tomorrow will be the day for vericoin.. just wait and you will see
What makes you so sure? Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it hit 50k again, but I'm starting to become ever more skeptical of this coin =/ Too many of the features are not yet implemented. When will we see this Ver-SMS in action? When will the new website be launched? What exactly is going on with Veri at the conference in a few days? So many promising features, yet so few are actually implemented.. VeriSMS is out. Go to the VeriCoin website to try it out. New website will be launched when we are at the NABTC July 19-20. The only thing not implemented is FIAT... and that's because we're STILL waiting on Moolah . I'm in Australia, will the Ver-SMS work for me? Great to hear that more of the features are already implemented =D What can we expect from the NABTC?

It seems only one mobile operator is cooperating with us in AUS (I'm not sure which) for the AUS gateway. For NABTC: New website, new wallet, new feature.

Just to be clear, I support Vericoin, I hold quite a bit of it which is currently staking, I'm just wanting to confirm that all the new features etc are coming along as planned =D

The only thing not implemented is FIAT... and that's because we're STILL waiting on Moolah . Being on /r/Dogecoin/ for a while, I have come to love Moolah, have a lot of trust and respect for the guy, he deals with a ton of BS, but I think he has more projects than he can handle sometimes. Which is one thing when doing things for yourself/your own company, but when trying to partner up, *sigh*.. I just can't wait to see how everything will work out and am hopeful

Vericoin is really pushing the envelope getting crypto to a stage at which anyone including grandma can use it. It's fantastic work. I think it's visionary. It's all about utility. Nothing comes out of the box fully evolved. Getting into VRC is easier and easier but the problem still remains that getting out of VRC into Fiat without internet / smartphone is very difficult. I know there are projects like Outernet etc aiming to provide free global internet access (including BTC blockchain) but they are still a long way off. Meantime millions of people only have access to dumbphones. No internet. No bank account. No Wi-Fi. No crypto exchange account. Not a criticism but what use is a wallet full of VRC to them? VeriSend gets the VRC to the dumbphone but how will people cash the VRC into local currency? Scratch card solutions are centralised and vulnerable to heavy markups. It's a huge issue for millions who work abroad and want to send money home to family. Is there some way for a dumbphone to securely communicate directly with an ATM by SMS / Bluetooth or could a code sent to the dumbphone be keyed into the ATM so as to access local currency? Easy for me to identify the problem but a nightmare to solve it. Anyone any ideas? It will change the world forever.

VeriCoin had a great day on Wall St. discussing VeriCoin with some corporations. We also found some time to make it to the Bitcoin Center in NY.
We (Doug and I) are going to be hosting a party at the NY Bitcoin Center in the Financial District of Manhattan (across the st. from the NYSE!). The party will be in late July (date still not set in stone) and we will have lots of cool stuff to give away (VeriCoin Tee shirts, stickers, paper wallets with some VRC, etc.). We will also be bringing food and drinks.
Doug and I are happy to help contribute funds for this party, but if you would like to contribute, please send some VRC over to this address (the Party Fund): VJ61hq3A8RCq79uaWAFe56J3ri5RvitN15
Anything unused will go to the VeriFund.
It's going to cost a few thousand dollars to have a hundred shirts to giveaway, a DJ, etc. but we think it's going to be awesome. The tentative date is set for Monday night, 7/28, at 7 PM.
Please help us host the Very First VeriParty in NYC!

We need local merchants to accept vericoin/bitcoin. If you don't have internet access on your phone that merchant should be able to offer free wifi for people paying with digital currencies.

Yes you are right. A good part of the answer. However, in Indonesia for example, it is illegal to trade ( buy goods using crypto) but OK to trade crypto for fiat. Also, merchants in small towns are unlikely to want to accept VRC direct but might be willing to have an ATM if they get a percentage from ATM use. Also, ATM's might help reduce the problem of price hiking by middlmen. The world is so varied we will probably need many solutions to get VRC into mainstream use. It's already way ahead of other coins that are about as useful as a rubber crutch in a swamp.

The answer to your question was just discussed about 4 hours prior to your post. Not sure how you missed it but here it is: tomorrow will be the day for vericoin.. just wait and you will see

The only thing not implemented is FIAT... and that's because we're STILL waiting on Moolah . Hey Pat, No Fiat/Wallet this week? The plan is for this week... but Moolah seems to be having some serious internal issues. We're working with another company to make it happen but we can't say much about that yet.

I apologize if this was already discussed/requested elsewhere in this thread.
Feature Request: In the Vericoin wallet overview tab, could you include a line item showing the total amount of vrc/interest earned?

It's similar to this request: http://www.reddit.com/r/vericoin/comments/2836fz/vericoin_feature_requests/ci7tm5zYou should probably post your request there where it'll be permanently visible instead of buried in this thread.

Just click on 'transactions', then click on 'type', it will all be there sorted by date.

I am interested about this. Thanks in advance, Eth.

Sorry but I can't point you to the legislation (undang2) about trading in RI. I just picked up bits from local news. I used the situation here as an example of how merchant adoption is not always the solution.
