What a spammer guy The current official communication channels are afaik: - this bitcointalk forum - freenode #aeon (you can use a free irc webclient like: https://kiwiirc.com/client) - Monero/AEON slack - Reddit /r/Aeon/ Why would we use discord if we have already freenode channel that is sufficient:) just my two sats |

I'd recommend IRC though because you have more tools to play with such as the tipbot. |

When recovering the aeon wallet from the Mnemonic Seed, is it still done like this? Go to the folder containing simplewallet and run "./simplewallet --restore-deterministic-wallet", entering your mnemonic seed when prompted. NOTE that this will simply restore your wallet keys. You will still need to scan a blockchain (either your local blockchain or a remote blockchain) to see your balance and make transactions. havent tried it yet myself since there was never a need, but would be good to know in case Should add an Aeon tips page to your site Yeah had that in mind but want to verify first, that this is the common practice to retreive a wallet from seed before making it public I'm pretty sure that's the correct way. I thought it's one of the most basic information for Aeon users, so I'm surprised that hiddenjadestone hasn't covered it already. |

Hiddenjadestone knows how to backup their wallets so there was never a restoration needed:P One never stops to learn, glad i was asked by another user recently, so i can add that to the KM, havent thought about before:) Will test it out tonight to verify that it works before adding it |

Is anybody able to sync the blockchain with the latest release?
Keep getting this message:
2017-Oct-16 11:51:40.780281 [P2P9]Failed to connect to any of seed peers, continuing without seeds
What to do? Makes this project useless if you can't sync and won't be able to use or even create a wallet ..?
Can anybody please upload their p2pstate2.bin file? Thanks

This error never occurred to me and looks strange. Aeon's seed node is maintained by smooth and should be up and running all the time. Also WTF is this arno guy doing? Keeps cropping up this guy is he trying to break the network? or duplicate coins, double txs? https://pastebin.com/qmpMptQADefinitely not, arno is Arux's username on his Windows computer to build official Windows binaries for Aeon. You should be grateful for his service. I'm not sure about those error messages, though. |
