Your post here will most likely useless, given the admins of xapo are rarely checking this thread anymore, but you're welcome to share so we can understand what happened and maybe someone had the same problem as you and have a solution

I've never used an xapo wallet to keep my bitcoin, now I'm looking for a web wallet for a low fees but with good security and safety. Whether xapo can be the exact option for the recommended web wallet?

I use it and it's OK. If you don't use faucets, you won't have problem with the fees (they charge fees if you transfer outside of Xapo, but if you transfer between two Xapo wallets, it's free (or ift was free last time I have tried)) You can apply for a debit card too, linked directly to your web wallet and you can spend your coins directy with that VISA card. It's pretty straightforward, I like it. Just be sure you don't need support, because it really takes time until they manage to reply to your question, they need to manage that part somehow better, but despite that they're a good wallet provider.

Xapo is good but they are now not for free if you know their adjustment for the fees and you are an old time user of it, for sure you will be disappointed. But since you are a starter it's possible that you will love to use xapo, it's safe and recommended by many people but be careful with incoming transactions, don't try to receive smaller amount, lower than 0.0005 for your safety.

Thank you for your input guys , the first time xapo was launched I was able to open an account there, but after how many days later I want to login then I forget the password and after that incident I never use it again. After hearing a pretty good suggestion from you guys I think now I will use xapo to keep my bitcoin in web wallet. thanks once again Smiley

 i was using xapo since last 3/4 months smoothly without any worry, but before 72 hours ago i got xapo email as below :

                                                          "  Dear Xapo User "

" Upon additional review of your account application, we were unable to verify the information you provided.

Consequently, we are unable to provide services to you and we will be required to close your Xapo account. To initiate the account closure process, please contact us with the subject “Account Closure” and please include an external bitcoin address in which we can send your funds. Please keep in mind that the minimum amount to send outside of Xapo is 55 bits (BTC 0.000055).

    within no time i start xapo account closure procedure by providing them my blockchain wallet externel adress as per their instructions,
to get my funds back But... More than 50 Hours passed.. still they didnt refund me & no reply from xapo support until now.. im worried about my BTC... it was my total savings as i am not Rich person like xapo support Manager :-(  please help me !!  Cry

Your welcome, I want to clarify it is not for free now. Well if you totally want to use xapo again and you forgot your password, just try their forgot password feature or if that isn't working you can register there again for free. Good luck on keeping your bitcoins at xapo it's one of the trusted but still you won't be holding the private keys of your btc's, it's a web wallet.

I sent my id and documents for verification 7 days ago (23/05) and still no answer. I e-mailed Xapo 2 times and they didn't even reply or anything. Has this happened with you before, guys? What did you do?

Looks many has problem with their support.I lost my access to my account and was thinking of contacting support.Now,with so many support issues here,what I feel is it might take very long to get things fixed.

I have my wallet with you, and I had an issue with Neteller because of my bank requiring confirmation to use my credit card with the service. Then you at your own discretion blocked my account arguing that it was fraudulent. Now I have my issue with Neteller resolved and my account with Neteller is in good standing and you won't unblock my account at Xapo, nor answer my emails. I want my account unblocked and my money in my wallet back.

If you have a mobile app, they'll change the sms verification with 2fa that's "built-in" with the app. So maybe you want to try that alternative?

now they changed on the login that i cant request a sms pin becourse iam not using ssmartshone !!
but no reaction on my support mails.....but i think many people hat same problem and now they have added the sms option .
so for me now everythink is ok but bad that no answer to my mails comes .....

You can still used the SMS. There is an instructions there.

So you are now on the page of requesting code via APP, just wait for less than 1 minute and then there will be an option now to received code via SMS. The waiting time is 30 seconds but sometimes it tooks over a minute before the SMS option will available. Just refresh the page for let's say 3 minutes if there is still no option. Always works for me.

This sms code thing looks a nightmare for many,including me.I find their requirement of 'selfie with id' just to change phone number very disgusting.Instead an extra option to use 'email code' would be fine,I think.

Does anybody know how to disable verification via Xapo app? I can't find. Earlier I always received 6 digit code via SMS message, but now every time when I want to login, they require to use Xapo app.

There's an option to use sms code instead of xapo 2fa after several seconds of waiting, keep your page idle for like 30 seconds. The option to request verification code through sms will appear next to the "where do I find the code". I've tried that just now to check if it's work, and it is.

The thing that makes me happy and still use xapo service is the security feature, every loigin with different device xapo always ask for SMS verification, I hope xapo fees rate can be lowered.
