earlier today i made a post in the help section
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5206319.0

but someone suggested Id have better luck here.

I upgraded my wallet to 0.15.0.1 on the 30th.  But I don't know if the upgrade was supposed to give me a new receiving addy because i still have the same one and it no longer seems to be working on miningpoolhub.com. I can no longer add the characters I receive from my wallet's primary addy under receive.

the pool has this posted
Quote
- Monero hardforked. Update your miner as it needs new algo named RandomX Learn more
New monero doesn't support payment id type address anymore. (If you inserted address with dot before, then you are using payment id address type)
Monero payouts are resumed. XMR related auto exchanges are paused as Bittrex does not accept XMR deposits and withdrawals yet.
but i dont know what they are asking for

Id like to withdraw the xmr from my acc but im not sure what miningpoolhub wants me to copy paste into the payment address box because the line of characters the wallet provides, which is the same as before i upgraded btw,  generates the "Failed to update your account: Invalid coin address" when i try an add it.

any advice, suggestions to try would be greatly appreciated
TIA

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

[1] The wallet address won't change during an upgrade.

[2] For the withdrawal, are you trying to use an address that starts with an 8?

[2] For the withdrawal, are you trying to use an address that starts with an 8?

at first in my wallet app next to receive I was using the primary address listed as #0 and the first number was a 4.

but eventually i decided to click the little plus next to "create new address" and i named it test so it reads as #1test and does begin with an 8.

to be clear I now have a #0 primary that starts with 4 and #1 test that starts with 8. however both give me the same error result on the pool's monero wallet page "Failed to update your account: Invalid coin address" when i try to add either

The primary address (that starts with a 4) should work. Can you check whether the address you paste on the mining pool is valid? You can use this tool:

check address says
Yes! This is a valid Standard XMR address. (in green txt)
maybe I'll wait a week and try to add the address again i guess.

Make sure there are no spaces before or after the address you are trying to paste in.
A space " " before an address will not be visible to you but most coders don't check for and remove them in their field code.

That indicates you are using a valid address. Have you tried contacting the pool's support?

I really like Monero and i love the fact that the gui works with Tails OS, but don‘t you think it would be time for an easy to update/upgrade Debian package? I do not know how much work is behind this but for users like me, that need the wallet one or two times a month, it needs time to get all working after every version update.
Would be nice to see this working automated and quick by apt-upgrade.

Hi, here in Croatia the state is using backdoor build into operating system to activate malware to bottleneck HDD and do not allow people to sync blockchain or it takes a lot of time to do that.. The state is using brain-computer interface to read your thoughts and passwords from my brain and using backdoor in operating system to get to my wallet and stealing cryptocurrency like that... I lost XMR and I lost BTC like that.. They stole my bitcoin talk account like that and I cannot get that back.. They can manipulate the whole brain like that and modify emotions, pain, simulate illnesses that produce reactions on the body and they cause cancer to develop using this technology.. Crooked state...
They can steal money from bank reading your credit card numbers, so it not safe to keep your money in bank..

Loving the shift to CPU, since I am running a small to medium size CPU farm. Another side benefits, maybe the top Gaming GPUs will finally be less expensive and more available. Next level stuff I am waiting for is the 64 core Ryzen that was leaked, that thing is a beast on steroids!

I took advantage of the drop in gpu profitability last time to pick up a nice GPU on the cheap.

Brilliant! That's exactly what I am talking about. Going to build another gaming rig for the kids...

Beware Monero people, this is a rogue Epic Cash con artist trying to lure people into the project and pump up the value of his dev tax wallet.

I've just finished reading the post history and appropriate threads, thanks for the heads up. Smiley

I haven't looked at it but I read something about lottery so i assume its a solo if they are stating this in the description.

Quote
It is hoped that the relative slowness of a smart miner (especially on low-power machines) will be offset by the large amount of people running a miner for a possible "lottery win", and thus increase the Monero network security by a non trivial amount. The increased hash rate from many different sources helps keep the Monero network decentralized.

https://web.getmonero.org/resources/moneropedia/smartmining.html

I would think it would be impossible to find a block with that hash rather than improbable?

Thats not to say i don't welcome it but maybe there should be an algo that decides your hash is to low and throw you on a whitelist pool?
