I get error while configure:

although libmpfr is installed:

Mpfr configure error is sometimes based on a incompatible gmp library version.
you could try to compile and install the newest versions from their websites:

Yeah, I finally tried that after trying to set it up in my conf file.  Looks like we'll have to manually set this every time?  Can the client be configured to start mining upon launch?
