Can anybody tell me if NXT will survive this and go up again?
I can tell you my opinion. NXT will survive and go up again.

Why cant CRYPTI devs just demand the escrow from BTER and be done with them? Everyone in the community would vote in favor of that.
How do you know "everyone" would be? I wouldn't be. I don't know the terms of the escrow, but the money shouldn't be released to the devs before main net is launched and there is a working Windows wallet at the minimum.

This coin looks interesting however lack of promotion and any other activity is disappointing. I guess in the next few days it might go to the moon or crash completely.
It has been stated numerous times that marketing will start AFTER the coin has launched.

Just to play devil's advocate. Couldn't Bter show you anyone's BTC address and say it's theirs? As I'm sure there are quite a few people that use the site and have large BTC holdings..
This has crossed our minds when doing a team conference yesterday, we will ask Bter for a solution. Solution is simple. Say they should send you 0.123456 BTC from that address as a test. Simpler solution, they can sign a message using the PK of that account. That's what signing was designed for.

P.S. I hope somebody is tracking these useful API posts so to make possible easy creating of programmer's guide
Nice. Very clear.

What happens if people rebel and NXT is thrown into a sort of civil war, with two forks claiming to be the legitimate NXT? What's the contingency plan in that scenario? I read about this possibility from reading the NXT forums. Could it really happen? The chain with more NXT forging will win.

Mark this day in history. The nxt bid/ask are lower on dgex than bter.

Thanks for the clarification james. Your right, as you said, and I said, I wasn't reading the code. I thought you were teleporting on the NXT block chain. Let's hope NXT doesn't change their API for the parts you are using.

I don't understand why you have to re-do the genesis block. If you created it and launched mainnet running on private nodes why not let it run until they are ready to go on line.
Can you explain this again?
Because passphrase from crypti bter account can be stolen. In result we need to change genesis block (bter old address to new address) and we will restart network. Why not just move it all to a new account?

Correct. In a within couple of weeks they wont need to be. A patch is in the works.
Thanks. That said, why wouldn't my sell order then just show at the top of the ASK list?

I'm selling into a buy order at the bid price and it's not clearing. Why would that be? Does the seller have to be online or something?
If the pair is VIA, then the seller (currently) has to be online. If it's an asset like XCH or something else, then they do not have to be online. Selling XCH/Via pair. So, that means they have to be online?

I'm trying to log into my clearwallet and getting a message the no servers are available.
I did see the spinning issue on a receipt of Via from BTER, it spun for quite a while, but eventually showed correctly. Do you still want me to PM the address?
Only if you actually *have* an issue. The wheel will spin until the transaction confirms. Well, it did spin and there were over 20 confirms. I thought it stopped spinning after 1 confirm? But, it's not spinning now. Hence my question.

Nxt is done, should be time for btcd then rught?
Um no. And, this whole teleport thing works with NXT. So be careful what you wish for. i know NXT is not gone but are you saying that without NXT there will be no teleport? I admit I haven't look at any code, but from reading james' messages and his NXT Inside comments that teleport uses NXT Arbitrary Messages to do the teleporting. But, I could be wrong. My brain is fried from reading 40 pages about the BTER hack.

Instead even bitcoin devs are saying they're probably a ponzi, lol.
Um, no. The bitcoin dev said it is probable that some cloud hashing companies are ponzi's. He never pointed to any one of them and claimed they were.

I'm actually completely done with exchanges. We really need decentralized P2P exchanges. Needed to wait more than a week for Poloniex to free my Monero coins because they were lost in their wallet and now this. It's almost hilarious how bad they are, even worse than mainstream banks You mean like Ripple, Stellar, Counterparty, Clearinghouse and NXT Asset Exchange? I like Ripple and Stellar because you can hold fiat and all sorts of cryptos in the same wallet and trade anything against anything else, but your coins are still held by a centralized exchange - you only get IOUs in your wallet, so they don't solve the problem of thefts. NXT Multigateway might, but I haven't looked into it that much. Counterparty I love, but I don't think it can deal with anything other than BTC and XCP directly - everything else would just be a kind of IOU again wouldn't it? The NXT AE with the mgw is the best option at this time. I haven't used XCP but have used XCH, my understanding is they need gateways similar to the NXT mgw to move from coins to assets and back.
