1181  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: How to Install BFG Miner on your new Raspberry Pi - A Step by Step Guide on: October 24, 2016, 05:36:50 PM
What miner ? . yup  it's a MAT MINER  Smiley.  Mining ASICs Technologies follow below

for the latest BFG to work you have to flash each board with a flasher you can only get here https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=27370.0 you have to ask

jstefanop

to send it hell probable want to sell it , then follow https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=27370.0 his post, it tells you how to flash it.

Then follow my post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1468120.0  it will tell you how to hook  up a AlcheMiner/MAT miner to use any PI type PC or PC you want  , they are the same miner with different names.

if the boards are all ready flashed then compile bfg like my post said, your set . why i said my post is   BFG doesn't have all the fixes pulled or  not  all the fixes jstefanop did are in the master bfg  yet once it is you can just install/compile BFG the normal way by  following this post but make sure to use this when you do compile it

Code:
chmod +x ./configure
./configure CFLAGS="-O2" --enable-scrypt --enable-alchemist
mainly this
Code:
--enable-alchemist
it is off in BFG by default and that works with Mat miners  remember they are  the same miner AlcheMiner or MAT aka Mining ASICs Technologies .

BFG is free, the Flasher is not, unless jstefanop gives it a way freely .The flasher is a paid for updated firmware that lets you use the free updated BFG drivers ( jstefanop did also) with those miners that fixed all  most every issue those miners had.

thanks top

for anyone inserted i had minera 7.0 using GPU's to mine ETH with Ubuntu 16.4 some what, lost interest after i saw you can and went back to using windows and it seemed for me using Ubuntu 16.10  had major PHP issue.

Network Difficulty dropped a lot i guess that's the calm before the storm. so watch out, mine your ass off now with all most any miner . i don't know i don't watch the lite coin Difficulty like i used to with btc's.
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS - v1007 - RX OS more stable on: October 23, 2016, 09:15:06 PM
Thx for info.
About fan speed i would have to make own custom script that will controll fan speed based on parameter.
I am aware that claymore doesnt work for RX400 series and sets 80 C i suppose.
I will try to do that but after Zcash release.

Also i think that still is a problem in RX OS in overcloking.
Sometimes it stes wrong dpm level and also sometimes speed of mining is lower than it should be.
I dont have this confirmed for sure because in my 3 rigs tis working without any issues but i hear from my friend that its not working as it should.
Can anyone confirm if mining speed and OC iw working or not in RX OS release ?

Also there was v1009 little update that only disabled syslog in RX OS.

I am curently testing zcash gpu miner and if it goes ok then i will implement in my OS Smiley
There is plenty of time so dont worry.
Also i am thinkin that i could make CPU miner as an option to enable on each rig. But most important is GPU miner for zcash.

it doesn't for sure if im under windows i use after burner for fan control when i use claymore it seems to keep my temps were i want them and makes claymore miner adjust to it and  sty at a good steady 28 MH . if i let claymore do it all my temps get up there .
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AlcheMiner/MAT New Firmware and BFGMiner port! on: October 23, 2016, 07:51:35 PM
i use minera every day with no lag btw jat i sent him a copy of the firmware free if he had paid me any thing i would given it to you i told him not to , i hope that was ok.

I'm using the new beta version  of Minera with the old version of minera as the software controller  right now with no issue sense the beta only supports network miners with API access not just CGMINER Smiley but will  do it all soon im told  .  with two script miners and bfg one is a AlcheMiner/MAT miner.  I'm even trying to get eth mining working with minera and windows that a lot of joy just getting the new minera to install on a windows box but poss if it's win 10 .

i would post some SS of it in the new minera but not sure if the DEV wants me to yet, i asked .

with these settings

Code:
--scrypt -S ALC:all --set ALC:clock=320 --set ALC:mode=1

and setting the difficulty to 8192 all the time ( i found anything lower or higher it doesn't like ) and hashes bad .

that's with all five boards flashed on a usb 3.0 hub with custom made cables and power cables from each board to the PSU, i had to many issue with the patch cables it had , it works great on any pool i use with minera.

1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 470 = 30Mhs ++ GPUz 80W on: October 23, 2016, 04:41:16 AM
There back to default clocks with the mode i redid @ 27 mh and Ming a way.
I need those cards to much right now to burn one out .

http://imgur.com/1sGfiPU  or clocked it to 28 MH gonna see if that holds ok for a while with one card if it does I''ll put my other 3 at 28 MH , 29 MH was a nite mare for me .

Great, if the OP does get it to run stable @ 30 mh.

Thanks top.

This means the A2's should drop in price may be 500 or less for one and titans should stay about the same ?. this is not a question  just a thought > the A2 's should still be usable for a while longer and Zeus miners  or lower will be dead now for sure .
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 470 = 30Mhs ++ GPUz 80W on: October 22, 2016, 04:41:03 PM
I had mine doing 29 MH by following this video but it wasn't for long mine got really unstable at that  speed or mine were . mine are 4 GB  Cards .

I'm sure i Probably could have tweaked it enough to hold at 29 MH or higher if i tried .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uy0roLG7ARc  got bored real fast tiring to many crashes .

1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BEST GPU HARDWARE FOR BTC MINING ? on: October 22, 2016, 03:56:17 PM
This should give you a better idea of what you need for one rig of say 4 to 6 cards Smiley".

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/wK2TWX

That's with out the cards add in another 1194 $ at the least for 6 RX 470 or nvidia cards they cost more you need at least a 960 or 990 model with those to do any good, I THINK, I'm not a big nvidia fan, that's without shipping and taxes . O yea riser cards you may need 6 kits if you go with 6 .

I"m looking for a ASRock H61 Pro BTC ATX LGA1155 Motherboard because I can't see me wasting another 30 bucks on top of 70 for the MB sense i all ready have a Intel 1155 cpu im not using that costs me 250 a while back i burnt up the MB i had over clocking . the watts it does it about what the 1150 does .

http://pcpartpicker.com  I've been using for some time just to get a General idea of what i might need i can get some stuff even cheaper .
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS - RX400 support - First OC on: October 22, 2016, 03:30:54 PM
all good i thought id give it a shot sense it now has rx 400 support getting tried of windows i still wish it was some thing like windows 7 but improved more but win 7 is kind of done. i believe sgminer will be better over time, it's old school by that i mean nothing new to learn reports everything but right now Claymore is the best one to use out the box , sgminer takes some adjusting but will get better etc it has no force fee, i donate with no issue and would with Claymore or pay  a yearly unlock fee .if this takes off like you want it to and does it right , I'll do the same. i have one big issue with being forced to pay , when i would buy it or donate rather then be told either pay it or don't use it.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS - RX400 support - First OC on: October 22, 2016, 02:38:00 PM
it's nice

but every time i log into the dashboard i have to click a email. not enough monitoring for me, no real control over what i can do, it's not clocking with my modded bios, it's at 26 mh per card, it should hit 27 mh or better with out overclocking by default on three RX 470, that what i get under win 10 with Claymore @ 27 mh no overclock's and temp well below 74 c per card more like 50 to 65 c . my vram most be cooking at 74 c. i only have two running right now. i was using windows but windows 10 has to many issue with security  it drives you nuts.May try win 7 if i can't get Ubuntu to work how i want .

only thing i adjusted was the fan speed, i don't care to much for Claymore miner but atm it is about the best one to use till sgminer-gm is tweaked better code wise . to be honest i wish Claymore miner reported hw errors like sgminer-gm does id rather see them then be mislead.

Code:
GPU0 t=74C fan=20%, GPU1 t=74C fan=47%
ETH: 10/22/16-16:42:00 - New job from us1.ethermine.org:4444
ETH - Total Speed: 53.123 Mh/s, Total Shares: 10, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:16
ETH: GPU0 26.594 Mh/s, GPU1 26.529 Mh/s
GPU0 t=74C fan=20%, GPU1 t=74C fan=47%
ETH: 10/22/16-16:42:54 - New job from us1.ethermine.org:4444
ETH - Total Speed: 53.076 Mh/s, Total Shares: 10, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:17
ETH: GPU0 26.563 Mh/s, GPU1 26.514 Mh/s
GPU0 t=74C fan=21%, GPU1 t=74C fan=47%

Just feedback !! .

Makes me wonder why they don't ? . I would think it would better that they should.

well that's my 2 470, those hw errors don't seem to hurt or effect them, i"m about to add two more 470's  . no memory errors im ware of , i guess i would know if i had memory errors like lots of crashing, the screen doing strange things.
the one with 64.0C 2461RPM is a ref card the other one is a nitro.the middle one is a r7 370 it's still usable .I'm looking for a h61 btc sense I have a LGA 1155 CPU not being used and start on my next rig and take my rigs 4 to 5 cards per rig and build maybe 4 rigs then go from there., i found a h61 btc, I was gonna buy today at a sweet price, ofc it sold, yesterday..on ebay .

 thanks top

so still no reason why so many hard ware error's . Ive been using the new version a few days again with lots of hw errors that don't seem to hurt or affect my cards just makes me nervous seeing  hw  error with video cards .if i use any other software i don't get them and with what ASIC miners i have left, i expect it.

I'm getting Claymore hash rate or better with this sw miner with HW errors, no fees and have been donating as i can .Smiley.

cool can't wait i only have one C1 and One A4 and a broke A6 ,

my 167 MH worth of script mining that uses BFG so i guess I'll give it a look with my C1 or A4 and even A6 once i  fix it . they use Cgminer .

my best hash is my GPU farm it's growing monthly, so that's got a wait .
1195  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: THMiners on: October 12, 2016, 11:36:58 AM
YES miner anyone ?. LMAO from one extreme to another what they won't do/try for dishonest cash .looks like they changed the name, up the hash some and added a script miner that there is no way possible can do that kind of hash sense Innosilicon is the only company right now that even brothers with making script miners with the A4 shipping this month and the best it does 280 mh right now.
1196  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: So, only one Bitcoin miner on market right now. on: October 12, 2016, 03:28:53 AM
Why keep it for themselves though? When they can make a killing producing one  from a low cost then put an exorbitant pricetag on it for people to buy. People will still buy them anyway, as long as the miner pushes for more THS than the last one, the buying public will see it and be blind to the price.

You don't go to a gun fight with a knife.

No one really fights bitmaintech with ASIC sales.  So no one has been able to release a better cheaper miner.

So Avalon builds a close miner and sells it at a higher price so as not to offer real competition.

Bitfury builds in house gear and avoids it all together .   The best most competitive way to mine btc is with a gpu rig.

Huh ? Wtf ?
  No way .

Well mine eth or xmr with a gpu rig and convert to btc.

This is what bitmaintech is up against.

Frankly I think it is good for all.

So when Avalon releases the 7
I want it to be a 0.08 to .11 watt miner.  And I want it to be a little more costly then the s-9.

This will help gpu mining .  The last thing we need is a war with bitmaintech. And any ASIC company .

Bitmaintech will simply crush that company and in the process it will hurt the btc price.

Same as when. Bitmaintech did battle with spondoolies.

what would be interesting to see is what would happen if Avalon was to sell there A7 say at 800/900 bucks per with no intention of starting a price war or taking on BM they just want to price things the right way .the worse that can happen is BM would lower there price lower and Avalon would start setting the market price from there and would all ways be higher then BM, I can see that working as long they don't get greedily etc . and not try to put BM out of business and actually start price war's but try to make things more fair for every one if Avalon could do that and stay humble thu it all like they are now, i could see it working and BM would be under control price wise. the money would still be there.

IF they really want to keep selling to the public and turned down that deal with the other company because it would have cost more then it was worth (not just money but values) and they didn't want to add more to there administration.  which btw was why they turned it down , i guess they still wanted full control and not add more form the blog that was posted .

I think the problems spondoolies had was they had to be top dog why I say that after all the smoke cleared they went down fighting started making sense less posts there pride was hurt for sure and they actually thought they could take out bitmain and wouldn't back off, and work with them, they had a nice miner to.

i know it won't happen it's just a dream but it's a thought .

The A7 is coming , i just noticed more about it on tweeter and some one broke down the A7 code and it looks like it might be a 7 or 8 th that runs better then the S9 or whatever they called there so called home miner  . well see . i posted  more here :

I had given up all hope was about to get ride of my few older antminer i have left and went to GPU Mining, started building a GPU farm .

here is about the A7 code

the A4 does like 280 MH @ 1000 watts at the wall and they have a 1200 mh  script miner that does 830 watts you know that's gotta be wrong. maybe Innosilicon can learm a thing or two from them JK.

1200  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Avalon 7 on: October 11, 2016, 10:50:23 PM
just noticed this to day on tweeter i tend to not read stuff in detail but pass thu it and am trying un brick my controller that's in side the miner, so im reading everything i can  all most anyplace to learn how to.

Avalon is not taking that deal to sell so we may see a A 7  yet? .

Today, Canaan is announcing that we are choosing to focus on innovation and will not pursue the deal to be acquired by Chinese electronics.

from the 29 th of Sep.

https://twitter.com/canaanio/status/781442861191397376

https://canaan.io/en/2016/09/29/keep-the-faith-innovation-over-acquisition/

at the very bottom it says

I know most of you are asking, “When is your next AvalonMiner coming out?” You will hear from us very soon…

so one is coming i know I won't beadle to afford it because of BM and i don't care, i like them better then BM all ways have they seem nicer not so hard core etc. they prove you don't have to be ..

well any way looking forward to seeing it, I probable won't get one but if I can at some point I'll buy from them. probable will never buy an other BM product unless it's used and then just to try then resell it.

I see you posted it to, awesome!! .

Any news anybody? It's sept 9 already and no a7 so far... Not even a single word on their website. It makes me doubt the a7 rumor in general and the September release in particular  Undecided

"September release" in THIS industry, even from reputable makers, usually means "we're AIMING for end of September, but might slip into October or even November".

i would say November maybe even xmas now they would make a killing on  black Friday or after .
