I was very happy to see Delhi's batting today. This was Delhi's best innings of the season. Delhi batsmen played well and Delhi's batting surprised everyone today. But their bowling and fielding is not as good as expected. They missed several easy fielding. However, at the end of 15 overs, Punjab King managed to collect 128 runs. Shikhar Dhawan failed to collect any runs. I am very annoyed by Atharva taide's batting. He however scored 55 runs. But his strike rate is 130. If Punjab's target was to win, Taide should have batted more responsibly. Punjab needs around 19 runs per over to win. I don't think it's possible.

No doubt Delhi were considered one of the weak team in entire IPL because of Thier starting consecutive long defeats, Rilee Rossow whose performance were absolute fantastic in other league but here he was off colour but tonight was his day because through his powerful hitting they scored such a huge.
I think this victory not much worth for Delhi then Punjab because they are already in bottom of standing while tonight victory could help Punjab to qualify for next round but unfortunately it's not happened. Now according to current stading RCB are more favorite to qualify for next round  because they still have two game to while Thier point are level with Punjab. Out of the 13 matches played by Delhi Capitals so far in this season, Rilee Rossouw was selected to the playing XI only for 7 matches. Actually it is tough to get selected, as they have a very good overseas contingent, which includes Anrich Nortje, David Warner, Phil Salt and Mitchell Marsh. If Marsh was fit for this match, then in all probability Rossouw would not have got selected. But without any doubt, he was the one responsible for DC's win yesterday. DC scored 65 runs from their last 5 overs, and this was when Rilee Rossouw went berserk with Phil Salt at the other end.

Delhi needed this win earlier. A win like this coming late in the season is only consolation. Delhi Capitals had some deficiencies in the team formation of IPL 2023 season. 
Still, Delhi Capitals might have done a little better this season if they could have used the players they bought properly.  Rilee Rossouw has performed well in the PSL and based on that performance, he needed to be included in the regular XI.  As Delhi have been a complete failure this season and hope they find their failings and try to develop there.

I don't think the Delhi squad was weak. The Delhi squad was very good. But Delhi's overall performance was very poor due to a lack of form players. Delhi batsmen in particular were out of form. Delhi batsmen performed well in the last few matches so Delhi managed to win several matches. David Warner has played very well this season. But his strike rate was very low in most of the matches. But the Delhi management should have been a bit more conscious in their squad formation. Next season, Delhi management will have to be more conscious about their squad formation.

I got confused by the post from n0ne, which claimed that there is a match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. That is incorrect. For Mumbai, the next match is against Sunrisers Hyderabad, while the Royal Challengers Bangalore will be facing Gujarat Titans next. Both the teams need to win these matches to qualify for the playoffs. We will get some clarity today, after the match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. The loser of today's match will be out of playoffs. But it is quite complicated. In the end, the 4th spot will be decided on the basis of run-rate.
