1342  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 10, 2023, 09:53:28 PM
There's only one thing to do really when you reach Financial Stability. Enjoy your life to the fullest.

I see people here talking about working more, investing more and all that, and to that I applaud you, and support you and all that stuff but beyond an idealistic perspective, every one's dream here (except if you're a chronic workaholic which I doubt) is to find ways to enjoy your life instead of sitting in front of your computer everyday working your ass off for peanuts. Investing more is fine as well, but you gotta keep in mind that this life you had is only gonna happen once, and prudence is great cause it sets you up for success as well as the family that you will leave when you pass on but then again, investing doesn't take too much of your time, so you can still go out there and do stuff you really want!
1343  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 10, 2023, 08:10:44 PM
Here is my tomato farm
~~~~
Step-By-Step Guide on how to start tomato farming
👉👉Land preparation: Select a suitable piece of land and clear it of all debris, rocks, and weeds. Then, plow, harrow, and level the land.[
Shows the land full of rock, construction debris, and plastic:
While it's not a pleasing thing to look at, I think it's not gonna do so much against the growth of his tomatoes since Tomatoes aren't that high-maintenance when it comes to soil quality and such compared to other types of crops. Although it wouldn't hurt OP to do a little sweeping yeah lmao. Cleaning your area's just as important as keeping the nutrition on the soil after all. It's funny that you had to point it out though lmao.
Anyways, Agriculture is a good thing if done smartly. Otherwise it would be a waste of time and resources. Invest in proper tools, resources, knowledges, and varieties of crops and vegetables if you want a sustainable farm since different crops take up varying amounts of nutrients in the land, and if you abuse the land's resources it's going to dry it up and will render it unable to produce crops anymore.
1344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My personal savings now I will invest in Bitcoin on: July 10, 2023, 07:37:26 PM
I have been thinking about trading in Bitcoin for quite some time now. I have been involved with Bitcoin for a long time but am still thinking about investing here. I used to run DPS in bank for 30 dollars per month for 5 years, this DPS will complete 5 years this month. I'll get roughly $1800, I don't think it's much of a savings to keep that money in the bank. Bangladesh is suffering from severe dollar crisis due to which many banks are likely to go bankrupt. The names of those banks have not yet been published by any mass media. Because of the economic condition of Bangladesh, I want to invest my money in Bitcoin. I still don't understand if my decision is right, please let me know your opinion
Way to go actually! Really pays you to listen to the news sometimes.
In any case I'd highly suggest you liquidate some of that money you got into your emergency funds if you have any, and then the rest can be saved into bitcoin. That way you'd have money you can play around with should things worsen in Bangladesh without having to touch your bitcoin investments yeah? I'm thinking you should also look into investing into other forms of assets like real estate, that way you can diversify your portfolio and maximize your profits while minimizing your potential losses. As we all know bitcoin's great for long-term investment but if you're looking into short-term profits it's not really the best one out there no thanks to its high volatility rate, so following these advices will surely give you the best chance at claiming profits even if Bangladesh's situation worsens.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 10, 2023, 06:39:08 PM
Can you explain me why i need to learned gambling?
Simply put, here only millions of money are managed by asset owners, so where i have no money. In fact, i have ideas about gambling, but I don't have the ability to spend money there.
First off, no one's saying that you should learn how to gamble to start your cryptocurrency journey. As a matter of fact a lot of us here go against it cause eventually you newbies will see crypto gambling as some form of profitable venture which it isn't. Secondly, I'm not sure what the hell you're talking about but I'm going to assume it's all about earning money here in cryptocurrency to which you say you still don't have any (Correct me if I'm wrong guys), I'm not gonna stop you from gambling since you got ideas but at the end of the day, it's not a profitable venture where you'd expect to get more than what you put in. Gambling doesn't work that way my brother in christ.
After reading your post, it's pretty evident that gambling isn't for you op since you are clearly not willing to lose your funds. If you still insist on gambling, you will end up regretting your decision badly.
Majority of the gamblers lose against the house while only the minority win which is a fact due to which you should be prepared to lose all of your funds.
Oh so that's what he meant by that lmao. I thought it was all about him wanting to make use of his gambling ideas or whatnot despite his lack of funds but whatever. you're right. Gambling's not for him.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: July 09, 2023, 09:12:51 PM
I don't think this makes sense lmao. The fact of the matter is that you took up investing under the notion that this will give you the comfortability in life that you so desire. And it's not just hearsay too cause the industry had a history of providing millions of people this comfortability, so I don't understand where "investing isn't going to guarantee you to be rich" is coming from. I mean of course if you don't take this seriously and just frolic around while the rest of us are busy busting our balls in the ringer, you'd never find success in the investing world, but gathering knowledge, experience, and exerting effort (which you should've done in the first place) will almost always give you that opportunity, and I get that there's a margin of risk in investing but if you managed to gauge how far you can go it's almost always success for you.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real?That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 09, 2023, 08:03:38 PM
Hey guys, reading little story on Kylian Mbappe who on Thursday visited Cameroon on a charity with the deaf and other familiarization visit to his father's home town. He spoke with Joseph Dion Ngute, the Cameroon's Prime Minister, he was honoured visiting and I believe this is just like the humanitarian work some influential people do
But one striking revelation was that he would have been a cameroonian player if they weren't asking his father to pay them money before allowing him to play while he still trying to fix his career and French allowed him without payment.
Quote
"At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon, but someone at the Cameroonian Football Federation charged me money that I didn't have to make him play," he explained. " The French charged nothing."
I have also heard of some local stories about how some coaches require money from new footballers before they allow them on trier both in their clubs and national teams. Is this happening globally for new players who are still seeking to find a spot in clubs?
Do you think Cameroun miss Mbappe or it is Mbappe that missed Cameroun ?
https://theafricanhistory.com/2975#:~:text=My%20father
This doesn't just happen in Cameroon, this happens in all of soccer for all I know. The whole football scene is like this and they always victimize young talents that just wanted to play a fair game of soccer but couldn't because either their current roster's marketability is great enough that even if they don't win that much they still could get brand deals and make money off the players, or they just win so many games that changing the roster is going to affect their chances at claiming titles.
Either way it's stupid and there have been contingencies set in case something similar happens, otherwise I don't see why they would take in new talents in the first place.
This game is just stupid sometimes man. It's hard to defend it when even the system's rigged against the player.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: July 09, 2023, 07:21:25 PM
So I came across a video on youtube about someone planning on creating a new type of Olympic games called "the Enhanced Games" to rival the Olympic games. In this version of "Olympic games", performance-enhancement drugs that are usually prohibited to be used by the athletes competing in the Olympic Games will be allowed to be used.
the president of "the Enhanced Games" believes that this competition could unlock the athlete's true potential and will obliterate all the world record that has been set in the Olympic games. from what I have read in an article, they are planning on launching this event next year in December.
now, the reason why I post this here is because since a lot of sports bettors here love sports I am curious about what you guys think about it and whether this would be a new sporting event that will be enjoyed by sports betting enthusiasts.
personally, as a person who likes sports, I am curious about what this new sporting event that allows the usage of performance-enhancement drugs could lead to.
the video I stumbled upon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h49A-2Zv8dA
some articles about the topic
https://apnews.com/article/australia-olympics-enhanced-games-doping-24462bcf8f1f97125a8234bea5723ff3
https://dotesports.com/general/news/the-enhanced-olympics-where-drugs-are-welcome-sounds-like-its-from-a-dystopian-video-game
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/jun/30/the-enhanced-games-a-drugs-olympics-where-cheaters-can-prosper
So basically what they're trying to come up with is a competition where cheating is allowed? That's just dumb. I mean there's a reason why doping is not allowed in the official olympic games, and now they're creating a similar competition with all these participants cooked up on steroids? This will literally signal a wave of teenagers that are doused on tren thinking they could get into the olympics if they take up performance-enhancing drugs, which by the way could be dangerous for the athlete if not done in moderate doses, which I doubt will be imposed anyway cause you're basically allowing your athletes to cheat the game at this point. I don't see this competition ever getting the same amount of respect or acclaim that the international olympics receive, not only is it ridiculous, it's also endangering the athlete's welfare by allowing them to partake in these unhealthy practices for the sake of getting some semblance of competitive advantage.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 06:30:10 PM
I wish I could have posted this in a more better place but since the thoughts came from gambling addiction, I thought it wise to ask this question over here and I hope we can discuss and get this straight.
Just as the tittle already ask, I really want to know if people who are successful in gambling also seen as addicts because I believe  for one to be successful in gambling or whatever they choose to do, there must be some good amount  of time and effort invested in it as well as money and we know that a successful  gambler must have invested  both time, effort and even money to make any reasonable  winning  and these also are features of an addict as there are always excessive time spent on a betting site.
Now let's be sincere, will you also classify a successful gambler as an addict?
There's a margin of gamblers in the competitive scene that could be considered addicts if you'll ask me. Some of them go on gambling sprees that takes them until sunrise, and only get away with such unhealthy behaviors because they are winning and they know how to play the game. These people, just as much as the guys who lost so much from gambling, need help and intervention so they can get rid of the constant need to gamble. This is for those that are successful in the competitive scene.
For casual gamblers who bagged massive wins in one of their gambling sessions, I don't think throwing the "addicted" title willy-nilly is fair now is it. Just cause you won something big doesn't mean you're addicted to gambling. There has to be something indicative of it, like him gambling for straight weeks on end without fail in hopes of getting that bag, or something else.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 08, 2023, 09:00:01 PM
There are alot of persons out there who so wish to seize this very opportunity  to accumulate  and hodl more of bitcoin  but have no mean(money) to do so and this has been one of the major reasons to why people aren't hodling for now.
At some point,  some persons who even participate in signature  campaigns and earn bitcoin  without having to buy directly, who should have been the most persons to have some good figures in their portfolios still aren't having any because most of them either withdraw this earnings to fiat to be able to make ends meet or withdraw it to solve some issues but whatever the case be, alot of persons aren't hodling currently now not because they are ignorant  or even procrastinating but I believe  one of the major reason is because they don't have to means to invest.
And if you'll  agree with me that as a bitcoin enthusiast, we at some point believe  that after bitcoin  leaves this mess of instability,  then it should be aiming  for an all time high and no one would possibly  want to miss out of this intentionally if they have the means to buy.
Now I want to know what really do you think is holding people back for hodling this period?
Please try to answer the poll and I hope to update the thread with result of the thread after getting enough results, possibly after the 5th page.
I wouldn't be so sure about throwing the ignorant card willy-nilly my friend. truth be told a lot of people in here are depending on the signature campaign payments for their daily sustenance, and you can't really blame them for doing so. The pay is great, there's no drawbacks to it, and with enough consistency you'd go far. There's so much more than just "ignorance" that comes into play when you talk about people who are not holding their assets. FUD, necessities, market situation, and a lot more are at play and I'd say it's much better than risking your investments over something that is as trivial as holding your bitcoins. In the first place it doesn't make you any less of an investor, you're just gauging your capacity is all.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Knowledgeable before Bitcoin investment is very Good on: July 08, 2023, 08:31:12 PM
I came across a post made on this forum by someone that says he has $20k for investment as such he was looking for people to advice him on how to go about it, for me it was actually a bad idea consorting everyone for investment advice because you could be lured by scammers to invest on a shitcoin as such loosing all your money because of lack of knowledge about Bitcoin or any investment in general, as someone that has no idea on investment I think the first thing was research google to learn more and also the risk involves. so I was thrilled to create this topic, so everyone could help by sharing there own knowledge on what someone that has no knowledge about investment should no before venturing into.
I may not be the right person for investment advice that's why I'm asking everyone to share their advice, views and knowledge incase something like this should come up, so people could learn and no what must be done before going into investment.
While you are right about the fact that you're susceptible to getting screwed over when you ask other people for advice. It's pretty obvious too, like, in a sea of people telling you to diversify your portfolio among bitcoin, litecoin, or whatever the fuck is the hottest cryptocurrency today, and then all of a sudden you see one guy recommending shitcoin5000 which is a "booming project with 400X profit potential" I mean at that point it's pretty obvious that it's a blatant scam yeah?
so while I still advocate for acquiring knowledge first before investing in bitcoin, it doesn't hurt to ask for people's advices too, it's all a matter of finding which people to trust and which ones to avoid, and with the merit system in this forum being a good indicator of this, you can't go wrong!
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 08, 2023, 07:25:16 PM
Over the years and through the various cases I've seen on TV, I've come to the conclusion that when lottery winners buy tickets they don't count on the fact that they're going to win someday, that's why when most people win a lot of money in the lottery they don't have any plans of what they will do with the money, soon they spend it on meaningless things and end up going bankrupt early, and since they were already very poor people, they don't care about being poor again, while for cases of people who play card games , or sports betting they have no idea what to do with the money they won, of course there are many cases of people who consider themselves gurus of blackjack and other card games
that when they're winning a lot they don't stop playing because they're very self-confident and they're playing thinking they're not going to lose money and with that they lose everything and are removed by the casino security guards, and when they play on the internet they also only stop playing when they lose everything. It's a very sad situation, in the case of sports bettors, many guys with experience don't even bet much anymore, they keep giving tips and making money with their social networks, and it's a fact that you don't earn money with gambling consistently, and they are also few people who know how to manage money when they play
It's not about them anticipating that they won't win anyway, cause if that was the case then lottery is going to be a dead game. It was all about the fundamental aspects of earning and saving money which most people who win lotteries don't have since a lot of them grew to poverty, and as we all know when you're poor you're not really in the position to learn how to save money especially if there's no money to be saved in the first place. Although I would agree with your idea of them not being afraid of getting into poverty again thinking either "I've been poor once so this is nothing new" or "I've been poor once and rich too, I now know what to do to get back to being rich" without really having any idea on how to be rich.
That's the sad fact about winning the lottery. You get the tools but you don't know how to use them. You get the leverage you need to win at life but you'd waste it away cause all you see money for is spending. Having a rich man's mindset is important, cause whether you're poor or not if you know how to be rich you will get rich.
1353  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some poker terminologies you may want to know on: July 08, 2023, 06:48:26 PM
Poker is a different kind of card game used mostly in casinos for gambling and unlike other gambling games it requires one to be very skillful, it's a game that needs more of skills than luck and to win and earn money, you ough to be the best at the game. In poker they call it bluffing your opponet or winning the best hand, there are other poker terminologies you may want to know, such as
Tilt - to play wild or recklessly.
Bad Beat - it's a term for badluck in poker.
Trips- When three cards looks similar it's called trips.
Quads - four cards of a kind.
Overcard - a card that's higher than any other on the board.
Acton- Action refers to a plays turn to play.
Hand - it's a set of 5 playing cards.
Ante- it I'd the minimum amount of action that's allowed to participate in a hand.
Belly Buster- a term used for inside straight draw or otherwise called gutshot
Big Blinds - It's used as a measurement of stack sizes and bet sizes in poker.
Ammo - When you’re out of ammo, it means you no longer have chips.
Arsenal - it's a term that's used to describe a players skills and style of play.
Brick- Used to describe a card that doesn’t complete any possible draws and is of no relevance to a current hand.
Pot - The pot is a sum of money that players wager during a game or single hand.
BloodBath - it is Sometimes used by poker commentators to describe a situation where two or more players are about to get involved in a huge pot.
Computer Hand - it is A nickname for the starting hand Q7o.
Cowboys - it is a nickname for pocket kings (KK) that’s used by both players and poker commentators.
Dolly Paton - Nickname for any starting hand combo containing a 9 and a 5, the name originates from the famous song “9 to 5” performed by Dolly Parton. You might also hear it being called a “full-time job”.
Donkey - someone who's not very good in playing poker is referred to as a donkey.
Fist Pump - it is a motion used to celebrate winning a pot or another positive outcome at a table.
Dirty Stack - Describes a chip stack that contains a random number of different denomination chips, all mixed together.
Grappers - The term “gapper” is used to describe hole cards that have the potential to make straights (connectors).
GG - it is an abbreviation of a good game, often used online to express gratitude for a good match, it can also be used ironically to make fun of weaker players or when someone makes a very bad play.
https://edge.twinspires.com/poker/terms/
https://www.888poker.com/magazine/poker-terms#:~:text=Barrel%20%E2%80%93%20Refers%20to%20making%20a,as%20%E2%80%9Cinside%20straight%20draw%E2%80%9D.
 Poker is a very interesting game and quite easy to understand and the player with the highest card of 5 scores wins, it's said to be more easier than chess game and the more you play the more skillful you get when you understand the rules and it's terminologies, there are many here that might love poker game, you can drop more poker terms if you know any.
You'll notice that most poker terms are related with military terms however some experts might think it was originated from the military, though i dont take that as a fact
I love this. I've been trying to get into poker (well I started with chinese poker which I grew tired of eventually) and I'm having a hard time looking up terminologies that most of the people I watch play are blabbering about. I'm not about to ask them what they mean when they say gappers or whatnot (and it's not like they use it all the time too just in certain occasions) so it's actually nice that you made something like this right in the forum too.
Now, only thing left to do is to understand poker fundamentally lmao. which even though I've played for quite a while now, I still find myself discovering things every now and again which you wouldn't really expect for a game that's been here since the ancient times but yeah, It's really cool sometimes. Anyway, thank you!
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 08, 2023, 06:20:25 PM
Yeah right. Right mindset will get you far. But do you know what will get you even further? Actuating upon that right mindset. And what does that require? actually doing the stuff that you dream of. I see a lot of people preach about hustle culture in here and talk about how to save your earnings from gambling like it's some form of profit venture even though it shouldn't be in the first place. The fact of the matter is, all gamblers, well except those who have made it a form of living and only cause they were fucking good at it too, eventually lose all their money because gambling is a net-loss venture. You don't come into the industry with a head up high like you're some sort of used car salesman thinking you could cheat the system and win. You come in here to have fun and with full expectation that you'd lose, and that's alright.
People who see this venture as a way to get more money are fools I tell you that. No matter how much "sigma grindset youtube content" you eat up.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attracted you to gambling?Share your experience whether good/bad. on: July 08, 2023, 05:53:55 PM
Those who are experts in gambling would tell you that you're not guaranteed a 100% success rate no matter how skilled or how well you might cliam to have studied the game even though you're a sports Analyst or well informed in a particular sports, gambling has it risks and rewards and most times the risk is greater than the reward, I'll say it's on a ratio of 60:40 that's 60% loss compared to a 40% in winnings, most people newly introduced to sports betting have had several trials yielding losses before they attain jackpot, but it varies because some people are very lucky when it comes to gambling.
  About yesterday I came across a friend looking so depressed and sad and tried to interrogate with him then he said he felt like giving up in life and i asked why, he said he used about 80% of his savings to stake on a particular football game and lost, I felt so pity for him and had to encourage him with some advices.
  Though I've had losses in gambling but I've never had such a sad one like he's, I was introduced to gambling by a coursemate in college who won a jackpot, thought I lost in my first three trials but played again and won about 80k in my local currency, there are people that's made millions through gambling and some others are yet to win but still find it difficult to quit, share your experience if you have any whether good or bad, cause I believe there are people here who would learn from it.
Boredom really. It was in the middle of the lockdown and everything is not available, you can't even go out to spend your money elsewhere even if you wanted to. Then in a second a couple of my friends recommended that we try some online casinos and compare wins which itself will be some form of competition too, with wagers on it of course. So the highest person who gets the most wins in a month or so gets to bag the first place and a cash prize, second gets it, third, and so on. All of a sudden I just found myself gambling a lot which I realize wasn't good. I'm not even gambling for profit, I just gamble cause I wanted to be in on what the squad was doing. That's until I saw a post here made by someone who emphasized the need to control yourself and gamble responsibly. From then on I made it a point to only gamble occasionally and all that stuff.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A qualified strategy exist in gambling?If yes, come and talk. on: July 07, 2023, 08:41:02 PM
I don't get you. A strategy to beat the casino? Red or black? You don't know what you're talking about.
Eddie, the boss of stake.com, this dude has nothing ten years ago. Now, he bought two mansions over 115 million australian dollars in last two years. This fucking kid put the right bet on the super right time. He wins.
I don't know the specific story, but if he got rich it wasn't by gambling in the casino, it was by setting up a casino, by being the owner. He may have had a stroke of luck and took advantage of the money he won to invest in setting it up instead of what the rest of the gamblers tend to do, which is to continue gambling and lose everything and more.
Exactly man I was so confused about what OP was talking about. Do we beat the house? Do we prove that the house can't be beat? I am at a loss. Do we prove that our lives can be changed with what we win with our gambling money? I don't understand what he's talking about.
But I digress, no true strategy for consistently beating a house exists cause if it does gambling wouldn't even be a big industry nowadays if every bloke out there with a fast enough internet could just go around it and find a strat that would work for their stupidass.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: July 07, 2023, 05:00:21 PM
I see a strong case of addictions in ops behavior because no normal gambker will go all in since the is nothing like sure bet so why then will anyone want to risk it.
I am sure that turning the $1000 into 10,000 was so easy for rhe ops to jave gone all in and at the end lost the bet, but alsoe far more the risk associated with higher wagerer because at some oiint this all contribute to the outcome of the game.
I wouldn't be so sure about pulling the addiction card too early. He's a dedicated gambler and I for sure think he's gambling with a goal in mind and not just for profit. I saw a previous post of his where he's shooting for a million dollar win, so with that being said it makes sense that he's making these bets that's a little unconventional to say the least. Just cause you're gambling high amounts doesn't necessarily mean that you're addicted to gambling, and inversely just cause you have a deep bankroll that you're not burning through doesn't necessarily mean that you're not addicted to gambling. As with NAPK1NS he has a goal that he's trying to push through, he probably knows his limits and is just making this post out of the frustration one feels when their goal's a little too hard to attain.
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 07, 2023, 04:20:25 PM
It's either I gamble every other week, or I gamble only when I really feel like it. No in betweens. I used to gamble religiously back in the day and I find that I'm slowly succumbing to addiction all because it's slowly becoming a bigger part of my life than how I wished it could be. So I stopped for a whole year and only came back to gambling when I felt that I'm not gonna be subject to such deteriorating behaviors anymore. It helped a lot actually.
Remember, I'm not a gambling addict, I gamble what I have it's not mean I gamble anything I have. I make sure only gamble when I can afford to lose and it will not cause a harm to my life.
Being a gambling addicts is not a guarantee that could mean you will definitely win because of that, it may even be the reason why you may always appear far away from winning at this cause, this will call for more of the understanding of gambling than being addicted without anything to show after.
Being a gambling addict will only give you problems, especially if you can't control yourself. And if we can avoid becoming gambling addicts, we try to always protect ourselves from the temptations given by casinos because we know that once we are tempted, it will be difficult to let go.
Moreover, being addicted to gambling will always follow a person until that person finally loses control of himself. It's better to gamble with what we can afford to lose so it won't endanger our lives.
one thing for sure is that once we can not control ourselves in gambling then we called ourself as an addict that every single day we need to gamble in order to fulfill our wants. That's why in every bet we made, we must make sure that we can handle ourself In order to get addicted. That's why in the world of gambling we must take care of our ourself and have a discipline.
You could say that it's a good sign that you're slowly going too far, and that if you keep at it you're definitely going to be addicted to gambling. Fulfilling our wants is a little broad too, people who are addicted to gambling do so because they have a motive that's beyond want, they see gambling as an end-all-be-all solution to whatever they are having problems with.
If a friend of mine that’s a gambler call me a addicted gambler, I won’t be angry, but if it’s just a friend tag that those not not gamble, then it’s a insult and I will be angry, why will you call me addicted gambler in public, it those not make any sense, why will you call me a addicted gambler in public, that means you are trying to insult me in public. If a gambler like me calls me the name, then I will see it as a normal thing.
Lmao I don't understand where you're trying to go with this example but I guess you have a point, being called out in public isn't nice but then again sometimes it takes public humiliation for you to realize that something's wrong with your behavior, especially if you yourself is a little on the stubborn side and wouldn't be expected to listen to your friend's advices even if your life depended on it.
In my society, if they see that you are a gambler, they see you as a bad influence, or a bad person, if you are a gambler, it’s better you keep it to yourself and don’t expose yourself to the public, because immediately people know that you are a gambler, then they will stop associating themselves from you.
I don't think that's how it works my friend. The question revolves around whether you're going to be offended if someone intervened with you. This is provided that people already knew you were a gambler in the first place. Additionally, there's a reason why gambling earns its negative reputation amongst the public, you can't blame them for thinking that some gamblers are gone for good cause at the end of the day, that is the truth in this industry.
This is from eSport Dota 2 game that happened 24 hours ago.
Though no official reason was given, BetBoom’s Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko was found out to be alt-tabbing during a paused game, pulling up another stream — reportedly Aleksandr “Nix” Levin’s, who was broadcasting the Bali Major.
BetBoom Vs Tundra = Winner yesterday is Betboom
After 24 hours, they defaulted to a loss for Betboom.
I think the reason is one of the players of BetBoom was caught cheating, but the game already settled in most gambling platforms.
My question here is, what will happen to gambling platforms who already settled the bets?
Should they revert back to the winnings and losses of their users? What will happen to the losers and winners of that game to the bet?
I can see there are some platforms that already deducted the winning of some person from their balance.
The most logical path here is to just get it on with, and refund the wins of the players who made a bet to Betboom and give it to Tundra, although of course, there would be issues that would come around considering that they already made the bet. I'm not sure as to what would happen or what other casinos would do in this type of situation, but I'm guessing it's either of these two choices:
1. They give both parties the win, in which case everyone would be happy but the casino would suffer immediate losses which they can probably gain anyway in a day or two, a whole week if they are unlucky.
2. They don't do anything and carry on with their lives, in that case people will definitely bang on their door to do something especially those who made bets to Tundra since they deserve the win in a sense.
Among these choices the best one would be the former, except for the temporary losses they could recuperate anyway especially if they are a reputable casino, this act of honesty and integrity could paint them in a great light to gamblers, resulting to more revenue for them as these people will surely recommend the casino to their peers.
