Hi there, we had a little discussion about changing the block reward halving, but it didn't lead to a conclusion. So, let's start a voting about it. Every option is represented by Gapcoin address. Every 0.00000001 GAP (1 Satoshi) counts as one vote. The Gapcoin address with the most GAP will win the voting. Then we will make a hard fork (or not) according to the chosen option. The options are: halving the block reward - every 2 years (no hard fork) GSJw8qfMBTrX1p9rRexuek4zXjb8ay3Nev
- every year GZHgCFHCwQYZhSqmGAJ7rKLYyo8fBEkgdj
- every half year GRNwEjBXhr3ccYV78LKRuzjt9howGVwx9c
- every three months GLjNmmTZiSxTyFHXAFBjXefmFNWUhTfXjk
Or reducing the block reward every block to effectively halve: - every 2 years GU4oUgmeAC7T9DkgmrD1TjqcgHsdgXAhVU
- every year GHxr8JUNtaenHvrgqmt9oXTtZA8dA8DnBH
- every half year GRPwr2TiDNNBBUWa36os4Srppy4QdXxa9i
- every three months GKKcAv7UyJNLWsSPEwLRuYLBJjkRKvdp5k
The voting will end in one week (18.11.2014 10:00 PM UTC) After the end of the voting, the funds of these addresses will be added to the bounty for the first merit which breaks the world record. Don't reduce neither halve, don't increase neither double. Leave it as it is. The things will self-regulate themselves. Waiting for debugged gpu-miner. Maybe add a vote option for no change as well. Yeah! Simply don't touch it!

Yeah! Simply don't touch it! This would be the first option: every 2 years (no hard fork) GSJw8qfMBTrX1p9rRexuek4zXjb8ay3Nev

The one I'm testing on is: Mint 17 (64), catalyst 14.4, SDK 2.9, CPU Athlon, GPU Radeon 6850. GPU load about 70-80% and pps 0 (I'm not using CPU).

I like to announce a modified version of the CPU-Miner. It's on average about 1000% faster. Yes, no typo, +1000%. The trick is to only search for gaps that meet the criteria (pool = is a share, solo = is a block) and quickly discard others. 10g/h and 15g/h are not calculated anymore. The source is available here: https://bchain.info/gapminer_dcct_mod.zipCheck and compile yourself (just "make" will do the trick). I hope to see new large gaps and expect some donations (could have just used it myself!): GeXwYgVQKZWnctitxuJrvNMMZXWv3nd5RM When using the pool make sure to point it at the port for GPU-mining (=higher target, less load on the pool).

I'm not familiar with compiling for windows, but I'm sure someone else can do it. well, hopefully NOT! It's a best moment to leave windows and switch to any other system. Don't be a slave of Microsoft - compile what you need, when you want, at two (or one) keyboard commands!
