The simple answer; There is NO reason to buy ANY mining equipment right now. Difficulty going straight UP while Profit going straight DOWN. Soon all those idiot resellers that bitmain swamped with 10's of 1000's of S9's and L3+'s will be choking on them and fire saleing them all over. Also, a million stunned "Johnny Come Lately" idiot new miners with too much money bought massive amounts of S9's and L3+'s to set up mining farms for the "easy money". I've been around since 2013, and in my opinion mining profits are CRAZY HIGH at the moment.
About a year ago, you could pull in ~$1 per day with an RX 470. And now you are pulling in about triple that amount.
These types of profitability are unheard of and won't last long term.
Back in Dec 2014, an R9 280X (which was equivalent to a 1070 today) was making like $0.25/day. That's what I consider terrible earnings.
Still profit though, I’d honestly probably keep my cards cranking even if they were earning $0.01/day as long as I have the power overhead for them. 350 what nah bro , i had a farm of 280x cards 1600 watta from the wall for six cards mining scrypt closer to 280 watts per card lol, but yeah it was bad lol |

so how do you solve the problem where the cards start at 44mhs then after around 10 to 30 mins they settle in at 39 mhs for vega 56 flashed to 64 and 37.5 mhs for my two frontier cards?
im running 1100 mem and 1200 core on all card, aug block chain

got 12 x Vega64 (2rigs) mining ETH steady and stable at 44+MH/s
bought 2 Vega FE for trials, using the same settings as the 64s I'm getting 42+MH/s (im testing running 4 simultaneous threads on cryptonight, but thats a different can of worms)
any suggestions or thoughts as to why the FE is 4.5% slower? and how to rectify?

i bought my pc for 850 and it has a 1070
thinking about selling the 1070 for $600 then getting 2 1080tis for $900 or $1800 for both then -$600 2 tis for $1200
do the 1080tis have 2 8 pin connectors on them or are they just like my 1070?
I think im going to get the blower style, they stay cool.
when I put the dual fan rx 580 I was surprised on how hot it got around the card, it was causing my 1070 to go to 80c
blower fans are good in cases since they vent heat out, rx 580s run much hotter than 1070s you have to lower core to like 1100 and undervolt memory and core to say 900 before they become efficient and bearably cool. Stock 580s will pull as high as 180 watts or more |

Yep. Same here. The first few shortages, I got all excited and sold my cards for more than I purchased them for. Then re-bought when prices returned to normal. It’s such a hassle and you lose the mining time. Mine till they die! Yup , lost a paypal account dealing with a few returns, just not worth it and I still eventually had to replace my cards anyways and lost mining time like you said. Plus if a card has run well enough to be sold as new for a year it would most like likely keep running for 5 years. you cant sell the lemon cards cuz they will be returned so why sell the good ones. mine till they die I agree ☝️ |

Interesting thought. Possible, but I sort of doubt Bitmain has any interest in developing the project. SIA only has real value as a cloud storage project. I doubt that they have capability even,,,, no dev team or interest. What a fuster cluck. Remember, Bitmian's current darling project is Sophon. What is Sophon? Sophon is an AI based protocol. What does AI use the most of? Data. Lots of it. What does Sia do? Decentralized data. These coins are like shares in a company. Control the shares and you control the company, Think about it. Maybe not so far fetched. thats scary to think, if they succeed in forcing out the current dev team with all the $$ they have from selling worthless heaters and mining with the heaters for months before they sell them they could easily fund a new dev team of thier own. So on siamining.com it shows 1.35 SC per GH/day. = 1100 x .04 cents = 44.01 per day. Two S9's make about that too I guess :-)
And that profit level will drop even more. It is however not dropping as fast as the first couple days. WOW. I knew it would happen, but I didn't think it was going to be that quick.
Be happy though, as long as you are higher than 20 dollars like an S9 is bringing in, you are still ahead of the game. That is 0.7 SC per GH/Day.
Or hold onto your SC and become a millionaire when its worth more than 4 cents.

New batch of A3's being released today? Yes says Bitmain but "All confirmed orders in this batch will start shipping after 15 March 2018". So 50 days left to mine before they get fired up? As long as profit stays over 40 a day we should have ROI by then I REALLY doubt ROI is over 40 a day by then. Bitmain's own mining activity would have crushed ROI. fxxxing BITMAIN mining for their own shit with bunch of their A3s Crushing their clients profit. I have close connect to one of the biggest hardware distributors in North America.
I deal with Canadian office. But they huge in usa.
B2b only. No retail sales.
Here what happened with prices just last 3 weeks.
Rx570 they had for 342cad and order would take 21 business days.
I ve seen in a week price was 400. Then 402. Then recently 442. Today price was 416..
I dont convince myself 442 plus tax is worth it. I could consider 300-350 price range at max.
They got 500 cards delivered and sold imemdiatelly.
Now the order is 1100 cards.
Who are these people who buy cards for 500 bucks havěng 2dollars profit from each. Its a long time even to break in.
100% when money will be returned. New cards and algos will ve in. So again. Why people buying is beyond my understanding.
its the Envion and the other cloud mining ICO's that received over 50 million USD from idiots who are paying these conglomerates to compete with them. smh These companies got basically free money to invest in mining so they dont care what they pay they dont mine to pay $100 extra per gpu and buy thousands at a time blame these ICO supporting idiots |
