1021  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of Russian African Alliance on World Economy on: August 21, 2023, 05:42:15 PM
Since the Ruble's pretty much closed off to the world economy, I don't think this particular alliance's going to cause some effect towards the world economy. Although the war mobilization and further attacks on NATO nations as well as Ukraine that this alliance could promote could produce some massive detriments to the economy as we steer towards a world war. Regardless, this only means that we should always be wary, and the US should prepare itself for war, cause the only thing we're getting out of this is if either country/alliance stops with their advance, or if they commit to the cause and issue a declaration of war which is more likely to happen than the former. Regardless, let's just hope for the best and assume that these countries are just doing these alliances for the sake of protection.
1022  Economy / Economics / Re: How to developed your capital on: August 20, 2023, 09:33:07 PM
If you’re living in an Asian household/with a family that doesn’t mind you crashing in for a while so you can come up with the money for your business, do so. You’ll be surprised at how much you’ll be able to save especially with rent. If it comes to the point where you’re avle to start your business, it’s easier to hire relatives/family members too and they would appreciate the gesture as well as it means you’re trusting them.

It’s all about transparency and paying it back when you’re able to get your big break. So if your family doesnmt mind accommodating you as a youth while you setup your business and all that, might as well my friend.

Good point. Make the most of what you have, the connections and resources you already have allow you to have more. However, just a little side note, trust is very important in this aspect, as well as ensuring that you are not being taken advantage of and vice versa. As crazy as it sounds, you cannot fully trust anyone when it comes to business and money, even family. After all, money is the root of all evil. Hence, it is best to still keep some things only to yourself while expressing gratitude to those who helped you.
Both you guys make equally valid points. As a thriving businessman myself (I recently just opened a venture of my own which I'm really proud about), it is way easier to hire close friends, and family members since you don't need to screen them with interviews anymore, and you're able to place them in positions that you know they are capable of since you've known these people for a good while. And while the trust with money is true, I say that it's way easier to handle when you're the boss who pays these people. Long as you guys come up with a passable payment and have it signed through a contract, you guys should be good.

Utilizing your available resources is a perfect way to ensure that not only are you going to have the capabilities to come up with the capital, it's also going to ensure that your business stays afloat through thick and thin.
1023  Economy / Economics / Re: Any business where today you launch, tomorrow you begin making profit...? on: August 20, 2023, 09:15:06 PM
Been following you for quite some time and I see a pattern here.

You're looking for ventures with the easiest cash out options. That's simply impossible given the circumstances of how you'd set up a business, and unless you're dealing with drugs (which you shouldn't, for legal reasons this is a joke) in a neighborhood where you have no competition there's no way you can break even and take profit in a short span of time. It's not how businesses work. Perhaps you might wanna look into finding another source of income like a 9-5 to fund whatever it is you're in need of money with? Just so you don't stress yourself with getting quick cash? I don't know man, just a tip and a suggestion.
1024  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Crash may take bitcoin to 1M dollar on: August 20, 2023, 09:00:44 PM
thing is. When financial crashes happen it doesn't just affect the stock market, the USD, or whatever is connected to the dollar at that particular moment. It affects everything. Houses are getting sold, wages are getting reduced, people are getting laid off, and of course, in response to the growing need of the people for more money else they starve and die, it's only logical that people will sell their bitcoin holdings in the process. Which I don't need to tell you, will significantly whittle down bitcoin's value by a massive margin.

So when you suppose as if bitcoin's going to be the future of currency after a massive economic turmoil, that's a fool's thought.
1025  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: August 20, 2023, 08:39:24 PM
budgeting wouldn't cut it anymore in this economy. I kid you not years ago my current budgeting system would've worked wonders, but now that things are in the shitter and it's way harder to manage expenses it's become so hard to budget without sacrificing stuff I was able to enjoy in the past, just so I don't starve before next paycheck. The only realistic way for you to still survive the current financial crisis and still have money to save is getting another job. A job for your expenses, and a job for your savings, plus don't be in rush when it comes to marrying and having kids. You can't raise children when the price of formula is increasing exponentially every year lol. Although if it can't really be helped then by all means.
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What micro games is best for you? on: August 20, 2023, 08:18:38 PM
IMO this works best with games that you can kill some time playing, otherwise you'll be bored to death. When you divide your session into 10 possible loss rolls in a row or something like that you still can be playing for an hour or longer. If you do the same thing playing a micro strategy, dividing your budget into 100 rolls, you could be spending whole day playing. Slots or crash are probably the best to try this strat with their high maximums.

I find dice games more enjoyable compared to other micro betting games out there. I discovered that I like how sometimes it's deterministic due to the fact that it has less probabilistic events especially when done in a live setting, although any other game would do just fine for me really, and it's all just because I'm not big on micro-betting. I like to place bets and gamble with quite the sizable amount of money since it gives me a higher prize pot to earn as compared to breadcrumbing my way to bankroll depletion. slots are not my cup of tea though, I find the abundance of moving parts even for digital slot games a little too much for me, and I'm inclined to think that the more moving parts a game has the harder it would be to win that particular game.

Wow, you must really enjoy dice... Personally, I find it to be the most boring game out there. It's like slots without all the graphics, sounds and extreme bonuses. It's like coin toss without the coin Cheesy

Au contraire brother. It's coin toss but instead of heads or tails you get to choose between heads, tails, torso, limbs, and all that parts lol. I hate the flashiness of slots cause it burns my eyes, plus the fact that there's literally a lot going on when you pull the lever just doesn't sit well with me. dices are straightforward. It's thrown, you choose which side of the die you like, and you win whether you're right or wrong. No bullshit, no beating around the bush.

I don't necessarily like it most, but if I were to really choose I'd pick it over any other micro-game out there. I'm mostly big on card games and sportsbetting nowadays so I don't play it as much, but it's still special to me.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 20, 2023, 07:57:34 PM

So much for the Fury vs Ngannou clown show, Mike Tyson vs Fedor Emelianenko might just be among the card this October.  Consider this post as a filler though it's a bit of an off-topic, I just want to insert the info to leave a bad taste. So who you got and how does it play out?

This is Fedor's death wish by the way I guess Tyson wouldn't say no to someone that is dying. Mikie still got it, somehow he showed it in his last with Roy Jones.

For what purpose is Tyson getting back into pro boxing? Is he out of money for bird feed?

kiddings aside while this for sure is going to be a fight that people will look out for, his opponent's not as well-known as he is, and even if we disregard that fact for the meantime in favor of seeing Tyson fight again in the ring, I don't think he's going to be able to give us a fight that is as ballistic and exciting as his bouts when he was still young and in his prime. Regardless, this is going to be one for the books, sucks to be Fedor lol. The pressure's on him and if he's unlucky this is going to cause a massive dent into his boxing legacy. Imagine being the guy who can't even defeat post-prime Mike Tyson, although that in itself is a massive ordeal on its own lol.
1028  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.GAME do not support on: August 20, 2023, 07:36:47 PM
have you tried putting this up with the proper channels? Like escalating this to a subject matter expert (I believe they have the capabilities to solve the problem for you) instead of working with the same customer service channel for 3 weeks straight? Or are they not able to provide such accessibilities, and if that's the case then that's a massive red flag for me. Anywho, hope you find the solution you're looking for. Bc.game's pretty big in this forum and they had tons of people who would vouch for their integrity, so I don't think they'd run off with your affiliate money.

Try to escalate this and ask for a higher-up that would expedite the solution for you, perhaps that could work.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: August 20, 2023, 07:18:06 PM
There are lot of players who are talented. But not all players are lucky. You have to be talented as well as lucky to play for the big teams. Only 11 players can play in a team, but there are plenty of talented players, so all cannot make into the team. This advantage is being taken by the coaches or the player hiring team. They ask for money in order to select the player to play in the team. This happening with almost all types of games. Sad thing we can’t do anything about it. Now regarding Mbappe story, then yes the club which asked him money made the losses by not selecting him on the basis of his skills.
Exactly what I said. People are assuming the good in everyone as if they aren't capable of doing shitty things. I've had a little interaction with someone within this thread about it too, saying that I shouldn't assume this happens in other sports cause no confirmation was made, when this couldn't be farther from the truth. The fact that people are capable of red-taping sports and giving other people unequal advantage over money is enough of an evidence to assume that this is something that happens with every sports.

Anywho, you're right, you also have to be really lucky if you want to make it into competitive athleticism especially football. Everyone can kick the ball into the net. Everyone can be talented at it, but only a lucky few would be given the chance to get paid millions of dollars for kicking it.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Collective bets in local lotteries on: August 20, 2023, 06:51:23 PM
If you're looking to win in lottery, it's better if open your eyes and use your logic about the possibility you can win.

Lottery is random, similar like slot or lucky based games. We don't need to talk very far, most of gamblers can't even pick the correct team or player that will win when there are only two or three options. It mean the chance you will win is high, 33% or 50%, but the house is still make money from it.
You'd be surprised at how greedy people can be. Try the same thing on a local lottery outlet and I bet my bottom dollar you'd either get stares of appalment or a punch in the face in rare occasions. People want the pie for themselves if they could. They wouldn't mind sharing but not at the expense of them actively giving out their share of the pie. Plus in most lotteries collective bets isn't even a thing that is viable anymore. All because of paradigm shifts that disallows massive jacks in the probability of winning for large-scale bettors. In the Philippine's Grand Lotto you wouldn't be able to pull off this stunt even if you involve the whole country. It's all probabilistic, add to that greed, and you'd find out why Collective bets aren't a thing as you had hoped it would be.

1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 20, 2023, 05:57:09 PM
Anybody know of any crypto casinos that offer cockfighting? preferably vietnamese thai cambodian or filipino
This is the first time I am seeing someone that is quite interested in cock fighting game which I know that is mostly offered by fiat casinos  or local ones. This kind of game is preferably a local game and it can not be available on cryptocurrency or online casinos since this kind of game is not recognized internationally. Op can check some of the cocal casinos for it because no everyone will be interested in this kind of game. It is mostly in the rural area cock fighting game often exist and local fouls are majorly used for competition in a cock fighting games.
It's quite big in South East Asian Countries like Vietnam and the Philippines. you'd see people carrying bags of cash into unlicensed arenas just to bet on games like these. It's fucked up on so many levels as it involves hurting the chickens, and sometimes the winner doesn't come out alive just as the loser, so it's a whole bloody ordeal. I suggested as well for him to look into casinos that were specifically situated in these countries as he'd have no luck finding casinos internationally that offer this kind of bloody sport. He might as well just bet on boxing if he wanted to cause no reputable casino would dare pick a fight with animal rights activists especially now that more notice is being given to the environment and the animals.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 20, 2023, 05:35:23 PM
Local ones would, but no particular casino would spare money over a niche sport like cockfighting. It's just not that profitable. Plus they'd also have to do sommersaults dealing with people who are inclined with animal rights and all that considering that these roosters die every fight. Find one that's within your access. I suggest looking into PH/Filipino-borne casinos as Cockfighting's big in that country, just juggle around the VPN and digital wallet problem cause the country has its own dedicated digital wallet application which may not be available to you depending on where you live. Best of luck to you and your gambling journey regardless, hope you find a consistent casino that offer such services!
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 WNBA Discussion and Betting on: August 19, 2023, 10:10:32 PM
I’ve only placed one bet on WNBA games in my life but one thing I did notice when looking at available games was that the odds seemed to always favor one team heavily. That appears to still be the case. I guess the WNBA is a little more lopsided than the NBA? I didn’t get crazy and bet on the favorite in order to get my win.
That’s cause there’s lack of talents and proper training/notice within the WNBA community. Wherein NBA when you’re talented and shit you get all the attention and training that you need to bring out the best in you, in WNBA all you really had going for is the fact that you’re talented. Training and all that kind of stuff is just seen as extra expense since your industry’s not paying well anyway, so you’re left with teams and lopsided games where one team dominates the whole tournament throughout. It’s not to say that they aren’t as great as the winner, it’s just that there’s no real incentive to invest in the WNBA, and to the players there’s no real reward for them to keep trying so hard since they aren’t getting paid enough anyway.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: August 19, 2023, 09:45:55 PM
In my opinion, every country must have different procedures regarding the prohibition of underage gambling, because gambling is the same as trading, such as investments and losses that will be experienced by individuals, because that's why the government usually makes decisions and prohibits young people from playing gambling. as well as investments regarding their finances, and because of unstable emotions that make it banned by governments in all countries, it's different from Honkong and Las Vegas where it seems that they don't have any restrictions on underage playing gambling or other things, In my opinion, it is legal if there is a prohibition for minors not being able to access gambling sites wherever they are, at least the government has provided prevention and bad things when those who are underage experience defeat in gambling, of course there will be many things that what they do when they know gambling, what's more if you experience defeat in gambling, you will definitely commit a crime to get money and later use it for gambling.
To even compare gambling and trading is a gross oversimplification! While both involve risks, they operate on fundamentally different principles. The economic models and theories behind trading are vast and have been refined over centuries. To suggest that governments ban gambling merely based on unstable emotions is, frankly, an amateur perspective! Hong Kong and Las Vegas, by the way, do have regulations against underage gambling. To imply otherwise is grossly misinformed. While I concede that preventing minors from accessing gambling sites is crucial, I refuse to let you propagate the idea that trading and gambling are the same. They're worlds apart

I am 100% sure that banning gambling to underage people will not work. More precisely, it is possible to ban gambling for minors, but they will still play gambling and there will be no real benefit from such bans.

Governments of many countries are concerned about their citizens only to have money to pay taxes and to lower the crime rate in the country. These are goals that are only pursued to fill the coffers and keep the government safe. They do not give a damn about the real well-being of citizens and their problems.
yeah nah KYC could work, since it ensures that it's really you that's playing and not somebody else. in sites like Stake if you look and feel dubious enough you might get asked to provide some sort of proof of income and all that stuff which are generally directed to stop money laundering but could also ensure that gambling for minors is strictly monitored. Of course there will be sites that are not as dedicated to ensuring the safety of minors is taken care of but at the same time if things go well this could very well be a form of baseline that all casinos in the future were to follow yeah? Or maybe I'm just spitballing here lmao but I see logic and viability in KYC not only against stopping people from doing fishy things but with minors as well.
1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opinion on crypto casino project on: August 19, 2023, 09:29:54 PM
My biggest question mark about this whole decentralized casino thingy is that, how would you be able to protect your users against hackers and scammers? What is the base of operations when someone, let's say a gambler of yours found out that a hacker swiped his whole bankroll off of his bank account? Because the very least with KYC we'd get somewhere with all the investigations and proof that you can give out for whether someone really was hacked or whatnot, with decentralized casinos that couldn't be done.

What would you do in these types of situations, plus besides the fact that your casino's catering to the people who wanted to stay private, what else would you be able to provide to the table? The whole industry's been very comfortable with the whole KYC setup now and if the only thing that's going for you is the fact that you don't offer KYC, you guys would have a pretty hard time getting people to trust you.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: August 19, 2023, 08:57:46 PM
What are your thoughts on the recent matches on the FIDE World Chess Cup 2023?

I watched the game between Ivanchuk vs Magnus and Magnus won with a score of 2-0 against the legend himself.

During their first game, Magnus was able to grind down the game during the middle game leaving that e6 pawn too strong for Vasyl to hold. On their second game yesterday, Magnus, with the black pieces, managed to get a drawing position (which he believed that he could grind it for a win) which prompted Vasyl to resign.

Fabi was also able to win against Duda and the former mentioned in an interview that the lines he played was inspired from his preparation against Magnus since their match on the 2018 WCC.

Who do you think will win for this year's FIDE World Chess Cup 2023?

A victory over Ivanchuk was expected since Ivanchuk has already left big chess and plays for pleasure, but he was once considered a real competitor to Kasparov and a contender for the crown.
I don't think that Abasov will be a problem for Carlsen, I'm more interested in the second pair - I hope Pragnanadhi wins. Caruana is also a player of the past, I want to see how the new generation replaces the previous one.
casua or not Ivanchuk is a great player that has been paired with multiple legends like Carlsen and Kasparov. For him to fall in grace and end the tourmament on a pretty low note is nothing to be expected. I’m not saying he should’ve wom the whole event or whatnot. Just hoping he would’ve given us a better performance than what he was able to put out in tve tournament. He’s a capable player, it’s not like he stopped playing chess although I do understand the gap between casual and competitive chess is extremely high.

Hoping that he’d put out better performances in the future. Carlsen will keep doing carlsen things, he’s not even trying anymore besides the fact that he’s pushing for a higher chess rating lol.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: August 19, 2023, 08:44:01 PM
So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?
Obviously yes because the percentage of rich people in this world is lesser than the middle class so let's say 10% of people are rich on average it doesn't mean all the people who gamble are middle class so they can increase their financial status by making some money.

People gamble for only one reason to make some money but if their intention is to become rich with this strategy then they are stupid, it can give you a win sometimes but a loss on the other side mostly so it same goes for rich people too but the only difference is rich people can top up their casino balance with no worries which is not the case with others.
It's way less but they rich are able to put in more money than the poor ones so it kind of counterbalances the whole percentage thingy. Would agree with how you put it too. To some people it may not sit well to assume that the poor gamble because of money, but it's the truth. People who couldn't earn enough for the day go to lottery outlets for that one chance at a life-changing sum of money. The rich wouldn't be anywhere near it, cause they don't need to, and they know that the system is rigged against them especially in games like these. The rich may gamble but only for experience and entertainment. They'd never gamble for money unless it's for some bet they can't say no to.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: August 19, 2023, 08:21:46 PM
basically, you tell us that you lose more when you're distracted gambling. Are you fond of playing games with strategy, or are you into games of chance? While I still think distraction plays a crucial part in affecting your decisions I don't think it would affect you that much if you're playing games like dice and roulettes, since your distraction plays little to no part in the outcome of the game anyway. As for card games like poker, I could understand it being a probable cause for you losing more money than you would've wanted, in which case I say you shouldn't gamble on the fly and only ever gamble when you're not distracted, saves you the trouble of losing games you could've won if you had a sound mind, but at the same time it drives the essence of gambling even further, which is to only be played as a sort of pastime/entertainment.
1040  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 18, 2023, 09:45:47 PM
I hope it is better for a gambler if he keeps his gambling habit a secret. Because in the society we live in today, different people live in different mindsets. But I have seen many murubbis in my area who make a lot of bad comments about such gambling or betting who indulge in this activity. In that case it is understood that when a gambler places a bet on his name, his family is called various bad words by the people of the society. Accordingly if a gambler keeps his gambling a secret then it is definitely a good sign. Because if that person gambles without keeping such a secret, then a gambler keeps this matter a secret keeping in mind that there will be various comments about him in the society. I would say that those who keep their gambling a secret for self-respect must be proud of it.
While I could understand the logic behind your thought process and I would say you're not entirely wrong. Societal pressures and hate from your peers when they find out you involve yourself in gambling is definitely detrimental to your mental health and social reputation. But I'd do you one better.

Try letting some of the people you trust the most that you're into gambling. Only the ones you trust the most, no one else. Why? Well if the eventuality comes that you need them for something, like connect you with a rehabilitation facility for when you feel like you've succumbed to gambling addiction, they know what to do right away. Keeping stuff to yourself would cause bigger problems when things go south. And I know people downplay this a lot but the dangers of succumbing to gambling addiction without you knowing is big and is real.
