1341  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 2 in 1 question about mining and operate a crypto wallet. on: June 26, 2023, 11:19:44 AM
Never heard that there is someone being hacked by connecting to your own router and internet. By default, the router is set to a high-security firewall.
So it is safe than connecting to public wifi unless there is someone who is also connected on the same router and has permission to your device then he can retrieve data from your device or without permission maybe he can able to brute force and retrieve data from your device.
1342  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Marketplace to sell gift cards with bitcoin with low fees on: June 26, 2023, 07:08:48 AM

i'm already registered but i think to be a seller you must have an LTD or an LLC not sure , i just remember that i didn't fit the requirements(sadly)

Are you verified? It requires KYC and it looks like they also ask for business verification that requires some documents listed in this link below.

If you can provide those documents there you can be a seller.
1343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you only have a receiving address pay send bitcoin? on: June 25, 2023, 11:53:13 PM
That's the problem with using safepal wallet they don't have yet Coin control feature so if you received many transactions into your Safepal wallet and made a transaction all of your BTC will be sent to where you want to send it and to your changed address if available but it looks like they don't also have this feature so the change would send back to your wallet address.

Another problem is this wallet does not support other wallets like Electrum the guide shared by bitmover should be useful if Safepal support it.
What you can only do if you want a coin control feature is to export the private key from Safepal and then import it to Electrum.
1344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that if you bounce bitcoin back and forth to different wallets on: June 25, 2023, 11:34:38 PM
Not all transactions that you made even if you have 100 different wallets they recorded on the blockchain explorers but it would increase your privacy if you split the amount into different addresses. Meaning it's hard for them to know if you still own the wallet addresses where you sent BTC but it is still traceable.
1345  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase: I can't withdraw my funds via PayPal on: June 24, 2023, 04:30:53 PM
If this is the case then they should give another note or requirements to ask their users but in OP's case looks like it isnt.

@OP try to message them in weekdays if they will give a useful response.
If I'm right he is the same person who made a topic on reddit a few hours ago from this link below he already got a response from Coinbase support but the OP can't provide a Case ID to follow up his case.

1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please Help! New Bitcoin Core node user - Getting fatal error when restarting on: June 24, 2023, 03:10:22 PM
Based on the logs provided by Cricktor above it seems you didn't close or shut down the Bitcoin core properly which cause some of your Bitcoin core data on an external drive to become corrupted.

-reindex might fix this issue the easy way to run this flag alternatively from the suggestion above is by adding -reindex on the Bitcoin core shortcut properties you can check the image below where you can add the -reindex.

Is there another way to know if Bitcoin Core is really shut down? Should I be inspecting my task manager to make sure?.

Yes, it would be better check the task manager if bitcoin core daemon still running on the background you might need to use bitcoin-cli stop command to properly shut down your node.

And to know if it's properly shut down you will need to use this command below

Code:
bitcoin-cli getblockchaininfo
1347  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: WIFI on Antminer S5 on: June 24, 2023, 02:40:55 PM
Will running WIFI on an Antminer S5 cause a decrease bitcoin production? I was looking at using a Linksys EA3500-NP configured as a wireless bridge.
Unstable wifi can cause the miner to stop mining but if you can keep it stable and low ping then it won't affect your mining shares.

About the Linksys EA3500-NP, it looks like a router but if it supports a wireless bridge then you can connect it through wifi.
Why did you choose this router instead of buying wifi extender with an ethernet port?
1348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase: I can't withdraw my funds via PayPal on: June 24, 2023, 01:24:07 PM
It seems that you're not the only one who had some issues using Coinbase over the past few days check this Reddit post below

It seems they become more strict in regulating users after being sued by SEC. So I think this is just their security procedure to follow the SEC rules and regulations.
1349  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Old Electrum wallet - 3.0.6 on: June 24, 2023, 12:35:51 PM
I suggest instead of upgrading it to the latest version without removing the old version better uninstall this old Electrum and delete all Electrum folders and files in appdata and after that do what they suggested above download the latest version and then verify GPG before you install.

I just suggested it to avoid some error or corruption issues it sometimes happens when your Electrum version is too old and then upgraded to the newest version but before you do it make sure you already have a backup seed.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin wallet (Beta) - importing wallet Serious problem. on: June 24, 2023, 12:04:36 AM

I appreciate your response. Just to clarify, the legacy addresses in the Bitcoin wallet app are functioning correctly. I have verified this by cross-checking them with the results from the tool, and they match perfectly.

However, the issue arises with the segwit addresses (starting with "bc1q"). Unfortunately, these segwit addresses do not align between the Bitcoin wallet app and the tool. This becomes significant as the funds are currently held in these segwit addresses.

If there are any further insights or suggestions you can provide to help resolve this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.

Ok, So what you want to recover is the native segwit that starts with "bc1q".
Have you ever tried other ways to decrypt the backup file you can maybe able to decrypt it that only includes a private key?

Here's the method that I want you to try "[HOW-TO] Export Bitcoin private keys (in WIF) from Bitcoin Android (schildbach)"
This method only dumps private keys after decrypting the wallet backup from OpenSSL.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin wallet (Beta) - importing wallet Serious problem. on: June 23, 2023, 11:33:10 PM

I was able to get the correct seed ( 12 words) and I have tested using ian tool for BIP39 and it works and it shows the correct addresses for Legacy but not for the segwit (bc1q)

Have you checked the derivation path on the Iancoleman tool under "BIP32 Derivation Path" that's the correct derivation path that you need to use when importing the BIP39 seed into Electrum to get the correct legacy wallet.

Also, in derived addresses on the left side, it should show the path of your BTC address and what derivation path your BTC address belongs. Look at the image below as a reference

Or alternatively, export the private key since you said you get the correct wallet using iancoleman then export the private key from that tool and import it to Electrum. Make sure that you use this tool on an offline PC or else it's not safe anymore to reuse that wallet.

1352  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Promotion methods. Dark & Bitcointalk? on: June 23, 2023, 04:31:06 PM
Don't compare the forum and the dark web because you can only access the dark web through the Tor browser while this forum can access in any browser another thing is if you are going to promote your exchange on the dark web it is not the same as this forum that can be index to any SERP(like Bing and Google) meaning only a few people can find your business because only limited people can access your exchange.

What's your purpose why did you like to promote the exchange on the dark web? Is it illegal?
The only reason that I think why you want to promote it on the dark web is because you don't want to involve in government policies.
1353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Neo and Atomic wallet : how can I move the neo or swap for btc ? on: June 22, 2023, 11:49:41 PM

I don't have step 3 "Select Neo Legacy and click Next"  Huh
If you can't find the legacy option it seems they already delisted it according to this link below you will need to export the private key and import to another wallet that still support NEO legacy.

I suggest try to import it to Neon wallet developed by City of Zion they have option there to migrate it to N3 once you've done to migrate you can send it to any exchange where you can trade it into BTC.

1354  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Looking for Antminer S19 90T firmware (or Antminer S20 firmware?) on: June 20, 2023, 11:44:57 PM
Did you ever find a fix for this, i just updated my s19 90T and the exact same thing has happened to me - tried all the firmwares, and sd cards and i am getting the same error

nand: WARNING: pl35x-nand: the ECC used on your system is too weak compared to the one required by the NAND chip Bad block table found at page 131008, version 0x01 Bad block table found at page 130944, version 0x01

if anyone found a fix to this i would appreciate it, thanks
It's just a warning but I don't think that's the cause of your issue would you mind posting the whole kernel logs here just don't forget to paste it inside the insert code tag just like the other post above because there might be other errors that cause this?

Anyway, I have a suggestion that you can try do you mind to try to boot Braiins OS to your unit? Sometimes other OS can bypass this issue.
1355  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: For how long on: June 20, 2023, 05:28:39 PM
No one knows when unless ASIC miner manufacturers announce a new miner unlike before they keep releasing new Bitcoin ASIC miners.

However, they are still manufacturing other ASIC miners for altcoin. If you want a tool that lists all new miners with release dates then check this tool below.

Then sort them by clicking "release" to see new miners including the upcoming release of new miners.
1356  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory wallet question on: June 20, 2023, 04:40:16 PM
Take note there is a warning on SourceForge that TrueCrypt has a security issue meaning it's not a secured virtual disk check the warning below.

WARNING: Using TrueCrypt is not secure as it may contain unfixed security issues

So even if you move your wallet there and turn it offline if you are using your PC online there is still a possibility it would compromise your wallet so better move the wallet to another PC/Laptop which is completely offline.
1357  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Recommended chip temperature - Antminer 17 serie? on: June 20, 2023, 07:45:27 AM

Mind sharing where you got those numbers from? I am almost certain that no Antminer 17 series miner could run for over an hour at anything near 110-120c, let alone 135c.
Honestly, I don't have a source it only came to my mind because maybe they are similar to S9 Chips that have 135 max temps.

However, I recently realized after checking the Skot project called Bitaxe that the max temp shouldn't be more than 90c my reference is the temp he share on his Twitter, The PCB temp and the Braiins auto mode dangerous temp.
I couldn't find any data so this is just my own guess collected from other user's posts.
1358  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem with my electrum wallet on: June 20, 2023, 06:32:26 AM
Thank you for your prompt response ! I did everything, use the server manually, use the seed, use with or without electrum, nothing happens, I'm exhausted and I'm angry. please help me

Sometimes the ISP/router is the cause of this problem due to the firewall you might need to disable the firewall of your router to fix this issue if not then try to use a VPN or if you already using VPN try to turn off VPN and try again.
If it still doesn't work try to change your PC DNS(Google or Cloudflare DNS) and try again.

You have a similar issue on Electrum Github posted years ago you can read them here "The server returned an error when broadcasting the transaction"

If all suggestions do not work you can broadcast the transaction manually to do that you need to copy the raw/hex transaction from your Electrum wallet and broadcast them to any PushTX site listed from the link below

1359  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: The paranoid user's security guide for using Electrum safely. on: June 20, 2023, 12:36:56 AM
is it unsafe if I used Windows 7?

Yes because the security patch of Windows 7 is outdated and ended support by Microsoft 3 years ago and Electrum's latest version no longer supports Windows 7 since the release of version 4.2.0.
It's not safe if you stay using Windows 7 so to ensure you are safe use the latest Electrum and better upgrade to Windows 10 and follow all suggestions from the OP.
1360  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question from a newbie - raising $100 in BTC for charity on: June 19, 2023, 11:53:23 PM
If you just doing it for fun while giving service to someone who hires you then you're so kind.

If you are looking for a job or business that looking for someone who can promote or advertise their business why not try the services section you can maybe find someone there who can hire your service. Check the section below and create a new thread that includes your service
