Are they going to try testing any apps in testnet 2? I remember reading something along those lines some time ago on the maidsafe forum. Either way it's good to see the project moving forward at a steady pace now.

It looks that way...: ) It will be a public network with, I understand, a downloadable client and some app(s) that folk who can't compile will also be able to use. So not just for geeks.
https://www.maidsafe.org/t/external-connection-to-testnet2/1867It looks like we are finally going to start seeing user accessible progress with the Maidsafe platform!

First, I come in peace!
Any links to some nice arguments on how e.g. MaidSafe can return money on BTC invested? I still have a bit of a problem thinking I will get more of a return on Maidsafe, XCP, etc. (not to group them all together) than BTC.
That said, I don't mind dabbling as this is incredible to take part in.
Thanks in advance, Its about sharing

BTC = Black Swan. BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.

I would browse this topic list on the Maidsafe forum; there are a few topics pertaining to price and economy of Safecoin. https://www.maidsafe.org/category/safecoinYou can also register an account and start your own topic if you can't find any specific information on what you are looking for...

I had my account hacked due to a weak password I was told. It has be re-secured and a stronger password implemented. Hacker was posting malware links using my account. Always use a very strong password.

You made a good decision. There's potential for a lot of upside here in the future.

https://www.maidsafe.org/Still in active development; TestNet2 is going to be released soon and no project renaming (though they briefly considered my rename suggestion,"The Awesomest")... Did you read any of the last page or did you just post without looking at any of it? Because 2 of those questions are easily answered up there...

That is a question that is probably better asked them (via the Maidsafe forum; they don't read this thread often but they are very active over there).

That's awesome! In other news, a Public Service Announcement - It has come to our attention that fraudulent MaidSafeCoins are currently being traded online. This is clearly unfortunate and is not a problem specific to just MaidSafe, we have heard of other organisations that have experienced similar issues. Despite being designed for legitimate use, some platforms, such as Counterparty, enable users to create fraudulent assets, or coins. As many of these networks are decentralised, and to some extent anonymous, it is not possible for the fraudulent issuance of coins to be banned or stopped.
As the following article points out, there are ways to determine if coins are counterfeit. Our recommendation is that that users looking to acquire MaidSafeCoins do so only via recognised exchanges, such as masterxchange or Poloniex.
This will be a temporary issue as once the SAFE network goes into beta, MaidSafeCoins will be traded on a 1:1 basis for safecoins. Within SAFE, only the network is able to generate new coins.

I think they are still rolling that part out. There is supposed to be something but David said in another post that there were some 'annoyance bugs' that they were fixing. I'd keep an eye on this thread; seems to be the closest to discussion on participation. https://www.maidsafe.org/t/testnet2-status/1900/8

Looks like someone is trying to stock up on more maidsafecoin each time the price dips. I guess they want to accumulate without driving the price up too much.

It's been happening like that for months...I buy when I can; I just don't have those resources but I get notifications on my mobile every time the price moves 5% and the pattern is very consistent.
