onwer (?) of this site PMed me few times to make him promo but neve got back to me

i feel theres something strange going on here.. im not depositing for now at all

Lately most devs are very hard to reach these days by PM. Either way the site basically has way too many issues, it doesn't load properly for me. It forwards it to a secret key and its completely stuck there. Plus there are other issues that need to be worked out first

I tried again accessing the site and I am getting the exact same issues. And I have no idea if they are working to get it fixed. Its also not my internet connection or computer, most likely best to avoid until they get all this fixed.

I want to ask, was it so hard to code bot for SatoshiDice? You encountered technical difficulties or something?

I am asking because considering that SatoshiDice is the oldest still working Dice but you included even less popular and newer site before it.

It is nice to have a serious bot for SD at last, thank you.

Yeah its the oldest but it doesn't necessarily means its the best. I remember watching a Bitcoin documentary and it actually mentioned this website. It got sold for like $10 million dollars or so. And ever since then its been slowly going downhill.

I suspect that its a bit of a cash cow for the new owner, if I could spend some time on it I could probably work out the estimated revenue of the owner if they still publish the stats on the page - but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot of technical debt built into the original site - as its taken them a while to add features like 2FA, and there have been many problems with session handling in the past. The stability issues seem to be much better than they once were. More often than not, the more popular sites are quite shoddily built as they have to innovate very quickly to keep ahead of the curve.

It took long because of a bunch of reasons. When I initially wrote dicebot, satoshidice was still only an on-chain game and I wanted nothing to do with interacting with bitcoin or making btc transactions. I actually thought the site died after a while because of how little traffic it was getting. Once I found out they've revamped, I posted in this thread asking if they are interested in being added to dicebot, but they never got back to me Sad. And then I stopped trying. But they got in touch with me last week and now everything is grand Smiley

Well he paid mostly for the name, because these days there are far more advanced dice sites out there. However this one is an old classic but with the problems going on lately, many gamblers will move their BTC elsewhere.

You are right about this sometimes the age does not matter because there can change a lot since such times...

Moreover, if I am not wrong, they dont operate the way they used to at the beginning. Initially, they were a complete blockchain based game.

I am pretty sure he is referring to an old article or screenshot or something. Back when BTC was like $100-200 or so.
