Why don't we merge mine 10 different coins instead of just 2? That would allow us to earn 5 times as many different kinds of coins.

With FoldingCoin you can earn additional coins. Being on CURE allows you to earn CURE in addition to our tokens. Please read up here http://foldingcoin.net/alttokens/ but the current tokens you can earn are: POWC - Powcoin SCOTCOIN - Scotcoin OCTO - Octoparty (in 2 weeks) Unannounced - We have another coin we will be announcing soon FLDC - of course FoldingCoin If you use a username like this one: PookTwo_ALL_16muW9htJAYrrXrKN8BwWTmT6cgXscXDzJ And if you are on the Curecoin team, you will earn all the above coins (plus any we add in the future) and CURE

Awesome! That means the more coins we get for the same amount of work, the less each coin is worth!

Not necessarily, we all know that BTC is the only coin so far out there that is accepted as the overall "crypto currency". There isnt another coin (even litecoin) that is excepted at most places. The way I see crypto is that each one will bring a different use to the table. Here is how i envision the coins working together on the FAH platform: - CURE - I do not want to speak on CUREs behalf, but would the admin of Curecoin please state what your plans for a use case scenario will be for CURE
- FLDC - This coin will be able to be used for the Counterparty marketplace (ebay for counterparty tokens) that we are building for transaction fees. For example: If you want to sell an item you may do so in any CP currency you wish, however, the transaction costs must be paid in FLDC
- POWC - Powcoin is trying to be a currency you use to buy comic books with. So there could be (could even be on the marketplace we are building) an area where you buy comics with POWC exclusively (you can contact POWC for more information on their coin https://twitter.com/POWCOIN)
- SCOTCOIN - Trying to become the crypto currency of Scotland when/if their independence ever gets passed. They have a great plan on how to do so (for more information please contact them http://scotcoin.org/)
- OCTO - They are going in a direction to use OCTO for fantasy sporting apps that they plan on building. They are currently in a rebuilding stage and this will take time. For more information please join in on their forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=960933
- We have another coin we will announce soon that has a specific use as well
Obviously this is just my opinion on how i for see the crypto space working out, but i envision cryptos having specific purposes. The whole point of Bitcoin was to be the universal token of the world and if you think about it, there really is no need for other cryptos to be used as everyday currency. even with the higher transaction time of BTC, there are fantastic services like Coinbase that push the transactions through instantly without having to wait for confirmation by utilizing off chain transactions for everyday commerce. However, i do believe with specific services on a coin by coin basis, that altcoins and tokens will be valuable for using that specific service. So the value of each coin will depend on the value of the service in which they intend/will provide the community in only accepting their specific coin for

Just a quick update, historical payout stats are nearly complete, and they'll launch this Sunday. Nothing beautiful, but has the basics.

It doesn't have to pretty as long as the data is transparent and available. Thanks for your work. As things progress I'm looking forward to getting more involved.

Any updates for 2.0?
Looking at hopefully pushing out a public beta in the next two months, I'll be able to put a lot more time in over the summer. If people are interested, I can post more source code, though the last source code post I put up got a whopping seven hits. Just a quick update, historical payout stats are nearly complete, and they'll launch this Sunday. Nothing beautiful, but has the basics.
In the next 4-5 weeks we'd like to have a preliminary public pre-alpha with: -Merkle Addresses -Simplified Blockchain -Certificate System
The simplified blockchain will behave similar to that in Cryptonite (XCN).
In August 2014
My goal is to have an alpha for people to test and play around with (testnet, basically) sometime in January of 2015, but there may be smaller public tests leading up to that to test specific features, performance, etc.
And now you are talking about months for a beta and that you will have more time this summer...
Excuse my French BUT WTF
When will cc 2.0 come out? in a few months, this summer, next year or never?
