I have 10 antminer S9’s (They hit like 150Th/s). Should I mine at a solo pool or regular pools?
Only you can answer that. Do you want a small steady income that may or may not even pay off how much you spent on your antminers and electricity or do you want to throw everything into a gamble that you earn far far more by solving a block or nothing at all if you don't.

Hmmm... maybe I should first get my money back from what I spent on these miners, then start to “gamble” on solo pools? What would you do?

The solo pool is my pool, so what do you think I'd like you to do? Then again if you don't want to mine solo I'd also tell you to mine at my other pool, cpool.org .

No, they are not the same (or even related).
CKPool is a pool software and for a time Kano worked on the user end and CK worked on the pool core code

* Kano.is is Kano's use of the software and is a public pool with a group payout.
* ckpool.org is CK's use of a newer version of the software and is a public pool with a group payout.
* solo.ckpool.org is CK's use of a newer version of the software and is a public pool with a single payout to the block finder.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

I'm still confused, then if I want to mine with Kano's pool would it be Kano.is or ckpool.org? 😕

You'd mine at Kano's pool at Kano.is

Some quick stats.

Been mining with an S1 for a few months now, the highest difficulty hash I got was 700 million, some time passed and the next one was 400. It's going to take me a few thousand years to find a block, but since there's luck involved, I might keep my hopes up for a few more months.

It's all about the luck. Im going to start solo mining myself with my little u1 :-)  Better than playing the lottery.
lets see how that pans out. You never know :-)

Btw, has anyone here found a block on this solo pool? If so, which asic were you using?

check the pool adress where you are mining

you are not mining solo pool at solo.ckpool.org,  but on ckpool which have mining adress pool.ckpool.org.
you are mining here: http://ckpool.org/users/17AeTrvgt1JfjEzMv4kR72LPfm9eNrbqMe

If you want to mine solo you have to change pool to solo at solo.ckpool.org

Hi everyone.

So, I am slowly back into the mining game, mostly for the fun with 2 Antminer S9's

However, I am pointing some old hardware for some solo mining Lottery Style.

8 delayedarrow Prospero X1's at solomining.
so... about 800Ghash worth.

What do you guys think my odds are of getting a block within the year ?
1 on 1000 ?
