I actually thought of investing into 10 BTC to this coin. You do seem to have a nice community and the coin s been here for a long time.
Really wouldn't want to lose you, this coins is an important part of crypto community.

I am simply going to ask questions and see what are weak points of Hobo cause that is what an interested investor would do. Yes and no my man. I agree with many of your previous points on speculative nature of crypto currencies. In general, Bitcoin market is tiny and there are handful of examples where a coin is backed by some really useful service.
Diamond's philosophy was different to the rest of the coins, from the very start (apart form cryptogenic bullion - because they have almost identical mindset).
With the cloud backing DMDs price we in a way exploited speculative and intrinsic nature of crypto coins and turned it into something beneficial and value+.

Fact, the cloud has been battered recently due to unforeseen circumstances but this is temporary.

So yes, DMD is speculative like ANY OTHER coin, but to call it deragotary P&D .. doesn't make much sense.
Can you see anyone here pumping and dumping - like shveicar says "puppeteers" manipulating market to their own advantage? (just be sure you present credible evidence if you follow this argument )

People at the core don't dump for sure and if some traders wish to dump they are free to do so, it's an open 24/7 market and everyone is free to do what they want with their stash. No need to put a blame on anyone.

If you think DMD is a scam then dump and get out before it crashes.  But be considerate of the rest of us who may or may not be looking for a more opportune time to dump and get out.  The idea is to make money still, isn't it? 

I mean look at all the alt-coins now.  Do you really believe they are all going to be around in 3 years?  How many have opened and folded already?

The idea is to play the pumps and the dumps to your own advantage.  I don't see how trashing any coins benefits anyone unless you think you can short a coin worth a fraction of a fraction of a penny - which is kind of dumb.

I supported most the the criticisms of Utah and others but at the same time I have a stash of DMDs and I will sell them when the price is right for me.  That could be today or tomorrow.  But for sure I will be looking out for my own interests - and so should everyone else.  Anyone who wants to go down with the ship has a right to make that decision.

Has anyone tried sgminer V5 with the diamond kernel?  I use this version for other coins and it works fine, even providing some performance improvements over the old version for some algorithms.  Version 5 offers some new features like being able to switch pools with different configuration settings,for example mining algorithm.  In other words it allows you to mine on a DMD pool using the diamond.cl kernel and if the pool goes down you can automatically switch to a multipool using a different algorithm or you can switch to a different coin.

I have actually written a little front end for this version of sgminer that allows me to switch from one coin to another as difficulty increases to a point where mining is unprofitable.  But I cannot get sgminer 5.0 to work properly with with DMD.  Has anyone had any success?  The new version includes the diamond.cl but I cannot get it to work right.  I use the same configuration settings I used for the old sgminer and the result is all rejected shares for low difficulty.  If I remove the difficulty multiplier the results are even more bizarre.  I can get it to mine solo using the groestlcoin algo but the DMD pools don't like that.

Any help would be appreciated.

The diamond kernel is exactly the same as the normal groestl kernel, the only difference is how to generate the merkle root when submitting work to stratum. Try if it works on the getwork port on danbis pool, they probably forgot to handle this when using the diamond kernel.

That's what I thought too, but its not working.  I can't even mine solo using groestlcoin or diamond kernel without getting hardware errors.  Something is different.  I'll just have to live with two versions for now.

I really have had enough of seeing the consistent raving on of Argon18 at first he seemed to have some reasonable considerations, as constructive critasism is fair enough but over time it is becoming apparant that he is not here to help anyone but to try to damage the coin as much as possible. He must have some kind of motive or he wouldn't keep posting here.
