It's a pity they waste such a historic site with sub-par support.
There's really not much missing.

Major issues and wish list:
  • Refill the hot wallet more frequently
  • 2-factor authentication. I suggest RFC 6238 one-time passwords. That will work with many different authenticator apps.
  • Fix the leader board prizes

Minor wishes:
  • Rewrite the Flash-based slot game in JavaScript. Less and less users have Flash installed.
  • Optimize images to save bandwidth. The PNG images on the front page are 215978 bytes. They can be optimized losslessly to 85095 bytes.

... and the site would be almost perfect, in my opinion.

I agree with you on the wish list. Wonder what happened to the support - until recently they would respond on here at least within 24-48hrs. I wonder if Randian Hero is on holiday or something and its a one man band.

IF you guys only read this thread before depositing your bitcoins to this site you would of known about all these issues beforehand. ITs been basically months and there are no improvements. The devs simply just don't care anymore.

Well, they've been working on 2fa implementation for over two months i think. they don't really care anymore, so why bother gambling at satoshidice?

Its a shame really, SD has a good history, no major attacks and a lot of potential - but the lack of support and slow implementation new features may kill it as it falls behind other sites.

The 2FA is something that should of been up and running from the start. For many whales 2FA is very important and many of the basic gambling sites these days at least support it.

Hello Satoshidice-affiliated players.

I have a question regrading the daily leaderboard.  I emailed support but have not received a response from them but had a question about the leaderboard payouts.  It does not seem that the leaderboard link is updated (17 Oct was the last updated list).  Further, I was the leader for 19 Nov for unluckiest win (.10 btc) and unluckiest win streak (0.05 btc).  I had been checking the leaderboard until the GMT time hit 0:00 to make sure that I was still atop the list, which I was but had not received the payout.  Does anyone know if there is a delay in the payouts or even if it is still going on?  Thanks.

Perhaps competition in gambling sites is increasingly widespread, and sometimes quite confusing to select to play and seek comfort in gambling sites that actually pay ..

Leaderboard is broken, many have complained about it yet it's still not fixed. i wouldn't be surprised if it took them months to fix it.

I see.  So I assume that because the leaderboard is broken, I shouldn't expect a payout for being top?

There wasn't a post on here from the admins for a couple of weeks now, people are also complaining about lack of support. So don't get your hopes up.

Not good signs. Hope everything is okay - there are a lot of BTC in the house edge. Would be great if the SD owners gave an update before people start getting worried...

Both cold storages seem intact. One of them had a movement of -40 BTC just yesterday, but obviously that did not go to the hot wallet.

What are the wallet addresses that you are looking at? Basically its very risky depositing any amount of money into this site until they fix these issues.

Those listed in the Bet on the house tab: 1DmqFgYfKMT1F8B3tGhVMFf82vdgdSsjNV and 18e5jpfn9zo9GQov1Ks9Pzh6Yam2SvFqqo.

My guess for a best case scenario is that they are burned out from fighting the recent DDoS attacks and said "fuck it", and took an unannounced vacation.

It would be a shame to just throw away a great brand like this.

About a week ago my deposit was stolen from my address within minutes of confirmation. I contacted support and also left a message here but I have not had any reply. It is possible that it was my side that was compromised I suppose, but I don't think it was. In any case it would be nice to get some kind of response, I guess that is looking increasingly unlikely.

I would strongly advise against depositing if anybody is reading this, at least for now.

I am sorry to hear that but I was able to move BTCs from and to my address without problems (except of course the limitations due to the empty hot wallet) so I believe it was your side which was compromised. Anyway, since there is no sign of the owners here of via mail, nor has the hot wallet been refilled in weeks, nor the leaderboards, broken for one month, have been repaired, I agree with your advice.

I myself will wait for signs of life for some more time before starting the usual fraud procedure.

I took out all of my BTC from the site a couple of months ago as I was not satisfied with the lack of 2FA on the site and the constant issues with user sessions and stability that were being uncovered. I said I'd re-deposit once the site was stable again after monitoring for a month and security was to my satisfaction. Right now, I'm glad that I have no stake in the site. (I'd never had any concern about the legitimacy of SD however - lets hope they are just on holiday)

Funny thing is, now those problems seem solved. What could possibly stop the owners to just drop a line here to maintain the site's high reputation is beyond my comprehension.
