Make sure you have enough virtual memory (around 7500 MB per card). I am running the 10.2 and it works smoothly (on 10X RX580) Why 10.2 is so bad, very often crash, no problems with 9.6? ...... 20:40:12:444 b4c sent: 148 20:40:13:220 ab0 Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 12 (error -8) 20:40:16:448 ab0 Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 12 (error -8) 20:40:17:291 484 recv: 51 20:40:22:862 9a8 Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 12 (error -8) 20:40:22:941 ab0 Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 12 (error -8) 20:40:22:990 484 srv pck: 50 20:40:23:024 484 Cannot get Overdrive capabilities for adapter 12 (error -8) 20:40:23:073 484 srv bs: 0 20:40:23:078 484 sent: 148 ................

v10.2 beta - bug
I also confirm drop of hashrate (~ -100h/s) when monitor goes to sleep or is turned off. Same happens when TeamViewer disconnects. Only solution is to have monitor always on or TeamViewer connected. VGA: 1x290x (HDMI), 2x280x
In v9.7 everything works normally.

Thank you!
I have 10 X RX580 and after increasing the Virtual Memory to 48000 I still got the errors. After I increased to 64000 it worked smoothly (it may also depend on how many cards you have).
What hash rate increase are you getting now?

To be able for 10.2 to run for a six card miner we need to set the virtual memory @40,000-50,000mb

Hi guys, can someone help me with overclocking my cards? Could someone give me a more detailled explanation about: -dcri Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal intensity, or Ethereum fine-tuning value in ETH-only ASM mode. Default value is 30, you can adjust this value to get the best Decred/Siacoin/Lbry mining speed without reducing Ethereum mining speed. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-dcri 30,100,50". You can change the intensity in runtime with "+" and "-" keys and check current statistics with "s" key. For example, by default (-dcri 30) 390 card shows 29MH/s for Ethereum and 440MH/s for Decred. Setting -dcri 70 causes 24MH/s for Ethereum and 850MH/s for Decred. -asm (AMD cards only) enables assembler GPU kernels. In this mode some tuning is required even in ETH-only mode, use "-dcri" option or or "+/-" keys in runtime to set best speed. Currently ETH-LBRY mode is not supported in assembler. Specify "-asm 0" to disable this option. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-asm 0,1,0". Default value is "1". If ASM mode is enabled, miner must show "GPU #x: algorithm ASM" at startup. Check "FINE-TUNING" section below for additional notes. NEW: added alternative assembler kernels for Tonga and Polaris cards for ETH-only mode. Use them if you get best speed at "-dcri 1" (i.e. you cannot find speed peak), use "-asm 2" option to enable this mode.
Do I need to set both -asm and -dcri? When I set these, how do they relate to overclocking and undervolting with -cclock, -mclock, -cvddc and -mvddc ?

Hi. Help please, I'm from Venezuela.
I have a rig of 470, 460 cards.
I use the v10.2 and blockchain drivers in win 10. Value -h not defined.
I receive many share rejected. Nicehash pool. Europe, USA, Brazil in all I receive a lot of "share rejected"
Excuse my bad English.

Let's start with a clean slate. Make sure the "config.txt" file looks something like this, it does not matter what is in there as long as each line starts with a # symbol. #-xpool #-xwal #-xpsw x #-allpools 1
Delete everything in the "start.bat" file then add this to the start.bat file save and run start.bat - let us know how you get on. setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -xpool ssl://europe.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20580 -xwal monolith.worker -xpsw x -nofee 1 -ftime 10 -h 0 -dmem -1

I had that behaviour when moved to claymore v10.2 but, to be honnest I had a superior speed with it. Like you, sometimes the miner restart and stay freezed at 0H/s as well. The only way of getting out of this state was rebooting the whole rig. And by rebooting, i mean shutting it off, wait 2-3s in power-off and then rebooting. Lowering the "-h" parameter bring more stability to the system. So, my current onfiguration is: Cards: RX580-4G,RX580-4G,RX580-4G,RX570-8G,RX570-8G,RX580-4G,RX580-4G,RX580-4G,RX580-4G,RX480-4G Claymore command line to XMR mining: -xpool stratum+ssl://xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14433 -xwal XMR_ADDRESS/$rigName/your@email.com -xpsw x -mport -3333 -h 850,850,850,1700,1700,850,850,850,850,850 As you can see, you can pass to the miner a comma separated values in that each one is to a specific card from my list above. For reference, the default "-h" value for the 4Gigs cards is "900" and "1800" for the 8Gigs. My current frequencies for each card are: CORE: 1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200 MEM: 2000,2000,2000,1900,1900,2000,2000,2000,2000,2000 XMR - Total Speed: 6948 H/s, Total Shares: 1340, Rejected: 0, Time: 06:43 | XMR: GPU0 715 H/s, GPU1 715 H/s, GPU2 715 H/s, GPU3 686 H/s, GPU4 649 H/s, GPU5 712 H/s, GPU6 715 H/s, GPU7 713 H/s, GPU8 713 H/| s, GPU9 615 H/s Hope this help Can anyone confirm what's the "-h" is doing behind the scenes? and why lowering it a bit bring more stability? Just wanted to update. I tried lowering the -h value on my rigs. I have three different setups: 6x RX570 4G - these are at 1200/1750/1000mV -h 850 -> These have been stable for last 24h, no resets 11x RX570 4G - these are at 1200/1750/1000mV -h 850 -> These have reset 2-4 times over last 24h - Going to test -h 800 to see if I can get better stability 11x RX580 8G - these are at 1200/2000/1000mV -h 1700 -> These have reset 1-2 times over last 24h - Going to test -h 1600 to see if I can get better stability For the RX570 4G cards, I'm hashing at 644, for the RX580 8G cards, I'm hashing at 733. I'm not sure why the RX570 4G have been stable but the RX580 8G have not. Hopefully this next test shows a better result. I'm not sure if there's a way to increase the virtual memory on SMOS. My rigs use 8G of physical RAM (tho I just realized that both my 6x and 11x rigs both are using 8G of RAM so maybe I should increase my 11x rigs to 16G of RAM). I'm not using SSDs either, SMOS is being booted from a 16G 3.0 USB drive. I'm not sure if 16G of physical RAM would increase stability as I used to mine Ethereum with these rigs and they have been stable with far more aggressive settings. The RX570 4G were at 1150/1750/950mV and the RX580 8G were at 1150/2100/950mV and the systems were stable for 100+ hours with no resets. Cheers, You can use overclock settings but let the NH run claymore, or run claymore alone without undervolt (-mvddc or -cvddc). It works for me...

thx claymore 390x made 1200 h/s
Those things need a nuclear power plant run. Notabatman, i follow up your posts and i like how you think. i tried GG and Sgminer because of you (however wasn't in this forum) Now, i mostly have some Hawaii GPUs of which two i destroyed, but anyway, i have been obsessed with the fact that these are really power houses because of thier massive memory bandwidth. yet with LOADS of intensity/work size tweaks i can never get more than 860 h/s with those on 1040 mhz Undervolted. I have a 290x with Stilt's this thing is really optimum, in GPU-Z consuming ~90 watts (probably 110 w in reality) but anyway, with Cryptonight, consumption is way less so i do raise the core clock but still. What do you reckon a good build is? I have some questions for Pros and i do hexedit a lot but i'm really clueless on what to do on Hawaii Elpida BBBG (i overclock the stilt one) and on 390 Nitro i leave it to stock 1500 (Hynix AJR) but i would really be happy if i can get on hold of a build (timings/thread/intensity) thanks in advance. BTW 10.2 works for me now, glitchy with my 270x 4gb (which is massive performer for its price and age) 390s,blockchain, Nicehash xmr gives me steady 840 h/s+

Hi there cataloging experiences with Cryptonote Miner and HD 7850 & 7870 rig. I had a hell of a time troubleshooting etc. Firstly rig specs Core i7 875k @ 4.3mhz cpu GA-P55A-UD5 mobo 8GB dr3 1833mhz @ cl8 or 1600mhzcl7 ram 1SSD + 5xHDD 3x HD7850 2gb 1x7870 2gb, Hashrate =1900h/s-2100h/s GPU only. Miner used - 9.7 PSU 600w Bronze for cpu and hdd and cooling fans. + 12v 18a 180w PSU for 2 7850 (from my idle 3d printer Windows 10 On stock settings.....cards quickly reach tdp limit. 69c will kill these cards, as apparent by the burning metal & epoxy smell. so really need to monitor temps. Pros Relatively easy and intuitive? Theres a large user base. Issues, sometimes command line options don't work. Sometimes, it's better to leave the rig in tune mode, as this stops freezing issues with displays. DevFee causes big drop off from pools after the 1hr mark. I checked logs and the pool switching is the problem. If you turn off the display, the miner has a spaz and the pc freaks out causing low hash rate and expired shares. Logical differences and physical differences haven't been accounted for.. i.e reporting that the miner is going to use 2140mb of ram when physically, there is only 2048 addressable. Status displays only the first 2 miners, wheres stats for the others? GPU gives new name eveytime the system is rebooted, difficult when overclocking. Overclocking inside of the app caused bsods and crashing. Irrelevant feature. Remote management is good in theory, but should be turned off for security reasons. Also, disabling devfee did no appreciable decrease in hash, when active it produced 5 Dev Fee shares over 7 minutes....what's this shit? Screwing my shares expiring them and hashing your own pools? btw, as everyone said, don't try to connect to my pool and kick me out while you mine, of course the app will error out. Overclocking from catalyst, (Crimson is ruuuuubish) is now made more difficcult due to Claymores "Driver recomendations") If overclocking pump out the memory first, then when adding memory goes backwards, and some juice 1-2% when it evens out hash rate again, pump up the cooling, when its stable increase Core Processor clock, this allow more headroom to increase ram speeds some more. Also, when using older hardware(like my mobo) You need to add poweer to the units in ascending order (Furthest from cpu to closest) to smooth out ripple and prevent line level load drop (and also staggered hash counts) Claymore 10.2 doesn't even run half descent. 323h/s as opposed to 440h/s? gummon maite (c'mon mate) But, i am gratefull i can mine at full hash without your fee! i find it highly unreasonable how much you ask of people for your product...capitalism at it's worst...Anyone using these cards, nofee 1 is the way to go. otherwise mining wasted shares. Also, low reported hash rates were due to windows system processes chewing up grunt for some wastey rubbish NSA spying...i mean windows updating *cough

Get some RX570/580s you'll find they run relatively trouble free, are easy to mod and cheap to buy. This miner is also beta so I wouldn't be too hard on claymore regarding bugs and problematic default settings on old cards. Clay should probably remove the dev fee until a polished version is available IMO.

Hello,
i´ve a lot of trouble, with the DevFee Server. Isn´t there a, let´s say "KeepAlive" option for the DevFee Server. I´m loosing my connection to the DevFee Server, frequently, exactly after 10 minutes, except the time between two founded DevFee Shares is less then 10 minutes. As much as i know, german providers handle this different. Some providers disconnect the session, after 60sec without traffic, others after 10 minutes. If i understand right. DevFee is mined every hour for 36sec. So, there is no traffic for about 60 minutes. And of course the provider disconnect this connection. I´m loosing a lot of power, because of these ongoing re-connections. The only solution right now is, to use the -nofee 1 option, i really don´t like.
This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 1% if you use secure SSL/TLS connection to mining pool, every hour the miner mines for 36 seconds for developer. If you use unsecure connection to mining pool, current developer fee is 1.5%, every hour the miner mines for 54 seconds for developer.
Is there anything i can do, from my end, to get rid of these disconnections?
Many greatings, Marcus
