The pool shows I have hashrate zero. Something is set wrong? Yes, something is wrong. Your PPS is 0 - this is your 'hashrate'. Thank you. What could be wrong? I'm mining it with CPU and it's all right..

Hi there, nonce-pool confirmed me, that they can verify any block found against a pool user. So, i will set a few new bounties:- 100 GAP for the first merit within the top 20
- 150 GAP for the first merit within the top 10
- 250 GAP for the first merit within the top 5
- 500 GAP for the first merit, which breaks the world record
I also think there should be a bounty for a second pool, so I'll add 100 GAP for that.

Maybe too much work at once for the gpu. You could try to change some of these parameters, I would start to try -w 256 -s form 100,000 to 100,000,000 default 15,000,000 -w from 32 to 32000 default 2048 -a from 1,000,000 to 100,000,000 default 30,000,000 -z from 2 to 30 default 10

Well, then let's talk about the reward halving: It wouldn't be much work to change it, it's just that everyone would have to switch to the new client / wallet before the first halving takes place. So, what do you think about halving the reward - every year
- every half year
- every three months
How about monthly 5-10% reduction ? Sudden halving is not good for any coin in my opinion. An other option would be to reduce the the reward every block, so that it effectively halves every half year. What do you think about that?

What do you think about that?
I'd vote for keeping it the same; no change. The difficulty/reward curve is already negative, any devaluation will be short term at best and kill the coin at worst (i.e. removing any economic incentive to mine). Regards, -- bsunau7

Regards, -- bsunau7 Maybe just have a gradual reduction per block to match the 2 year halving. This solves the abrupt halving issue, prevents market shock, and keeps true to original spec. To increase demand, can try to get people interested in the science to purchase, supporting mining. 2

I having the exact same 0pps problem. I have tried changing -w and if I set it to anything <2048 the miner crashes

setting -w < default causes miner crash, setting it > default causes several pps: -2147483648 / -2147483648 10g/h -2147483648 / -2147483648 15g/h -2147483648 / -2147483648 at the beginning and zeroes later. I've tried some combinations of -s, -a, -z on the max, min or halfway values, but changing them changes nothing. Setting -w at very high values (like 50,000) causes things like this: [2014-11-11 20:07:07] Sieve primes changed <= 1200000 [2014-11-11 20:07:16] pps: 0 / 0 10g/h 0 / 0 15g/h 0 / 0 [2014-11-11 20:07:26] pps: 0 / 0 10g/h 0 / 0 15g/h 0 / 0 [2014-11-11 20:07:30] Sieve primes changed <= 900000 [2014-11-11 20:07:36] pps: 0 / 0 10g/h 0 / 0 15g/h 0 / 0 [2014-11-11 20:07:44] Got new target: 13.0000000 @ 22.4673190 [2014-11-11 20:07:46] pps: 0 / 0 10g/h 0 / 0 15g/h 0 / 0 [2014-11-11 20:07:56] pps: 0 / 0 10g/h 0 / 0 15g/h 0 / 0 [2014-11-11 20:08:06] pps: 0 / 0 10g/h 0 / 0 15g/h 0 / 0 [2014-11-11 20:08:06] Sieve primes changed <= 600000etc until it reaches 1000

Hi there, we had a little discussion about changing the block reward halving, but it didn't lead to a conclusion. So, let's start a voting about it. Every option is represented by Gapcoin address. Every 0.00000001 GAP (1 Satoshi) counts as one vote. The Gapcoin address with the most GAP will win the voting. Then we will make a hard fork (or not) according to the chosen option. The options are: halving the block reward - every 2 years (no changes, no hard fork) GSJw8qfMBTrX1p9rRexuek4zXjb8ay3Nev
- every year GZHgCFHCwQYZhSqmGAJ7rKLYyo8fBEkgdj
- every half year GRNwEjBXhr3ccYV78LKRuzjt9howGVwx9c
- every three months GLjNmmTZiSxTyFHXAFBjXefmFNWUhTfXjk
Or reducing the block reward every block to effectively halve: - every 2 years GU4oUgmeAC7T9DkgmrD1TjqcgHsdgXAhVU
- every year GHxr8JUNtaenHvrgqmt9oXTtZA8dA8DnBH
- every half year GRPwr2TiDNNBBUWa36os4Srppy4QdXxa9i
- every three months GKKcAv7UyJNLWsSPEwLRuYLBJjkRKvdp5k
The voting will end in one week (18.11.2014 10:00 PM UTC) After the end of the voting, the funds of these addresses will be added to the bounty for the first merit which breaks the world record.
