Why did you sell?
Personally I didn't sell - I just was neutral for long and just during the past 7 days I have restarted accumulation. Low price accumulation means lower cost average.
And I am not going to sell until high.
Monero is not high now but too LOW if you consider the long term prospects (long term: 5 years or more).

Who pulled the large buy walls at 140,000? XMR was looking so strong just an hour ago

Still a big improvement over 100,000 from not long ago I guess.

Perhaps after the new DB and official GUI so these low prices will be gone forever. Its hard to understand why people keep dumping after every small rally

Please, the only problem with XMR was that BCX didn't have enough! Cheesy

Not really.  Best news since the FUD storm was MyMonero.com.  The operators could tell you whether it has seen a lot of uptake coincident with the recent ramp.

The serious good news is yet to come. Wink

it's still just a Poloniex coin, with no real treats in software terms, and the secrecy claimed is a falsity. You buy Monero, you leave a trail of transactions involving dollars, bitcoin (or others) just to get it.

The posts have trailed off now, as people have realised it is useless. The shills have moved on, so we're left with a handful of hardcore nutters, desperate to kickstart it.

It seems so desperate.

No doubt, people using bitcoin these days need to be more aware of its transparency. In the US, you have Coinbase monitoring your transactions and cancelling accounts if you spend BTC at a gambling site, buy cannabis seeds, or do whatever is deemed unacceptable by the gov.

If we are a hardcore group of nutters, so be it. These regulations will only be the beginning, and it will create a deluge of demand for a more opaque blockchain resistant to financial spying.

the only desperate nutter is you who missed the boat and left biting nails... also i forgive your idiocy to understand how "useless" it is you think in your empty skull...

Is this true? If it is, are they just monitoring transactions out of Coinbase (Coinbase->dice) or further (Coinbase->wallet->dice)?

I have not experienced this myself, but I have seen some threads on r/bitcoin where someone claims to send Coinbase->someone else->someone known to sell cannabis seeds. && they got banned

I can confirm with 100% certainly they monitor what you are doing and ask questions not just transactions out but also transactions in.

I don't know specifically what blockchain analysis they are doing, how far down the chain it goes, etc.

There are reports (which I can't confirm) of false positives on allegedly suspicious BTC activity which suggest they are looking more than one hop.

I can confirm I haven't heard shit from them as I go directly from btc to solid reliable alts.  They don't know shit after that.  They're fast too.  I'll keep using them.
