Ok, so I love the concept of SDC. It has great promise! However whats up with the Paper wallet on the SDC page??? I transfered all my funds from the exchange and now I have no way to get them out!
Is there a way to import my paper wallet into the Shadow desktop wallet??? Any help is appreciated, seems its impossible to find an answer to that question and feel my funds are hostage to this paper wallet.

There should be a private key on the paper wallet that you can load into the software wallet using the importprivkey command in the wallet console. There is a console, wow that needs to be better documented. Great project, but there needs to be one page with most of the information on all these wonderful apps and how to use them!!! Thanks man! The various cryptocoin consoles have a lot in common. Importprivkey and dumpprivkey are universal as far as I know, and they are very powerful commands that allow you to turn any wallet into any other wallet. What makes your coins yours is nothing other than that you alone have that private key. So be careful. Definitely thanks for the tip! Once you use Importprivkey with your master key it seems to recognize the key and shows the command in green as it was accepted. But I see no change in the wallet. Any trick I'm missing? Ninja edit: I just re-ran it again but getting this : Method not found (code -32601) when using Importprivkey and my masterkey. Could this be related with windows 10? Nevermind just a caps thing, method works. Just don't see any changes after I use the command. what you mean no changes you need help? |

Hi LUX, I was able to import it in the address tab. I can now see it in there thanks!
Is there however a way to select it so you can set the imported account as the default so you can send from it and see the balance?

I think I finally got it to work, I have my balance and I can send!
Seems there are a few bugs with the wallet. For one the address book is empty, but the software tells me the address is already in the address book when I try to add it.
Also on the top right where it shows your account, my balance is correct but the account number is different. I was expecting to see my account number there.
Could this be just issues with windows 10? I am using ver v1.3.2.4
In any case looking forward for more greatness! Definitely one of the few interesting projects!!!

I think I finally got it to work, I have my balance and I can send!

This article made it sound like they got the personal wallets of 11,000 users of this site. its possible that the website had 11k accounts, or more likely that the wallet had 11k separate addresses with balances probably including change addresses. you know how the feds and the media love to over exaggerate |
