If I compare it to the Champions League of course I'd say it's much better than the Club World Cup.    There is a huge prestige difference. The Champions League is the highest level of competition in Europe truthfully.

Currently there is a division among people on the current competition. But as far as I can see, most people don't favour having it. This is why I'm also questioning its future. Maybe teams might also decide not to join anymore after the end of the current one.

If I rate it I'd give it a 5 or 6 I guess as not most matches are fun to watch.

The last game of the night was way better honestly.    Even though Bayern Munich made a great start to the game, Flamengo didn't give up easily. 6 goals in total and absolutely not a one-sided game!

When the competition originally started I think interest in it was not as high as there is interest in it now and this is because the games have become interesting and the teams that have qualified to these new round of the competition are now taking the games more seriously.

If this competition becomes established over time it will become as interesting as the Champions League and other competition that we already know are existing because teams will be better prepared for it and will take it more seriously.

Flamengo were not bad either, I would say they made it easy for Bayern, it could have been a different game if they had not let in two cheap goals ( own goal and the 3rd goal) in the first half. Bayern will face the real test against PSG in the next phase.

I think we have seen matches like PSG against Atletico Madrid, Manchester City against Juventus or this aren’t big enough to be called heavyweight matches. But yes I get your point and I think this is the stage where we will be seeing heavyweights go against each other, most probably it will be European clubs filing up the quarterfinals of the tournament due to their superiority,

This is actually the first time this two clubs will be meeting in a knockout stage since the champions league finals they faced each other. For me PSG are the best club in the word right now and not in Europe alone and are slightly ahead of any club to me, although Bayern Munich are not a push over club to me they have gotten better this tournament and are going to be a tough block for PSG but I will be going for a PSG win

Hehehe, I lost a few bets in the qualifying phase, but in the knockout phase I've managed to get all 4 games right so far
In the first phase we had some very surprising results, but I think that was because the Europeans still didn't know the strength of the South American teams

Maybe it's because the competition is been hosted in a country where football isn't really appreciated, they just do it because the rest of the world are doing. They value Basketball and their own "American football" that's why the competition isn't having the excitement it's supposed to have. I really wonder how next year World Cup might be. I just think it's because of the location that why the competition is boring, it's like they even had to change to smaller venues so that the stadium don't look empty because of the low turn up by spectators.

But there is a fundamental difference why Madrid could be held to a draw by Al Hilal. In my opinion, the change of coach factor made Madrid still not solid in the match.
