Btfinex. 2.5:1 leverage.

..only good if I had a substantial amount of cash, and could get it there in time?
Or am I totally off here..

edit:
So I would:
- send bitcoins to bitfinex
- lend USD there
- create a long position on bitcoin
- hope I got it right and have more bitcoins in one month
- pay pack my lenders with some interest

amidoingitright?

What options would I, theoretically, have?
- take a loan and buy as many bitcoins as I can get
- make a huge bet with some bear

I'd never go into debt to trade. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

mtgox down from 5 minutes?

http timeout plus
PING mtgox.com (72.52.5.67): 56 data bytes
Request timeout for icmp_seq 0
Request timeout for icmp_seq 1

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

Are BTC withdrawals working for any of you? I have withdrawn some of my coins a few hours ago and still nothing (I paid the fee for faster processing).

Mt.Gox is what's slowing the transaction. It took about 2.5 hours earlier this morning for my transaction to make it into the chain. Unfortunately your fee has no impact on Mt.Gox's side.

Seems it does not prefer up or down of price for going off line. It just do it all the time.

complete joke...

This is another unfunny joke....

Really complicated.......

2013/04/12 10:21:24    In       4.00000000 BTC    13.00600000 BTC
BTC bought:  4.00000000 BTC at £50.65750
2013/04/12 10:21:10    In       4.00000000 BTC    9.00600000 BTC
BTC bought:  4.00000000 BTC at £50.65750

Before it all went breasts up, i had £450 odd to play with as funds, with the intention of selling another 5btc, and to withdraw all accumulated GBP. Those above orders were not placed by me! They are decent entries, and i would be relatively  happy with it, if i intended to trade at this time, but i wasnt, and i did not place those orders, especially as they are for the same price and for the same btc!??

So all of a sudden i saw 13btc in my funds, and £0. I jumped on it and withdrew to my personal wallet (which didnt show for hours), with the intention of trying to work it out later. I am not making the following up, nor on Silk Road meds...as i clicked Gox account tab, £5325 suddenly appeared as available GBP funds! Yes i tried to withdraw it.......alas site went down, and when returned £0 balance now showing  Sad

Conclusion?.... I initially sent 10btc to Gox, sold 5 at good prices, above happened, and now have 13btc (+30%) returned to my wallet, when that was not my intention. Very weird morning.

As for Gox, i regard them as dangerously flawed, at best, and i will not be putting btc back in, unless they answer to the above.

11 confirms and btc still not show up at gox.
if anyone plans to play around at gox be prepared to not get your magic btc into your account quickly.
so one of the main reasons to use btc, for fast transfer, aint working right with duh gox.
