Lots of buying going on right now...

Not a lot of posting. Coincidence?
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

DUMP has started, Hah i said so!!!! Shocked

How Ripple Rips you: "The founders of Ripple Labs created 100 billion XRP at Ripple's inception. No more can be created according to the rules of the Ripple protocol. Of the 100 billion created, 20 billion XRP were retained by the creators, seeders, venture capital companies and other founders. The remaining 80 billion were given to Ripple Labs. Ripple Labs intends to distribute and sell 55 of that 80 billion XRP to users and strategic partners. Ripple Labs also had a giveaway of under 200 million XRP (0.002% of all XRP) via World Community Grid that was later discontinued.[29] Ripple Labs will retain the remaining 25 billion"

Bulls who want price increased based on speculation and not adoption will be the death of BTC if they don't stop it.

Speculators will not kill Bitcoin.
Speculators may be responsible for more price volatility but Bitcoin will succeed or fail based on its own value.

Like yourself, I am long and bullish and dislike the volatility. Nevertheless, I believe everyone should act in their own self interest and not for the greater good. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

good morning North Americans

edit/ they seem to be aaaak again just now

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

I'm probably what you'd call a speculator but I have held throughout - early adopters with a lot of coin are more likely to dump IMO.

I do have to wonder if when they get a humungous sell order they don't push the Aaaak! button until enough bids fill in to absorb it

I'm now sure they are, it happened 4 times in last 36 hours.

I guess they are under pressure by some heavy investors.

They're up but looks their API doesn't work at all.
