Good point you make though. it you have enough coin it's worth it to set up a box with nothing but your wallets on it. No games, no browsers, no social apps. And a clean install of whatever OS you want to use. I'm in the process of doing that now, maybe I will make it a Linux box.

Do it on a RPi and then write up a "getting started" post here for me  Wink

Can someone tell me what was the story of 55k SDC?

Downloaded an infected Wallet from this thread. It was the windows wallet which was reposted that injected my computer with DClogs, csrss.exe, couple trojans....

Coins gone.

Hi,  sorry for your lost.  But I also downloaded wallet, like always, and no trojans or malware on my computer..
I'm sure that we are not the only who downloaded.. but only you get hacked.

If I read well, you don't use any antivirus, that was new computer, and already installed bunch of games on it..

such behavior you are lucky to not have more wallets of other coins.

http://shadowchain.info/address/SSqXPDJzM1ih5PRajoTH9PLQDTWM63vt1J

I see "hacker" keeps them safe.

Ok well my download was from this thread and it was full of trojans with SDC logos and Dclogs in my roaming folder. If you read well, youd also understand those aspects as well. I erased everything to do with SDC and tried the same install and DClogs re appeared.

Antivirus is a fraud and its been known. Yes its a brand new computer.....So either my new computer came with the keylogger and trojans on it or i got it from Steam, Wickr, Spotify, or a link off this thread for the wallet qt. You tell me which one you think contained key loggers with SDC exe files not even 1 mb large.

IT MUST HAVE BEEN STEAM. I heard there is a world of warcraft virus going around stealing shadowcash and viral from peoples wallets. Ill open up a ticket with steam, maybe ill have some luck with them.

FYI ive never used anti virus in all my years of crypto...the only change was that i convereted to faggot ass windows.

Lesson learned, dont click links that other people repost, dont use windows. Please dont lecture me using google translate. ty

No, I already reformatted, but this file is still popping up....The decision is whether or not to return this laptop. No doubt im going linux but is my computer itself completely compromised? From what ive read i have a brutal rootkit -_-

I did the reformat option in the windows 8.1 settings. Complete reformat of everything. Idk if thats enough -_-

You didn't do a real format. If you do a low-level format everything on the HD is gone and you will need a Windows disk to reinstall Windows. The only thing that could survive that or a Linux format/install is a virus that infected the BIOS or the HD firmware. They exist, but this probably isn't that.

Could it be the boot sector of your HD is infected? You would need to re-write your mbr to remove it. Would be unusual though.

What is all this now? I did nothing. Literally, I have been in an MCSA bootcamp for days.

*edit* just crawled through all the trash posts from skip60 and others...

My original post contains the same source as the post from sdcoin and anyone can check that with a fucking f12 push on the keyboard. But maybe there is some magic happening somewhere? Just not on my quote. And I definitely am not capable of doing something malicious especially with code.

Funny you should quote that:
This is happening live: http://www.c-span.org/video/?326084-1/senator-rand-paul-rky-nsa-surveillance&live

Rand Paul talking about NSA backdoors

I don't think any of us believe you're behind it (except perhaps Skip60). I personally don't, for what it worth.
It was not cool accusing you.

The finger pointing is just the most awful low effort. Looking at you skip. Really?  How about this: I'm a 100% sure it was Skip60. Fkn dickhead.

Yes, and the real crook is watching that and getting his rocks off. Don't give him the satisfaction.
