It's impressive what smooth has done with this coin.  Now it's on bittrex.

I remember this post.  You've come a long way from just maintaining a repo.  Congrats.  Now I'm kicking myself for not mining this coin when the difficulty was a fraction of what it is now.

If anyone has a seed node (just any node on the network with a static IP and high uptime) let me know and I'll add it to my repo for anyone wants to continue to use this coin.

I don't intend to do new development but I will maintain the code with critical bug fixes from upstream.

yes, thanks you smooth for you involvement. this coin was damn near on his deathbed. your work and your ideas saved it.

ok scanned again using easeus see a awallet.keys file and many other wallet.dat. got a multibit wallet. too anyway to know which wallet is which

edit: think i found my menmonic words too

the words are the easiest solution Smiley

if you want, i can plug them in my wallet and see if your coins are there and send them to your new address again.
(for free of course, don't want to profit from someone else's misery)

edit: do you have the seed from your new wallet on paper now?  Tongue

i think i need to pay to recover the file, it wont let me preview it so i can give it a try to recover. i really i hope i get it. those coins gonna be worth alot one day. hope it doesnt turn out to be like that guy who lost his hard drive in bin and now those btc are worth 1.2million dollars

i decided to launch a tiny aeon pool. it was first to educate myself and now i'm happy to make it public.

it's absolutely not an "official" aeon pool.

it's a personal initiative, i plan to admin it as a hobby. there's no specifically endorsement by the project (=aka smooth)
this pool is alive thanks to the help of MoneroMooo. he was really fairplay to share his knowledge with me for nothing. (and to be fully honest, without him, i was unable to setup my pool)

this pool will not be at same quality level as http://aeonpool.mooo.com (so don't move!) but it can be useful as failover pool.

The continuation is this way: http://52.8.47.33:8080/

I see the development of the project Aeon.
I think it is similar to the history of Greece.
Aeon as the Greek drachma has to be reborn.
What if the symbol for the Aeon to take an image of the Greek drachma?

I like coin with the image of Homer.
Let him be born a new legend - Aeon!

yes, i defined it in the config file of the pool.

Minimum Payment Threshold: 0.050 AEON : your pending balance must be superior to 0.05 AEON to receive a payment. (if you mined 0.049, you will not be paid yet.)

Denomination Unit: 0.001 AEON: it's the minimum to reach to be displayed in pending balance. if you mined 0.000856 AEON, your pending balance will show 0.000  (but the pool keep the real value of 0.000856 for the next round). if you mined 0.0256852 AEON, your pending balance will be 0.025 and 0.0006852 are kept in memory for the continuation.

it's what i understood  Grin maybe i'm wrong...

[Edit] i'm wrong  Grin
Denomination Unit: 0.001 AEON: according to the doc, truncate to this precision and store remainder.
so if you mined 0.0656852 AEON, you will be paid 0.065 and 0.0006852 will be stored.

The technical aspects I know little about.  It just seemed to me that the threshold is rather small and dusty.

Kim Dotcom the founder of Mega has said he is no longer associated with it and it should not be trusted.

Please use another file hosting service for uploads from now on.

Dotcom: I'm not involved in Mega anymore. Neither in a managing nor in a shareholder capacity. The company has suffered from a hostile takeover by a Chinese investor who is wanted in China for fraud. He used a number of straw-men and businesses to accumulate more and more Mega shares. Recently his shares have been seized by the NZ government. Which means the NZ government is in control. In addition Hollywood has seized all the Megashares in the family trust that was setup for my children. As a result of this and a number of other confidential issues I don't trust Mega anymore. I don't think your data is safe on Mega anymore. But my non-compete clause is running out at the end of the year and I will create a Mega competitor that is completely open source and non-profit, similar to the Wikipedia model. I want to give everyone free, unlimited and encrypted cloud storage with the help of donations from the community to keep things going.

Yes I agree it would be better to set it higher especially with the value and difficulty as low as it is.

0.05 is something like 0.0000025 BTC

I will be bumping up the default transaction fees to a more realistic level and improving handling of transaction fees generally once everything is stable after the hard fork

If you can't mine, describe your problem more precisely (ie, any error messages, you see, what miner you use).

Also, make sure you are using an Aeon address. Some GUI package miners create a Monero address by default, and that's not going to work.

I try to mine directly on exchange .

That usually won't work because most pools don't support a payment ID
