Anyway is Monero really going on that route in marketing?  I hope not.  It's very cheesy.

Without expressing an opinion on her tweet, in no way is this 'Monero marketing', it is one community member doing something, as all are free to do.

I think she is trying to use crypto community to expand her fan base. Dont think she really care much about coins, but try to build her publicity. But how should I know. I have little knowledge how this instagram stars work. All this could also be produced. So not really her ideas but her managers ideas, or whoever. I see her recent tweet is about Decred, and I am sure will be many more in future. In any case she or her manager are super smart starting this and entering so fast growing market.

In general crypto is to be used by people. Anyone. Not to be adored as most people on this forum understand should be.

Hey guys, I know this is speculation thread but I'm here already 2 years and I would really appreciate some advice from u guys, I'm over 3 years full in Monero, but the last 7 days I am starting to think I need some bitcoins to... Would it be wise to buy bitcoins with 10 procent of my xmr stash? Or u guys think it's to late and Bitcoin wil come down when it reached 5000$?

XMR has pretty underperformed for 2017, it is on daily chart oversold in BTC, RSI oversold. Usually this is the point where a pump is near. If XMR pumps in BTC with this high BTC price, we can see 100 or 150 USD pretty fast.
I would hesitate to sell XMR now especially as the emission curve is going down and XMR thrown on the market every day by miners will drop in quantity.

I know, I follow xmr price very closely and I see it's undervalued... But I don't have any BTC and i have a feeling I really need to have some...

I dont think is right now is perfect idea. right before split maybe now not sure.

We'll see. XMR isn't a smart contract platform. It needs traders to keep the wheels spinning.

Almost hit the nail on the head, but not quite.  It needs an economy, and DNMs are the critical bootstrap to a level of liquidity where the storage and transfer capacity corresponds to the needs of big money users (HNWIs, corps, and TLAs).  Right now DNMs are reeling and traffic is negligible.  But in less than 6 months there will be 20x the DNM throughput that we saw in SR1 , which took BTC to USD100, and perhaps 50% of that traffic will be denominated XMR, which will put the unit cost around $1000 by March - before the FOMO is factored in.

These are the last cheap coins, people.

Nice green candles for XMR, but this is BTC related....

BCH suddenly getting to be more profitable to mine than BTC is causing wobbles.

Of course it's a BCH pump by Ver / Chinese forces et al - but with the very fast difficulty adjustment it has (which BTC doesn't) making it viable, miners could leave (Core) BTC to mine BCH.  Then it could be a problem for BTC.

The side benefit for us could be 'Steady Eddie' Monero appearing a safe haven, hence the sudden price move.  If XMR does see DNM use at anything like the levels Aminorex rightly points out are likely...

Perfect storm?

Only thing that's unsatisfying about this pump is that more shorts weren't placed at the bottom. The thought of seeing the naysayers get sent to the poorhouse gives me so much joy.

Ever heard of schadenfreude? Seeing the naysers, trolls, etc. go bankrupt would be incredible. I'm doing everything in my (admittedly limited) power to make it happen. I won't be satisfied until these scum are destitute, on the street begging for scraps.

Ideally, I'd like to see someone intentionally create a short squeeze, so that the shorters could have their entire margin accounts liquidated. One can dream...
