I would be surprised if you were to report that it was mining fast That is a low power mobile Nvidia chip, of the oldest generation still supported (Fermi architecture). The fact that it can mine is neat and all, but it's certainly not going to be fast by any measure. Should also note that generally speaking, CPU's are just as good (if not better) at mining Aeon than GPUs, much like so happens with the parent algorithm, Cryptonight. The performance balance between GPUs and CPUs might change eventually, as GPU miner development is very much active at the moment, but I don't expect that the scale will end up favoring GPUs (or not by much anyhow).

i pulled it off. just use the "compile monero" instructions in my sig, but replate the git clone with the aeon repository.

Edit: Do I need to backup the wallet files - or can I restore from anywhere with only and just only the seed? Do I need to keep the wallet ID? And, I compiled from aeonix/aeon - even though smooth's branch has 1 more commit. Should I compile from the aeonix branch or iamsmooths?

Shapeshift recently introduced a mobile app. I asked them to add trading support for Aeon (and Boolberry): https://twitter.com/BBRcurrency/status/659577092997144576In situations like this it may make sense to work together. Poloniex receives the most CryptoNote trading volume right now in part because they list the most CryptoNote coins (I think they should all Aeon). It makes sense for Shapeshift to support multiple CryptoNote coins. Both Aeon (Bittrex) and Boolberry primarily on Poloniex (but also Bittrex and BTER) trading volume has been higher the last several days. Now is as good a time as any to push for additional exchange listings.

Arux compiled it before for the folks here to test. Maybe he can have another go at it when he's around.

Here's an idea for a video media logo. Why not write the logo on a doodle pad and erase it (but the logo shows up on another doodle pad in frame ) as a simple illustration of aeon's capabilities. The hair thing got me thinking of the old style magnetic shaving pads where you made hair lines on a man's face, but aeon is too edgy for the old style. Nice logos jwinterm. Very clean design.

Hi everyone, ik this is my first message, but i've keeping my eye around the forum for awhile and, before launch this post asking help, i searched to figure it out before bothering with silly question.... Arux, nice work on the miner but it seems i'm getting Error 61 (which i could find it's something about auto-tune/confg of your gpu hardware on the miner/) since my graphic card is a low budget and the remains of some coins i could gather from a work, i started decreasing one by one to see if, even starts the miner. . . #conf so far, but still crashes sometimes (too scary to see if it's stays ok )#R7 240 amd "name": "AEON", "devices": [ { "index": 0, "corefreq": 500, "memfreq": 1250, "fanspeed": 75, "powertune": 10,
"threads": 1, "rawintensity": 1000, "worksize": 16 }It do starts, and show this another error it goes from line 226 to 338: warning: argument of type "uchar *" is incompatible with parameter of type "unit *" after awhile, it shows hash rate (138h/s) p:s max that i've ever achieved with other miners was around 85-100 not that much... but in your pool doesn't show any work from my address.... may i please get some help? ^^'''

jwinterm, i'm not a fan of the fuzzy versions but the clean one up top looks awesome! i'd probably tweak it by lightening up the colors a little bit. If we added a little brightness and contrast (to liven up the blue and grey) then we have a gorgeous logo on par with the serious technology that belies it. Great work with this, and thanks. I have high hopes for this blockchain in the future! I'm sure we won't just serve as a valuable testbed for CN ideas but perhaps will even establish a personality of our own over time.
