I agree with you. If Rinku Singh plays well it will be easy for Kolkata to win the match. Also Nitish Rana and Russel are in very good form now. These two players have performed quite well in the last few matches. But another important player of Kolkata Venkatesh Iyer is not in good form. Rinku has been consistent this tournament and he made the team win about 2 to 3 matches already, but they shouldn't just rely on him as he can also get out early some day, and others will lead to rise to the occasion and save the day.

Agreed on Sunil Narine. Once upon a time, he was one of the heavyweights of the IPL. Even now, his contract is worth $731,000 per year. But he is neither contributing with the bat, nor with the ball. A better option for the Kolkata Knight Riders would be to replace him with David Wiese or Shakib al Hasan. Both of these players have got minimal opportunities so far in this season. BTW, it will be interesting to see the RR playing XI for this match. Last time, they received a lot of criticism for dropping Trent Boult (was replaced with Obed McCoy).

It was beyond my imagination that Kolkata would be beaten so badly today. Apart from Ventakesh Iyer, no other batsman in the team can stay at the crease for long. More importantly, there is no player in the Kolkata squad who is consistently batting well in every match. Every batsman's performance is very erratic. And so I don't see any possibility of Kolkata qualifying for the knockout round.

Jaiswal, what a player. Until yesterday I was sure Suryakumar Yadav is the best T20 batsmen in India right now, Yashasvi has obviously changed that for me. He is quite close to SKY only if he is provided enough opportunities to prove himself on correct forums. After Yuvraj Singh, I doubt India had any such "Best" T20 batsmen until SKY came in but now it's like we have a batch of them, including Gaikwad in the list as well. Jaiswal record of 13 ball fifty was almost quite near to Yuvi's 12 ball 50 record.

Of course there can be a good performance by a single player but a team win requires a collective effort. If everyone in the team does consistently well then the team's number of wins will be relatively high. One may do not change anything well but his single good performance cannot contribute to the overall development of the team. Moreover, I have not seen any KKR player perform well in the past few matches. I think their batting disaster is the main reason for their loss. KKR is not able to achieve anything by prominent players in this tournament.

Yesterday it was a forgettable performance from the Kolkata Knight Riders. RR won with almost 7 overs to spare. KKR needs a complete revamp of their bowling attack. As I can see, the decision to include all these inexperienced youngsters hasn't worked. As a first step, they can include David Wiese to boost the run rate in depth overs, and he is also handy with his medium pace. Vaibhav Arora can be included instead of Anukul Roy. I am not sure why Varun Chakravarthy missed yesterday's match. I guess it was due to injury.
