Hello guys, can someone share which hashrate can ryzen 1700 achieve with xmr-stak miner?
With aeon-stak getting about 2300 H/s(oc at 3.7, 15 threads)

OC at 4.0 gets ~2070 H/s with just 8 threads and you can still use your PC for just about anything without it lagging out on you (hashrate will drop some, but probably averaging 1500 or more while doing office type work.

Sounds interesting, I'll give it a shot
Thanks

You will need to increase the vcore a good bit to get it stable at 4.0 (at least that's the case for the vast majority of Ryzen R7 CPUs). You will probably need aftermarket cooling to deal with the extra heat. I have a 120mm AiO on a Ryzen 1700 in one PC and it handles the job pretty well. With a R7 1700X at the same settings it takes a 240mm AiO to keep the temps low enough for me to be happy with them.

Tried it for a bit, but I have the stock cooler so it got a bit hot. Also don't know why(tried some different configurations) but only got around 1600 H/s.
Do you know if ram frequency plays any part?

Did you enable locked pages in memory (requires Windows 10 Pro)? That will give up to 20% higher performance if you do.  What configurations did you try that gave 1600 h/s?

AEON is one of the best competitor to Monero imho. Compared to ZCASH it is fully trustable and has no business model wrapped around.

There is a true open source community which is coding this coin for free.

I have windows 7 pro with locked pages(don't trust windows 10). I just tried with 0,2,4... and 1,3,5... . Prefetch true slow memory never
Though with 15 threads at 3.8 I can also browse and stream  but if I want to play a game I turn the miner off. In the next days I'll also get a watt meter so I can also post the watt consumption

You could join the "older" smaller pools. Those are probably more stable. We had many new pools and pool owner recently, which is good for adoption, but also brings inexperienced pool owners in.

https://aeonpool.xyz/
https://aeonpool.dreamitsystems.com/
http://serenity.hiddenjadestone.com/
https://aeon.sumominer.com/
Not a full list, just what comes in my mind right now

I hope you wont turn your shoulder away from mining AEON just because of one or two bad experiences:)

Or if you have enough hashrate, you could solomine and maximize your part in decentralization, see previous posts

Unfortunately I am way too small for solo mining.
So thanks for the list, I started to try out those pools. I am not certain yet which pool is better for me, my hash rate is pretty small. Of course, I started with the bigger from the list, since for the peace of mind is better to see now and then a block is found. (Until now it's all good.)
So yeah, I am back to AEON mining. Bad handling on a pool here or there will not make me (yet) not like this coin.

Thank you. Is there a chart for the total hashrate of Aeon since the beginning? I want to see its progress from a mining viewpoint, and compare that with its interaction on the price.

I can't say for sure how much the hash rates increased from the start, but I do distinctly remember it was @ ~5MH/s of total network hashrate when I started in August... Now it has almost tripled Smiley

Does anyone know if it's a problem pointing my solo mining stratum server (sammy007) to a public node? I'm running some pretty big hashrate...

Hello!

What is the safest and most effective way to go from AEON to USD deposited in my bank account?

Thanks a bunch in advance.

Exchange AEON for BTC on Bittrex, send BTC to Coinbase and exchange it for USD.  You can sell BTC for USD straight into your linked bank account.  Coinbase will make you jump through hoops and prove your identity etc... but I do believe they are the "safest" option.

I'm seeing only a few posts mentioning pools here. I'm going to throw my pool out there. We were previously known as minegeeks.net and we recently upgraded our software and hardware. We are now 4%+ of the network. Our payout method is PPLNS. We are building a community of like-minded miners and welcome our miners to our Slack channel as well. 0% fees until November 5th/6th and then we introduce a 1% fee.

I've already seen some similar ICO, why are you different?

This has nothing to do with any ICO whatsoever.  There's no way to correlate the two by any stretch of the imagination if you had read the first post, let alone the rest of the thread.  Are you a bot or are you drunk?
