I would say 50 bitcoins! In 20 years it will be around 10k and 500 grand is enough to retire imo

That might be enough, but what if the OP demands a luxurious life and a lot of travel?
No amounts can satisfy human greeds. You need to collect as much as you can, because nothing is too much enough for anyone.

For me 100 bitcoins is enough amount to have a mid class life when you retire. And it's better if you use at least 10 or 15 bitcoin from that 100 to be a capital to be able to start running your own business because business is one of the best way to continue making money and in business also you controlled your time and you are the boss Grin.

yes 100 bitcoin is a realistic target. I was also not possible to get so many bitcoin as 1000. 100 bitcoin also is my target and the only hope of future price at least above $5000

That's true 100 bitcoin should be enough for a retirement because if the price would reach $5000 i think it will pretty enough for you start a huge business and also buy the things that you like because if the in the future bitcoin will have a rate of $5k per bitcoin that 100 bitcoin will cost for $500,000 and that's very huge amount i can do all the things that i want with that amount Roll Eyes.

I think 100 btc is a really good amount to hold for the future, even if price doesn't reaches to the moon you can expect good and luxury life with that amount of bitcoins.

If you are just living a very simple life, you will be having a hard time to spend that amount until your die, if you have that amount you can increase that by investing a real business out from the crypto world and that is the way to take care of your money.

Not possible for everyone to hold that high amount for future, as its too high and not everyone can afford to hold it, better to keep some realistic value in mind and start working on it.

With price like nowdays, around $650 at my opinion you need around 10000 bitcoins, but it's also depends on country where you will live in future.

The price will be at least 1000 times more than current price in 20 years. So you need fewer than 100 coins.
WTF 10k bitcoin? I thought it was a crazy thing. collect bitcoin much? maybe now that has only 10k BTC satoshi Nakamoto
so do not talk too much. I think 100-500 BTC is enough
speak rational dude maybe it would be accepted by many people

1,000 times is like a dream or a fantasy that will never happen, in the future we can still see a good price but probably not that high. I know people just said that because we are too optimistic to make it happen to benefit on their investment.

You can never tell because all we can do is to speculate, if you believe it will happen, you are free to invest and even put your life savings on bitcoins.

Thats true no one knows how long the life of bitcoin or even it will last forever and also the price will be unpredictable but i think if the price would be stable in 20years your 30btc is not enough to make your life happy.

Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?
I think that that is going to depend on what the price is going to be in the future so at the moment it is not save to say what is going to be enough for the future.
You will have allot of time to earn Bitcoin in 20 years so you should get enough of them.

My advice is get bitcoin as much as you can. You never know what bitcoin will be worth in 20 years or so.
So, it's best to get as much as you can get and just hold for now, don't spend it until you're going to retire.

Its not good to hold our coins for next 20 years, if you want to earn profits from it then buying and selling should be done on regular basis, higher price will give you profits and lower price will give buying opportunity.
There are two-side of a coin. So why not try it and hold 1 bitcoin for a year, it doesn't make you regret for just holding $600 if the chance of getting a higher value is so high than making it a dead coin. I think after 20 years, price of bitcoin will be a 5-digit number so if you choose to hold then you'll be happy to get that high value.

you should have a target to be the benchmark. because if you're just trying to get bitcoin as much as possible, it could be the result does not correspond to retire in the next 20 years. but if it has a target like 100 bitcoin. you can calculate, how much should you get each day, month or year

The bitcoin price could be around $100,00 to 500.000 in about 20 years. So you need a round 50 to 10 bitcoins.

I would say it is better that you are going to hold hundred to thousands of bitcoins.
So that if ever the price of bitcoin is going to fluctuate from year 1 to year 20.
You are confident with the quantity of bitcoin you have.

Buying them right now? i would say 5-7 btc but it is really hard to say
nobody know what is going to happen with btc price next month, and we talk about 20 years here, believe me it is goddamn a lot of time
anyway i would say it will constantly rise after some time will pass, when whole btc pool is going to be mined. we will see anyway

it is impossible that the future price will reach $100,000 to 500,000.

You must be thinking when prices are low, and you only have 10-50 bitcoin in the future. you will regret it.
so I suggest you at least to have 100-1000BTC for the future, because we can not predict the price.

How many bitcoins do you need to retire in 20 years, purely depends upon what will be the value of bitcoin at that time. If the price is very high, then only small amount of bitcoins will be enough for you. but if the price s less then even tons of BTCs will not fulfill your needs.
