ah ha ok, thanks. Time to disable my uptime monitor and put in a rate limiter.

Created a simple cron job to monitor it and the miners and end up being the fastest to report apparently when there is any downtime.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It seems to be coming back now, and the pool was running unabated consistent with a network outage.

EDIT: Weird, I only just noticed the post merit system has gone live.

Hi All,

From practical point of view, What is the minimum hash rate do I need to be able to join the pool?

Thank you

You're only competing with yourself. I recommend 25PH if you want to find regular blocks.

25 PH? only in my dreams. What is the average hash rate per user (= total pool hash rate / number of user)? to get an idea
thanks

That's for normal pools. This is the solo pool where you get all or nothing.

Can you a little better explanation. So that means if connect s9 antminers on the solo pool I will not get daily money but will have a chance to solo got 12 BTC if find chain block. Are there is no way to get both?

I am trying to connect a few miners to the pool with this proxy,   I can get one miner to connect but the others never seems to connect.

I can get one miner to connect but when I point additional miners at the proxy ip they show no connection in cgminer or on the proxy.
I have attempted to put different btc address for each miner but still not connecting.

It show 5 peers connected, but other miners in cgminer do not show connection.

Is there something missing from my options on proxy?

I Start with mining_proxy.exe -o de.ckpool.org -p 3333

Edit:

After some test i got 2 miners to connect but still others do not connect i check with tcp view and process explorer but other miners would not show.

I added the argument mining_proxy.exe -o de.ckpool.org -p 3333 -sh localhost -sp 3333

In logs it seems to show peers and  status change but no work submitted from cgminer to proxy.

Code:
-o HOST, --host HOST  Hostname of Stratum mining pool
-p PORT, --port PORT  Port of Stratum mining pool
-sh STRATUM_HOST, --stratum-host STRATUM_HOST
On which network interface listen for stratum miners.
Use "localhost" for listening on internal IP only.
  -sp STRATUM_PORT, --stratum-port STRATUM_PORT
Port on which port listen for stratum miners.

Code:
INFO stats stats.print_stats # 3 peers connected, state changed 1 times
INFO stats stats.print_stats # 4 peers connected, state changed 1 times
INFO stats stats.print_stats # 5 peers connected, state changed 1 times

Is there solution for this?

another question can I point the miners at the same BTC address without worker names? Is there limit to this?

When I do this all the workers are on different Diff's when use proxy to consolidate miners they work together on work?

I'm not sure how updated Slush's proxy is, but the CKPool proxy works great.

Do I have to build that from the source?
I am unsure how to do this.

Yep - they have directions on how to do it. However, if you're not running a Linux variant already, it might be tough.

Why are you using a proxy vs. connecting your miners with different workers?

I would like to view the additional information that proxy allows and with proxy allows me to consolidate to single connection,

Another alternative is to use BFGMiner as a proxy.

All miners show up as a trojan to most AV systems. Its a false alarm as long you download from legit links, like the one in the thread.

I only require proxy I think BFG has things in it I do not need.

CK it would be good if you would host a "pre-built" proxy that requires not to be compiled it would help a lot.
