It has been proven by real madrid that won 14 times of UCL, unlike city that doesn't have a single trophy in its trophy cabinet. Im not seeing any great achievement by city other than EPL. Chelsea has a better history compared with city.

Madueke, Joao Felix, Fofana, and Mudryk,  are the latest players that have joined Chelsea, if u check those players non of them is a midfielder for that one shouldn't say that Chelsea has very complete players in every position. Chelsea still has a big problem and that is the midfield. If you make a careful analysis from the past matches, u will discover that their mistake all came from the midfield. I am so surprised that they have little taste in fixing it.

Chelsea seems to be managing both Potter and the players than people actually think of Potter as the main character of Chelsea, the decisions of those new signings are mostly not his but the new management, he said something in metaphor regarding the new Chelsea new players after their yesterday match against Liverpool. Sincerely, Chelsea winning the champions league is very unlikely to happen because of their poor form, maybe they can try in the next season but for this season I doubt it will happen. The team is unstable and needs some more time to get organised especially with the new signings. Yes, we agree that there are a number of problems that the Blues must fix first. I very much doubt Chelsea will be able to qualify for the next round phase, maybe to overthrow Dortmund in the last 16 round later, Graham Potter's squad has a chance for that.

but it will not be easy to overthrow their opponent later, because Dortmund looks like they will start the second Bundesliga season with a positive trend. Now, Edin Terzic's squad have no problem with their injured players, Sabastien Haller may be Dortmund's differentiator in the second half of the season in their domestic league. but, this is just my assumption how it will be later. let's see, Dortmund will carry out the match today in its domestic league.

City last year, even in games with crisis Atlético experienced problems. They could lose even before they meet Real (if Real go far at all). City have a great squad and probably in a round-robin tournament they would be clear favorites, but in knockout games, how the bookmakers evaluate them is simply ridiculous - the odds for City to win the Champions League are 2.45. In second place is Bayern with a chance of 6.45. Absolute nonsense. City is not so stronger than all the others.

Football is much more complex and unpredictable than that, because if the favorites always won, then Brazil would be the world champion in the last few world cups, and Manchester City and/or PSG would win the Champions League all the time.
We know that Manchester City and PSG still, after investing a lot of time and money, failed to achieve their main goal, to become champions of Europe, and it is obvious that in football money can't buy everything.
I would say that more important than that is the unity in the team, and the physical and mental strength of the players.

I am one with you. The most serious problem for Chesley now is their injury problem. Several key players are out of the squad due to injuries. In tournaments with playoff stage, yes, money can't buy everything (although it can buy a lot). Unfortunately, in round robin tournaments, money bags easily achieve results. Regardless between Chelsea and Dortmund have poor performance in domestic league but Chelsea have bigger chance in UEFA Champion League after spent much money for several new player recruitment. No doubt with how many new player arrived, Chelsea still difficult to win actually on last match against Liverpool.

Both are down, but I prefer Chelsea who are more favored with all their downturn in the English league. A great team that should have been an interesting encounter if they were in very good shape, but instead they met at a time when they were both out of shape. I think it's not going to be the luckier one winning but whichever team will be more unlucky lol. I am sure that one of the teams will have some unlucky bounce, or like some great shots hitting woodwork, or a player making a split second mistake etc etc and suddenly the other team will win. It's not going to be easy to handle all of this, it's going to be quite tough and that's why I highly suggest that the best thing to do would be not betting on this game.

I am not planning on it, Chelsea and Dortmund has been terrible so far and I have to say it's going to take a while before they could be trusted to win a game, and neither look better than the other one so it's better if I stay away.

I do not agree about this Chelsea needs another ten years to win the Champions League because now soccer is very quickly changing and things are having faster than our imagination no one was thinking Newcastle United and Manchester United will be able to fight for the top ranks in English League but right now these both are at the third and fourth spot because they have better coaching and good amount to invest on quality players so same rule apply in case of Chelsea as they are spending amount even having not positive change, but surely things will be changed, and they will be able to have results like Arsenal in near future.

In this season, most chances they will be out of the competition in quarterfinal because things are not favourable for them and they are trying to adjust their winning unit which is taking time and Graham Potter is positive with the support of management to have good change in near future.
