Hey guys having little trouble receiving Aeon I sent a few to my address via the console panel and still nothing. hitbtc has sent and confirmed it. Wondering if doing something wrong? I have both wallet and aeond running.
Typed refresh showing nothing and typed incoming_transfers and display no incoming.

Do you have the transaction ID? If you can find it in the block explorer ( https://minergate.com/blockchain/aeon/blocks ), that means your transfer is confirmed.

So this means that the transaction was recorded in the blockchain at height 903203, about 2 hours ago. Are you sure that your aeond is fully synced? If you type "bc_height" in simplewallet, do you see the latest block height (903244 as of now)?

You need to wait until the daemon fully syncs the blockchain (might take many hours). You can check your daemon's synced height by typing "diff" in aeond (the number next to "BH"). You don't need to run simplewallet before your daemon finishes syncing; only after the full sync can simplewallet show you the correct balance.

Is there a GUI version of the wallet (for windows) ? Nothing against cmd line, but to attract a large number of people this is something that help!

Not at the moment. I think there used to be some GUI that wraps around simplewallet, but it became obsolete over time. When smooth finishes rebasing Aeon to the recent version of Monero, it will become a possibility to port Monero's Qt-based GUI wallet to Aeon.

whats the status of this coin ? anonymous coins are going to be huge this year I mined a few aeon coins, but this coin has been out since 2014 but no GUI wallet (really hurting its mass adoption) ? I think the coin could really be the Litecoin of monero if it had some updates , Im watching Sumo concerned that it will surpass Aeon (nice wallet clear roadmap that's hitting its goals) and become what we thought Aeon was going to be come. Is the Dev working on this project still or is it abandoned ?

I believe the dev, smooth, is rebasing the code to bring Aeon's tech in line with the current state of Monero. There's isn't much activity on github though, so I'm hoping this development is happening on a private branch and we'll see the results one day.

@Durins Bane. The lottery mentioned to be sure to account for the 0.01 transaction fee. We know some Aeon holders might be intimidated in using the command line. So maybe it is a good idea to post the exact command or instructions to type in the command line.

Aeon was launched very long time ago by an anonymous developer who had to abandon it unfortunately.
When the coin was about to die, smooth stepped up and saved it.
Even though the development activity is low at the moment (which I think is kind of intentional), some important fixes are applied in a timely manner, and the network is functional.
The codebase is maintained well.

Aeon has some special role to play. It's laughable to compare it with scams like Sumokoin.
