I have bought some XEM (more than 10k) and sent it to my wallet. Opened wallet on local machine and I still can't start local harvesting. It still claims I have too few XEMs. Also "Importance of account to the NEM cloud" is still 0%. What is the problem?
It takes time for your XEM to get vested. You need 10k vested XEM before you can start harvesting. Each day 10% of your XEM will get vested. Does my wallet need to be open all that time? You may close and open your wallet whenever you like. But if you want to be harvesting while your wallet is closed or your computer is turned off please read more here: http://support.ournem.com/knowledgebase.php?article=8http://support.ournem.com/knowledgebase.php?article=13Thank you. Another question: Can I create lets say 10 wallets where I will send >10k XEM and enable delegate harvesting for all of them? Will same effect be achieved with one address/wallet that contains amount of XEM equal to all of that 10 wallets? Yes. The only effect to increase that odds for those 10 small accounts is to develop some scheme to circulate XEM between them - that would temporarily give you larger importance score. We are testing/playing some scenarios to see how that work here on the official forum. We have started another round already but in short future I believe we will be doing it again so if you want to join - keep an eye on this thread: https://forum.ournem.com/general-discussion/spread-some-xem!/ Thank you for clarification. I have an account there, will follow news for sure.

Another question regarding delegated harvesting, do you have to stop and restart delegated harvesting every time you change the remote server? I havnt harvested any blocks yet and am unsure if im doing everything right. I activated deligated harvesting on launch day and was running as a local node at the time as i didnt know much about how it worked.
No, it is not necessary to stop and start but probably is a good idea. No need to deactivate delegated harvesting. You can use it locally too if you want to. If you change servers it will say delegated harvesting is stopped. But it may still be running on the other server. There is no advantage to harvesting in more than one place. If you change servers you may not see the list of blocks harvested. But the amount harvested is in your account. Why not run your own? It is free and easy. I will be posting a new tutorial for a free windows VPS soon. https://forum.ournem.com/vps-nodes/how-to-create-an-amazon-ec2-vps/https://forum.ournem.com/vps-nodes/list-of-dedicated-vps-nodes-to-conect-nem/

Anyway, how do i tell if delegated harvesting is working? I have no idea if it is or not. Im also getting this error now for whatever reason, was working fine earlier today. Oops! ERROR 305 The NEM Infrastructure Server (NIS) is not available. Try to restart the NEM software. If you are using a remote NIS, check your configured host for typing errors or use another remote NIS.

If the NCC client says "Delegated harvesting is active" and the button says "Stop delegated harvesting", then it is doing what it is supposed to do. I'm not sure about the error. maybe it is a network issue, or something happened to the server you were on?

Yes, I have one on poloniex, but i still don't know how to get/send xem into my wallet(( If you want to buy a million or more there is an auction.https://forum.ournem.com/nem-news-alerts/yes!-auction-2-is-live-now!!-3175/But withdrawal from Poloniex is pretty easy really. Just go to the Balances page, fill in the amount to send, your account ID and the message generated by the system , click on Withdraw XEM.

Yes, I have one on poloniex, but i still don't know how to get/send xem into my wallet(( I don't know what you've done so far so let me begin from scratch: - Go to nem.io and download the most recent version of NEM software here: http://nem.io/install.html
- Istall it and everything is ok you should see the wallet (NCC) apear in your browser tab
- Create wallet - name of the wallet should not contain spaces or dots; also please choose a strong passwor (at least 12 characters)
- Once logged in your wallet you should see your address on the left side which you can use to accept XEM
- Please make sure you make a backup of your wallet files
http://support.ournem.com/knowledgebase.php?article=3Then go over Poloniex and buy some XEM. When you have your XEM you need to send it to your address in your wallet. To do that go to https://poloniex.com/balances and find your XEM balance. On the right from your balance there are fields where you can set the amount and the address (use your wallet address), you don't need to put any message (but you can if you want) when withdrawing the funds from Poloniex. Click on Withdraw XEM and your XEM should be visible very shortly in your wallet! If you have more questions, and you probably have, feel more than welcome to join our official forum: https://forum.ournem.com/ or submit a ticket on support.ournem.com We welcome you in NEM! :-)

I never got any acknowledgement from makoto when I pmed about not being on stake list. Now I see it is pushed out a bit longer, past the April 30 deadline to send a pm, any way to know if I am in time? Would be great to get the stake in the next round.

It is not needed... You may leave it blank When depositing XEM on Poloniex it is needed so that they can distinguish your deposit from others (they use one NEM address for all deposits as I remember)

I think only the not vested balance is taken into account and therefore the 10% are smaller than before. Day 1 it's 10% of 20000 Day 2 it's 10% of (20000 - vested from day 1) ... So I'm guessing it'll take about a week before you're able to harvest with a balance of 20k. /edit: Quickly whiped out some python and if I haven't fucked up this is what it should be like (don't count on it though...it's early) day 1: 2000 vested out of 20000 day 2: 3800 vested out of 20000 day 3: 5420 vested out of 20000 day 4: 6878 vested out of 20000 day 5: 8190 vested out of 20000 day 6: 9371 vested out of 20000 day 7: 10433 vested out of 20000

I think it would be great if we could have some more info about vesting. We get a lot of similar vesting-related questions and I think it would be very helpful to have info about vesting put on FAQ or Knowledgebase.
