383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 1 BTC = Accepted Block ? on: June 26, 2015, 10:53:46 AM
Hi , I'm a beginner in BTC mining  Roll Eyes

I Made in a Day 11,000 Block approximately

My question is How many Block Accepted i Need it to Create 1 BTC ?

I hope by reading above replies you have understood that what you've found are not 'blocks'. They are accepted 'shares'. Shares have no directly proportional relationship with how man BTC you can earn.

Think of it this way:

When someone is able to solve the math problem by finding a block, he is rewarded with 25BTC. Now, looking at the difficulty it is almost impossible for one machine to find a block (solve the math problem). So people divert their hashing power to pools. Pools gather this power and hence are able to find a block by utilizing all this hash power collectively.

In return, the pool is rewarded with 25BTC. A small portion is kept by pool as fees. The remaining BTC are divided among the people who contributed their hash power. The more hashes you provided, the more 'shares' you contributed, and the more is your BTC reward.

So for example in your case if there were 10 people and all contributed 11,000 shares and the pool sent 24BTC reward among all of you, everyone will get 2.4BTC.

Unless your hash power is several terrahash, there is very small possibility that you'll earn any reasonable amount of BTC by mining. You may not even cover your electricity costs.

385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Didn't Satoshi Think About Instant Transactions? on: June 24, 2015, 10:36:25 AM
Transactions are instant, are you referring to confirmation?

I have done a lot of transactions all happens in usually 1-2 seconds or less.

Yes of course I was referring to instant 'confirmations'. Even one instant confirmation will be very helpful in order to process some of the daily payments in retail stores etc. against the 10 minutes block time we currently have. There could have been a system where teh first confirmation took just seconds, and then more confirmations would follow in next blocks. This would have been very helpful for small payments.

Probably there could have been a way for him to think of shorter block times. Or probably he thought 10 minutes was good enough compared to traditional money transfer systems.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why Didn't Satoshi Think About Instant Confirmations? on: June 23, 2015, 05:06:42 PM
Well...   not actually "instant", but he could have though of 'faster' transaction confirmations.

When someone of his skills and imagination is on his path to create a decentralized digital currency, how is the transaction times are not given the most important thought process? I'm sure it isn't hard to imagine instant transactions in today's worls when email is the medium of daily communication which delivers messages in matter of seconds?

EDIT:
Had to change "Transactions" to "Confirmations" in title since it was a slightly misleading in terms of what I wanted to convey.

Well, that's good. Though they could only test 15% of the volume they intended, the network held strong.

So Im obviously really new here. I`ll be editing my journey to btc, as I`m new to all this..

I saw and read a bunch of threads like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1006151.0

only to find limited to some options, but cant do some cause im obviously new to join a campaign.

Welcome to the forum.

I can see you have already noticed that Newbie accounts are not eligible for signature campaigns (other than a few like the one mentioned in above post). Since they are a good way of acquiring good amount of BTC for free, I would suggest you slowly build your account and become eligible for campaigns once you're a full member.

But since it will take some time for you to reach there and if you're very eager to get some BTC, just buy some using fiat. If you don't want to spend a penny, try faucets that give away free BTC - but that will be a very small amount that can let you test Bitcoin experience, but other than that you can't do much.

I started with nothing and claimaing on faucets I became a millionaire...even a multi-millionaire...in satoshi.

Hopefully each satoshi will be worth a dollar one day  Grin

You have not specified anything about what that password was for.

Was it your Bitcoin wallet? If yes, which wallet software you're using? Try elaborating your issue by providing more detail, so that we can help you.
393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need help keeping my bitcoin on: June 23, 2015, 12:59:34 PM
Hello everybody.
Am new here and i need help in keeping bitcoin

You're asking about 'keeping' your Bitcoin. So I'm assuming you have already purchased your Bitcoins.

In this case, how did you acquire them? If you used some exchange like Coinbase / BitStamp etc., you should install a desktop wallet and transfer yuor coins to your computer rather than leaving them on exchange.

Since you are new and still learning, I would suggest you try Multibit or electrum. Both are easy to use wallet. Moreover they're 'lite' clients that do not need the whole block chain downloaded in order to function well.

If this was not the answer to your question, then please elaborate more about what you're asking.
394  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin Wallet on: June 23, 2015, 04:40:41 AM
Mm long list, I am agog to know why not Coinbase in list? Vault multisig, okay customer service, +3mil registered etc..

Because it is an exchange, not a wallet. You can call it an online wallet, but you don't have control on your private keys, so it doesn't really qualify for a wallet.
If you really need an online wallet, blockchain.info is far batter than coinbase. They let you control on your private keys.

Can someone help this guy. Its painful to sit and watch. Surely its not hard to fix now he has proven his case?

Exactly. He has even signed a message from an address evidently belonging to him. This is very straight forward case. Just give him the account already!

Long thread. No time to read. Is this worth investing in?

Why?

You  are on Bytecoin thread, asking if Bytecoin is any good. What were you expecting?
And why would you trust someone else's opinion when you're putting your own money in it? Would you trust whatever we say?

OK then...  go ahead, this is a very good coin with bright future. It is the first coin based on cryptonote technology and has fully anonymous tansactions.

Now go ahead and put some large buy walls on HitBTC.

.
.
.

Or just take some time to read and come to your own judgement. It is your money after all.

Da Dice also have a 'Fixed Pay' campaign now, in addition to the 'Pay Per Post' they're running.

That should be added to OP.

Call me a granny, but I'm still using my 3-year old Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V.
I'm thinking of switching to one of the new android flagships. Probably one from Xiaomi. Haven't decided yet.
400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faster BTC confirmation time on: June 18, 2015, 04:38:07 PM
I suppose as much as mining rigs become faster, the confirmation processes will also gets faster with it. We will see some pretty cool and super fast processors soon.

No matter how fast the rigs become, they can't possibly make the blocks found quickly. The difficulty will adjust itself so that the blocks are found every 10 minutes or so.
BTC was mined with CPU initially; then came GPUs, then ASICs. But confirmation times haven't changed because difficulty has risen to keet the block interval at about 10 minutes.

@OP: With higher fees you can hope that your transaction will be given priority by the miners, but it doesn't help with block times. So higher fees doesn't mean having 500 quick confirmation.
