I would like to see that 5.5 Ph\s miner hit something. Right now they are making a tidy bit from the pool but we don't yet know if they are really contributing.
Is there anything suspicious about that miner that you could think of? They have been here a couple of days and not hit anything. As far as I know they got here Saturday. The luck sure has slowed down since Saturday's block spree. Just curious if anyone knows if they have been here before. ?? 5 Peta could take 2-3 weeks before hitting a block. (You know bad luck) Please stop pointing miners because they don't hit a block.

I was helping some my friends get the miners tuned in the pool, and I just noticed "Kano" and "ckolivas" in the pool stats.
Since joining the pool last Dec, it never cross my mind to check.
Kano with 3.97THs and ck with 3.38THs .... I wonder what miner HW are they using? Avalons? Test miners?
Me: Avalon A6 since last Dec - it was 2 until I blew a board on one of them a couple of weeks ago and haven't got around to running it as a half A6 yet -- I've created a dk.kano.is node, in EU, like the de.kano.is node. Consider it a test replacement for de.kano.is but I'll run both for probably at least a couple of weeks to see how they compare in reliability. It is, however, another ~20ms further away from the main pool node in Vegas If you wish to try it, just replace 'de.kano.is' with 'dk.kano.is' Since they are both relatively close, you could make one the primary and the 2nd one your first backup. Anyway, the point is of course to replace the de node, since linode isn't reliable enough, and we'll see how dk compares to de.

That top miner seems to be hardware, not rental. I very much doubt anyone would point that much hardware at the pool and not want to be finding blocks.

Thanks. Good to know. I was just curious and not casting blame. We can't see those things from this end.

This is good news, at least for miners in the Nordic countries ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm from Finland and here is a short latency comparison: de.kano.is - 50ms dk.kano.is - 39ms

I got my S7 power supply delivered on friday and I'm now waiting for the S7. It ha been delayed because DHL had no clue what a "bitcoin miner" is. (as if they couldn't Google it...) It took a few email exchange (and a tax payment) to get it cleared out of customs.
Expecting it tomorrow now... 3 days lost...

I get 25ms on the DK node, impressing :-) (From Iceland) 230TH redirected to DK node.

It doesn't make a bit of difference but the DE node has been somewhat unreliable. Kano has created the DK node without going with Linode to help improve the reliability.

I understand luck it´s luck, but this month we got like 5 days with only 1 block and few days with 2 or 3 blocks. Hope this change soon becuase we need more blocks... bad luck its killing us. What does those 20ms longer away from main server means in practice ? sooner or later it will cause an orphan. But I would need to know a lot of info to figure out how long it would take to cause the orphan. think of it this way we have done about 7 back to back blocks of the close to 900 we did. none of those back to back blocks were in an orphan race. what I mean is the second block did not save us from an orphan. So remember how f2pool beat out our last orphan in a race? We need to get in an orphan race again and lose by .19ms on the next block. sooner of later that would happen. maybe 10000 blocks from now.
