When whales are back after a long time and shilling altcoins, you know what will happen  Grin
...

Error: Monero is not an alt coin.

Theymos would seem to disagree..

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

If the Monero drops further, then it is good time to buy. I think the price around $0.5 is quite attractive.

Wow..

Will support just fall like that? 65k pushing price down for now, heavy volume during the dump, margin calls included.
With btc rising again this could have been expected somehow, still the volume was surprising

Woow. Monero, just like eth and maid got hammered today. Though to be honest, xmr support seems to be the strongest of the the three main coins today. Yet, I'm not sure if xmr dump was the only one today. Others may follow. Will see soon I guess.

It has very strong support in the 130-150 area. You must be stupid to sell below 170k. What for?
Unless you wanna break 170 to buy at the above range.

Maybe that was the plan (hence the 65K wall).

Good luck trying to send it back in the 100k area though...

In short term, it could drop further. One reason is that the bitcoin price is rising. Most altcoin will drop.

I think Monero is the best anonymous coin. So I will hold some. But it will not be big part of my wealth.

Was I right yesterday or what? Monero went to the crapper. It was fake volume and arranged pump all along. It wasn't an organic move up based on real buyers doing real buying.

Monero's not ready for prime time yet. The wallets are not working out of the box. Tested their lite wallet the other day. Didn't work.

The market cap should be somewhere around 4-5mil tops maybe lower.

You're a curious one.

You haven't posted anything since April 2014.... and then suddenly you come out of the blue after almost 2 years and immediately start FUDDing Monero.

My guess is that you're a little bit out of your depth. Perhaps you sold a bit, and now are trying to push the price down.

You claim to wave the flag for Dash, but have never once posted about Dash in any positive capacity whatseover.

I think its a little bit pathetic frankly. Markets move up and down. It's nothing to be scared of.

And the idea that single posts (or a compendium of posts spanning multiple threads) can contribute to market forces is, frankly, somewhat risable.

It's almost as if a kind of troll-blindness materialises that prevents the desperate protagonist from seeing what everyone else can see: strategic fud and trollagonism.

Save your energy. All you're doing is telling people you want the market to go down. You simply don't have the intelligence to phrase it in any other way, or in a way that is in harmony with the actual bullcrap that you write.

Not yet, at least.

Rias - take your pick:

Perfect storm for Monero:

+ MultiSig
+ GUI funded
+ Daily Decrypt
+ Peter Todd
+ Shen #REKT Shadowcash
+ ETH going crazy

So awesome to see 100ks of XMR flying around on Polo.

Need to get on Kraken and BTC-E too.   Cool

Holy volume, Batman!

It's one thing to read the comments about volume, but to look at it on the charts...WHOA.  What the heck has caused THAT spike?  Is it really ETH dumpers?  Whales?  Manipulators?

Good time to HODL.  I'm not one for jumping in front of trains, whichever direction they are heading.

This is also a good point IMHO. If you look at the two week charts on Polo, it's crazy how everything went ballistic. Sea of red today. Very tricky to know what is going on in general. So, HODL!

I am holding.
Is there massive short positions or people just withdrawn the coins from lending markets? 24 hrs ago we had approximately 100 kXMR in lending markets, now the supply is only 20 kXMR.

Hint: Margin trading. Keep your coins, the proper verb is "hodl"  Smiley

i dont get your hint macsga, did you look at the data after all or is this just your conclusion without looking at the exchange?

to me it looks like lending supply is indeed drying out, why this is happening is hard to say.

open positions could be forced to close once they are not able to renew ? or is it possible to change the max lending rate % ?

btw its now at 48k again allready.
