Im interested in getting into xmr, would you advise to wait over the weekend and get in near monday? The price went down a lot but I have a feeling it will recover soon

Buy below 0.011 and you will be fine. I expect a slow recovery, considering the recent good news i would recommend buy/hold. I do not know about which strategy you prefer but i prefer buying during dark times(when bagholders give up and sell), i am not into buying after an initial increase but i can understand the logics behind the latter strategy. xmr is doing fine now, it is slowly recovering to 0.011, a lot of people will dump when the price gets higher and it will hence take some time before the price goes above 0.012 again. If you doubt xmr is recovering(like N-rG) you can of course wait and pay slightly more. The holders that dump when the price is low has mostly sold their xmr now, hence the low volume during the drop. What we see now instead is holders waiting for better price to dump, this is why the difference between high and low is decreasing. |

The price doesn't seam to move much now, it's stock in a deadzone. When it goes to 0.011 holders start to dump, when it falls whales start to buy(i hope, at least).
We do see some large buys sometimes which is nice. But most buyers now place bids and wait for someone to dump, i guess i have to baghold now.

It's not strange. It has happened to Monero many times in the past. It has happened to every coin. And not just for your stated time frame of "now" but for extended periods of time. Maybe you were listening to N-rG several days ago when he was saying that it was then time to buy and hold and now he is once again changing his tune. Sorry but I have no advice that will make you $ "now" or in the short term. May I suggest a cup of tea. Maybe later on today I will buy some to replenish what I have recently donated to 2 different Monero projects. Hmmm... english breakfast  |

turning a 15% profit into -5% really sucks but now xmr looks good again, a whale started buying below 0.0108 and others followed. It's not strange. It has happened to Monero many times in the past. I did 'listen' to N-rG several days ago(bought some for 0.01139 and didn't sell when i could do profit) but i will not listen this time. I have to admit i am just as clueless as everybody else when it comes to monero speculation, i know from experience that when it looks dark it can sometimes be a good idea to buy and hold, but sometimes it is better to cut losses. I didn't listen when N-rG recommended selling. Looks like the price is stuck 1.07 to 0.0109 now, it does not appear to fall more now, maybe this is the final correction for a while, could fall some more maybe but probably not below 0.01 again. I am not N-rG or moneylooser, i just happened to agree with N-rG sometimes. I do believe in XMR as a currency and as a long term investment, it is improving and while the price development can be heartbreaking sometimes at least the currency itself is fine. It's really sad how xmr was pumped to 0.026, i know a friend that bought at 0.01699, i am only 2% below breakeven now which isn't that bad considering how much xmr has fallen. Now someone bought xmr for 55XMR, still the price hasn't fallen near 0.0105, very far from a collapse, the buyers will start buying eventually. Everytime the price drops low whales with hundreds of BTC start buying xmr, if it weren't for this the price would probably had fallen below 0.009 the fifth october. I can of course not know for sure that xmr hasn't finished fallen but you have to take risks sometimes. |

yea you totally busted me/us lol, we are all paid by Kim Jong-un in monero. just admit you baghold xmr and are angry at me for not bagholding from 0.015+, i do think all xmr-bagholders will make profit if they just hold long enough, but why hold from 0.015 when you can hold from 0.011?
