One of my S3's overclocks like a beast!

The other sadly doesn't suffer the same fate! it's hashing at 430 at 218, any higher and the rate drops!

Make sure to keep that beast cool (sub 35C pref), they really don't like getting warm when you run them at 237/250MHz (hash rate starts dropping and you might get and x or two after 10h+ of running)

Unfortunately I cannot get them running much lower temps! they run at 40/42 at stock! it's due to the room temp that I can't get them lower! here is an updated pic of how they look after running overnight!

Still going strong

Right now I have two Gigampz pushing 900W HP server power supplies to 8 PCI connectors split between both. Each is pushing 440gh (At 218 and 250) and that's the best I can do no matter the frequency settings.

The unit running at 250 will hash at 500gh but only for about a half an hour before dropping off sharply.

Great, you got that odd device.

i'm going to have to run the 10hrs+ myself.
it's at 485gh/s average and 518gh/s current
impossible for me to keep the units sub 40C in the ambient temperature of the room though, so i'm not sure how it will hold up

also, I do not know if this is worth it. from 225 to 250 it added 75watts on the killawatt. So it's now pulling around >~450w for ~490-500gh/s ( with risk of dying after 10hrs of running as mentioned about )

Also, after changing queue to 0 and adding scan-time 1 and expiry 1, the unit has completely stopped having more discarded shares then accepted!  Grin

Mine are running in a 30c ambient temp room! temps are not above 45c for the units! The miners can run up to 80c - not that you want them to run up that high!!

If i want to use these small fans to lower temperature:

https://www.leroymerlin.es/fp/14453873/ventilador-fe-10c

and because i see its so cheap to have them all day running... where will you place them? i mean, these S3 are inside a box, so i will have maybe to put those fans in the rear part taking hot air out, and maybe in front also to blow more fresh air inside the front vent that blows air into the S3?

Are you changing anything in the network settings?  Is your Antminer in the IP range covered by your router?
In the pool configuration you don't need to enter 'http://...' only 'stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333' (example if you use Slush). Make sure that you don't enter any extra spaces and that all of your credentials (Pool worker and password) are correct.

Cheers

ok just to narrow it down:

i am running this off my home PC's power supply. it has 2 6p connectors coming from my silverstone 1200w. my home pc is fairly basic nothing over the top so its got plenty of juice. (is a dedicated psu must?)

AND

on my router the router lights up orange rather than green but i can still log into s3 and change settings. and as i mentioned it will mine once it is reset all on original settings.

i have been on this 10 hours straight now and i feel like throwing the miner at the wall.
also i have somewhat previous experience in mining - like 8 rigs at a time etc. so i know how workers, pools, basically work.

And make sure you set a DNS too. That was my mistake. I have mine on 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.2.

without lots of screen shots can't tell what is wrong.

here are 2 working s-3's  what does this page look like for you?  notice both work even with wrong wireless settings since I am using cat5 hookup

Ipv4 broadcast 192.168.0.255 would be good since the miners are at 0.246 and 0.245                             192.168.1.255  is wrong

here are some pool settings

I had exactly the same as you.  I`d reset my Ants and they would hash fine.  Where it says "use custom DNS server" try putting a new DNS like 8.8.8.8.  It worked for me. Give it a pop.
