It's Day 4 and cashout from satoshidice is still not confirmed:

https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/tx/66c1c1fcb51249220c98aa35f4e7bdfe59e18c9b80333c7f1cc11ce4ce712c63

And no response from them. It dosn't look very professional, especially if they are charging you an extra 0.0001 BTC for a withdrawal fees but they are paying a very low fee. Please fix it, otherwise many players will go to other sites. How long should I wait? a Week? a Month? Cash by post is much faster Sad

Good to hear - I wonder how long it will stay full for =)
Does anybody know the address of the hot wallet? I want to keep an eye on it.

It generates new addresses all the time so I guess it is pretty impossible to track it, unless you follow each single transaction and its change.

Ah nice. It also has a "Satoshi Dice" wallet but that does not seem consistent with the transactions I've done. Maybe it is possible to "rebuild" SD's hot wallet though.

Finally!!! You won a bet of 0.01 BTC (RedGulpe)... send me your wallet I will pay you.
And any idea why daily prices on satoshidice are no more working from Oct 18? https://www.satoshidice.com/leader-boards/
That looks like they are running out of money, any ideas if satoshidice is a safe place for high stakes?

No need to send me money, I just wanted to make a point and have some fun in the process.

I have no idea why the leaderboards stopped working, nor why Randian Hero disappeared, nor why the hot wallet has been empty for weeks. As I mentioned before, all this looks pretty strange to me, as the cold wallets are still full and their behaviour can only harm Satoshi Dice's brand: your guess is as good as mine. Still, I reluctantly divested all my money from SD for the time being.

No place is safe for large amounts of money. Not Satoshi Dice, not your bank, not your mom's mattress, though some of said places may be safer than others.

Not sure but maybe they lost a lot during the recent DDoS attack.
SatoshiDice is hosted with an expensive Swiss ISP.
Fending off even just 1 Gbit/s costs 400 USD / month ... O.o
Many DDoS attacks are magnitudes larger than that. The record is at over 1 Tbit/s.
https://solarcom.ch/en/ddos_protection

Why they choose this expensive host, I don't know. Maybe legal reasons because CH is not part of the EU.

To clarify - that Swiss hosting company is their usual hosting provider, they were using it even before DDOS attack took place?
If that is the case then it is rather money wasting effort on their part. There are a lot of other hosting options outside of EU, most of them is more affordable too.

Hot wallet empty again, I am trying to cashout and it shows me insufficient hot wallet balance. The maximum available for withdrawal right now is 0.00920933 BTC ... What is going on here? Something like this should not happen if you want to keep your players

How do you know for certain it's satoshidice's hot wallet address, doesn't it keeps on changing?

Yeah, it's ridiculous to make customers wait for their withdrawals. least they can do is inform what's been going on.

According to Dicesites, it looks like many people are withdrawing their investments: see the "Daily invested" and "Total invested" charts (no to mention the unrelated but still alarming "Daily wagered"). This does not bode well at all considering that the cold wallet only holds 2020 BTC at the moment.

Yeah I am not surprised many investors are trying to get out. The support has been non-existance for these guys. Once everybody withdraws their BTC, how will the gamblers get their BTC back? Doesn't look good.

Was thinking on similar lines when I saw the size of the cold wallets and the BTC available to gamble on the bankroll and a ~1000BTC disparity. Glad I withdrew my cash a few months ago - but also feeling disappointed as I really like SD - would be great if it could work...

I think that the only reason the hot wallet seems to be always empty is because people is withdrawing (actively) because few signature branded folks are spreading FUD since a while (actively) hence cold wallet being massively drained.
Just my opinion on the subject, I know perfectly their team is there.
