Bitcoin is now what? $470? Is it possible that bitcoin will reach that kind of worth a year and half from now?
Nobody knows for sure because nobody can see the future except Chuck Norris. So to answer your question: Possible? Yes Guaranteed? No

Hi guys, I am new here but I know some things about Bitcoin. I am interested in investing some money, but not too much in some kind of project, but not in mining. Maybe cloud mining, but as I heard, only earner from such is developer.. What would you suggest? Thanks Right now it is better to just buy Bitcoins than investing in mining. Cloud mining is also waste right now. Several miners are turning their mining rigs off due to low profitability (or no profitability). Now is a good time to buy if you're looking to invest. Prices are relatively low. You can still wait to see if prices go lower, but it can go any ways - nobody is 100% sure. Or better, place multiple orders at different price points $200, $180, $150 and so on... Just make sure not to invest more than you can afford to lose.

I have recovered a year old wallet last month and it contained 120k satoshi. Feeling clueless!! what to do!! That was almoost 1000$ priced BTC. Now its worth around 200@
HODL it! There is nothing better you can do with it right now; if you sell, you lose. Who knows if you hodl onto it, you'll be able to make a story out of it in future, hopefully a pleasant one ?

Lets face it, it won't be too long before Sweden will start talking about giving the Nobel Prize in Economics to Satoshi. That is pretty much a certainty. But, who will receive the prize? Satoshi is long gone and never coming back.
I think Andreas Antonopoulos should accept it on his behalf. Andreas is true father of bitcoin after satoshi and continues to be a great ambassador for the community now.
Not gonna happen unless Satoshi reveals his true identity. Is it even under their protocol to award a non-identified person? I'm not doubting Bitcoin's potential to win Noble prize, I just don't think it will be given to a person whose real identity is still unknown.

WOW.. Now I know where all my losings go when I play on gambling sites... it goes to lucky peeps like this one Just kidding, I don't gamble at all; sometimes I waste the free satoshis they give away for free, but I never really win anything.

hello all ,
I want to buy 1.5 btc please post your offers !! and suitable payment methods !!
See here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=122.0There are several sellers who will sell you Bitcoins via bank transfer. You might also want to use a trusted escrow. 1.5BTC is not a small amount.

If it is not a big amount of coins, you can keep them their but if you have bigger amount you can make a cold storage wallet in that off-line computer and transfer your funds their for extra security.
He is already thinking of a cold wallet. His main question is - does it matter to have all your Bitcoins on a single address or you should distribute them over many addresses? I think that's a matter of personal choice rather than security.
Rather than messaging, I am impressed how it makes sending/receiving Bitcoins as easy as chatting on WhatsApp.
But how do you get your Bitcoins out? Is it possible to spend them on something from within the app?
Conclusion :
-snip-
Glad to see everything sorted out; though I can't say you're the happy one here. All that said, the mystery still remains for the transaction that vanished from block chain.
Yea but i still don't get how the Wallet Developers earn the money?
Now you're just trolling, aren't you? Several people have pointed out that wallet developers rely on donations. Other than that, they don't charge the users for anything. What's the deal? Are you looking to develop a wallet of your own and worried about how you would cover the expenses?
That's a hell lot of blocks to only have 1 transaction. And I wouldn't even call it one transaction, I would call it ZERO transactions! I knew this was possible but I didn't know the number would be this high.

Hi all,
Quick question, I have about 8 - 10 different addresses which are all used to receive payment from different sources. As such my btc is scattered all over the place but nice and neat in my wallet.
Is it a good idea to send all my BTC to one address? I've got a spare computer here which has never seen the internet so I'm thinking of generating a wallet(paper/cold) there and sending all my btc to that. What approach should I take?
In my opinion, it doesn't make a difference; it is a matter of personal choice than security. This might affect in future if you want to spend those coins. If you have all coins on one address, you will need to expose that private key to spend even a little amount. If you have distributed the total balance among multiple addresses, you can keep releasing the private keys one by one as you need. I don't know how it affects security.

I would like to know what is for you the best duration for a ponzi round.
I would love to invest in a Ponzi that pays me 150% first and then i have to return the original 100%. So pay me 0.15 BTC first and I will 'invest' 0.1 BTC. GUARANTEED 150% RETURN, YOU SEE !!

Again, I admit that I withdrew the coins. Coins that I received as a payment for a service that I provided to someone else. At the time of my 2nd withdrawal I checked my PREVIOUS withdrawal of the 0.0182 which goes to 'transaction not found' page on blockchain, leading me to believe its the same money which remained in my wallet for some reason.
Moral issues apart, I am failing to understand the underlying issue with block chain here. You're saying you have made 2 successful transactions of same amount and have also spent these coins elsewhere. Then how come one of these transactions is vanished from block chain?
So now I think it'd be best to bring this issue into the light of the community members and have a general sense of opinion.
If I were you, I would let them take what is not mine. And I think you don't have a choice either, especially when they are in possession of some of your funds. You can reject their claim but then you'll lose your fiat if they don't process your buy order.

okay thanks for the info You're welcome. Also, there is one more exchange igot.com which also operates in India. STAY AWAY FROM IT. There are many people who have used iGot and have had negative experience: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395675.0

I have been buying from localbitcoins.com but the price of the seller's are always higher than market , sometimes they are unbelievably high. Where shall i buy ?? what if there is a dip just like last week and i want to buy a load but then again it's no use to me , i will still get it at high i can buy with cash or bank deposit (TD,BMO) ,e-transfer , all in canada but the prices are just damn high. i think coinbase.com provides the btc at current price , am not sure please tell me , but it doesn't have it for India as of yet , but maybe for Canada i think. what about those ATM's in vancouver , Canada , never visited one . do they give the current price or something different. Any answers on these would be helpful Please let me know if i posted in wrong section. You're talking about India as well as Canada. Where are you based? In India, you can use Unocoin.com to wire transfer your money and buy Bitcoins at market price. For Canada I think Coinbase should work. I'm originally based in India , but i got a friend in canada , i could buy from India or Canada , either place i want to i prefer buying from Canada because of the exchange price difference in INR and CAD i don't think Coinbase works in Canada as stated by "CanadaBits" though thanks for letting me know about Unocoin.com never heard of it thanks I have used Unocoin a few times and the experience is good. You have to go through the verification process though, if you want to buy some decent quantity. You can basically do a NEFT/RTGS/IMPS transfer from any Indian bank to deposit INR to your account and place order for Bitcoin at current prices. The Bitcoins are deposited into your account the same working day in most cases.

Just recovered an old zero balance wallet belonging to myself... if anyone is interested ?
Re: I am the poorest early adopter in the world...
This guy is also in same line with you: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=914605.0But he did not accumulate coins, he was just aware of Bitcoin at early stage but did not do anything to accumulate them. Sad stories..

Technically speaking, I guess this makes me an early adopter. I was into bitcoins and even obtained some while the prices were still in the single digits. But with only 75,000 satoshis to show for it, I must be the poorest early adopter in the world. I'm sorry you feel it that way and I can understand how it must have felt. But you're still better than this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=916785You do not have many Bitcoins because you did not accumulate them. That guy accumulated thousands of them and then lost all of them. Today you're both same 'rich'.
