1341  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I want to exchange BTC to Qiwi rub, Sberbank rub on: May 11, 2022, 04:05:47 AM
I'm assuming you have an account in one of those banks and have checked their current state just in case, you may try BISQ.network or localcryptos.com

I thought i should mention we have a russian local board, see: Русский (Russian)

and that the blocking of accounts will occur on May 31

One way or the other, it seems some accounts will be restricted/blocked on the same date. There have been reports that some people who coinbase suspects to be covered by the recent sanctions have received an ultimatum and they have before May 31 to decide as well.

I received this email today saying :

Based on your account records, we believe you are included in these sanctions. To comply, Coinbase will soon be restricting your ability to access your account...

Before May 31, 2022, you need to withdraw all funds from your account or provide us with specific documents to show you are not covered by these sanctions.
Note that you can be falsely flagged, majority of this reddit thread claimed to have nothing to do with russia...

machine translated:
Crypto exchange Coinbase sent out warnings to some users from Russia about blocking accounts from May 31 due to sanctions. To avoid this, it is necessary to provide documents confirming that the owner of the crypto wallet is not subject to EU sanctions. In a…

Per the local business news RBC, the trading platform has given time until May 31 for those users to withdraw their funds. Failing which, crypto assets may be frozen and funds transferred to this account in the future will also be blocked.
1343  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Spanish Cryptocurrency Exchange Bit2me Expands Operations to Brazil on: May 06, 2022, 11:31:02 PM
Is there any user of that platform can talk about it? Fees, personal experience, quick responses from the support team, problem solving.
I tried searching and found that they have an account here[1] (no longer active) and it has been since 2015 without complaints of scam or customer problem.

For this, it's best to seek out help from a spanish speaker as it does look like they appeal to them more.

From what I can see, most of the threads mentioning them (in bitcointalk) are also in spanish local board and so, you may try asking there (unless english posts are not allowed in the board)

Some fairly recent:

Me recomendáis un exchange para vender Bitcoin a final de mes. - 2021
Mover dinero entre bancos y exchanges - 2020
Pido consejo para vender bitcoin - 2020
... etc.
1344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SKAECOIN.COM p2p Marketplace is a SCAM!!! PHOTO EVIDENCE on: May 05, 2022, 10:04:24 PM
Please allow me to direct message you.

Keep in mind that if you wanna transact with a neutral trust member from the forum, you must use a trusted reputable escrow/midman for your safety, see: ₿ LIST ₿ Bitcointalk's ESCROW providers: Ranking & Blacklist ☠ Avoid Scam ☠

Generally, it's advisable to be very cautious in exchanging DMs with strangers as it is a closed conversation, therefore no one is there to point out in case something goes wrong.

If you're looking for a reputable P2P platforms for buying/selling bitcoin, there is

https://localcryptos.com/ (no KYC is stated in their TOS but they technically can impose it)
https://bisq.network/ (no KYC but not beginner friendly)
https://hodlhodl.com/ (may KYC)

Since this is P2P not every trader is legitimate, as always you must DYOR for everything. Exchanges usually have some advices in their support page to prevent scams, I suggest looking for that.
1345  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SKAECOIN.COM p2p Marketplace is a SCAM!!! PHOTO EVIDENCE on: May 05, 2022, 09:22:18 AM
You're being played with OP. They're just trying to draw out the whole situation in order to buy time before they run away and/or so they can get more out of you e.g. more money/personal information. What sort of personal documents did you give them? it might be a good idea to declare a possible identity theft to relevant authorities/companies...

I suggest not to give in to anymore of their request, their words can't be trusted. In the future, stay away from zero reputation services like skaecoin.
1346  Economy / Exchanges / Re: You can now buy bitcoin on telegram messaging app on: May 03, 2022, 07:03:36 AM

Maybe, this is only for convenience purposes for the users.
But if you are dealing with large amount of money, better use CEX or DEX.
We don't know what kind of support also is the telegram giving to its crypto users.
So for now, I guess, this will serve for small transactions and convenience.

With most exchanges having their own app these days, I don't think there's a huge difference of convenience between them in terms of buying bitcoin.

We know most of the groups of people out there are scammers which is why it is not good if you can only find it by searching it and maybe they are more people who will use the same name. Why they don't just add it under the menu or under settings instead to make it look more secure than searching it.

Since this is a bot by a third party team, it's not a readily available option for them. But yeahhh, scammers are most likely cloning the bot now and people will once again miss the blue checkmark.
1347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New crypto arbitrage project/platform on: May 02, 2022, 07:27:36 AM
Consistent 3% daily is too good to be true. It's pretty easy for the person behind to control what you see to make you believe you're actually earning the 3% daily when in reality, it's just made up numbers.

Let me guess, we're talking about a very obscure software/website aren't we?
1348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: You can now buy bitcoin on telegram messaging app on: May 02, 2022, 12:50:05 AM
If we have to KYC anyway, we might as well go to an actual exchange which offers more. Another thing, isn't telegram still relying on SMS 2fa? which makes it bad for anything beyond small amounts given how insecure it is.
1349  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cryptocurrency exchanges on: April 29, 2022, 10:05:37 PM
I wanted to buy about 50 dollars in cryptocurrencies...what platforms would you use and what payment method?

If you're planning on buying in the long run, look into crypto-friendly payment methods. Some banks are hostile towards cryptos and could bring extra trouble for you.

would you use one or more platforms to diversify risk in case of hacking for example

If you're trading a huge amount, yes. Such amounts have higher chances of triggering CEXs suspicious/high risk flag.

Binance gives an advantages which any country currency transfers from your account. There is no problem, no rick, no hacking option because you use strong security to protect your account

Hackers Steal $40.7 Million in Bitcoin From Crypto Exchange Binance

No one is immune to hacking.
1350  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Strike says its free to send money via Lightening - how is that possible? on: April 28, 2022, 08:29:26 PM
What decentralised exchanges would you recommend?
AFAIK the truly decentralized exchanges to buy Bitcoin is Bisq, Localcryptos and Hodl hodl.

Hodlhodl and localcryptos are just websites running on centralized servers and can easily be taken down which means they aren't truly decentralized. IIRC hodlhodl had to issue a statement for misusing the term decentralized lol.
1351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Assistance with withdrawing funds from Stex exchange on: April 28, 2022, 05:03:51 PM
Afaik, exchanges aren't legally required to freeze every russian ppl's funds otherwise every exchange would've been doing the same. I'm not sure if this is just another excuse to bag their users funds or they are actually taking their poop stance seriously. In any case, both are bad.

If you don't mind me asking, how are you gonna help these ppl whose funds are trapped?
1352  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anybody have tried mining in Xasic.io already? It is safe? on: April 27, 2022, 04:12:28 PM
"ah yes, I'm not sure how the pools will perform nor how the mining difficulty will change in the span of 365 days but yes, lemme give you that daily % of guaranteed profit for a year!... and please don't ask why I didn't take the easy route of loaning/selling my assets despite the daily guaranteed % profits"

But I'm not surprised they're paying, these scammers often pay at first and then dump you once they reach a certain threshold, look they just got here.

Even on this forum it is a violation to creat 2 accounts with the same identity, I don't think it is right as well.

Alt accounts are actually fine in the forum as long as you don't use them for any kind of cheating such as ban evasion, sending merits to each other, etc. Message boards and exchanges are two different things, I don't think they're comparable.
1354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: avoid scam telegram groups , find useful tools and channels on: April 25, 2022, 03:53:08 PM
...

Just so you know, it's pretty obvious you are the same person as OP, both of you post in the same uncommon way. Look at the uppercase letters at the start of some words specially on "You"

No, You didn't get me right or Probably Dont want to, just because You got scammed because of some group and You are angry on similar groups

thanks Guys for really great work done, if i knew You before

You find are those scammers, real traders what You have gathered dont ask nothing
1355  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange sign up bonuses - Rewards Centers on: April 24, 2022, 06:28:59 PM
The requirements would depend per promo and exchange which is why you have to read the terms first. These bonuses can be really misleading, you'll be able to get the big picture once you read the terms. If you can't find it, try to look in their support page.

You might find something in the crypto megathreads in r/beermoney. But If I were you I'd avoid every unknown websites on the list. Make sure to research first before jumping in.
1356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: darkstash Marketplace on: April 24, 2022, 11:52:18 AM
i was searching darkweb on facebook and got a page of this community and than i search by myself i dont know this is new i am sorry i am a noob thats why i was here to ask you guys do u know about this website but no one answer me

It's all good OP. If you're confused about anything, you can ask here.

I suspect, you didn't get any reply because you weren't on the right board at first... your thread seems to have been moved by mods. This was in the Marketplace board earlier. On april 22, I vaguely remember visiting that board and I did not see this but maybe I'm just blind lol.

That's not a good way to look for things. If you're looking to buy anything else other than shady stuff, see Where to spend Bitcoin?. Ofc, not every merchant listed is legitimate but it's a lot better than facebook. For reputation check, you can make use of the forum.

I have a strange impression that this is an attempt to advertise a new website rather than verify it. Probably tomorrow or the day after tomorrow there will be a positive opinion about this service from this user.

Honestly thought the same thing. But I figured I needed more signs so I decided to give OP the benefit of the doubt. We'll see...
1357  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So Many Exchanges out there on: April 24, 2022, 08:06:07 AM
Check their reputation. How much money you should entrust also depend on this.

1. The longer they have been in business the better.
2. Plus points if their team and where are they located are publicized.
3. Make use of the forum when researching, learn who is reputable or not (post history, trust history) cause they are unlikely to write fake feedbacks (not meant to say you should blindly trust anyone). Try to look if the exchange has an account in the forum as well to see if there's any scam accusation about them.
4. A reputable exchange would also be mentioned by reputable news outlets.

Lastly, make sure to read the TOS and privacy policy. I know you feel lazy to read it but it's important to know the risks before getting into something. You can check https://kycnot.me for a list of no mandatory to no kyc at all exchanges.
1358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: darkstash Marketplace on: April 23, 2022, 03:39:39 PM
Verified cashapp account with most likely stolen KYC data... You will effectively be locked out of your account if they request you to do another KYC. Re-verification and the request for more personal information happens a lot more often in CEXs.

In addition, this marketplace is less than a month old, basically zero reputation. How did you find it?

1359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Seeking an accountant/legal to trade on foreign exchanges (as an American) on: April 22, 2022, 11:12:48 PM
sorry for bumping the thread,
but does anyone know a service with online accountants, or the accountant you know/have that works online?
thanks for answering in advance

Try to look in job listing platforms?

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, it would help if you can explain that in detail.
1360  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINNMC [SCAM] [SCAM] [SCAM] on: April 22, 2022, 10:13:26 PM
Cross-posting this, it might help you if you're a victim

Since you're involving authorities, this might help you. It's from a victim of the said scam.

... I found a local support group, consisting of many victims, we are working with our local police dept on investigation and fbi in hopes of getting the scammers discovered and exposed! Should any victims out there reading this forum post and you require help / advice / support - you can visit http://globalantiscam.org for more info.

While I cant vouch for the org, I did a quick search that time and they were quoted by reputable news outlets as a source of information which you should be able to confirm yourself by DYOR. However this doesn't mean you should blindly trust them! in fact you shouldn't do that to anyone. Be cautious to anything a stranger tries to offer, it would help to think twice before jumping to anything.

thi is a well-known phenomenon, literally defined "Chinese girls scam" (just search on a internet search engine).
very often they prefer the target of 50-60 year old people not accustomed to new technologies and more prone to fall into these scams.

Also called pig butchering scam and they are usually a combination of romance + investment scams.

Actually, young ppl seems to be more prone to this, at least from what the articles I've read says.

Unlike traditional romance scams, most of those who fell for “pig-butchering” scams were people in their 20s and 30s who have a decent education, with nearly 90 per cent of them holding a bachelor’s degree or higher.
“While traditional dating and romance scams tend to target older Australians, almost half of all losses to romance baiting scams come from people under the age of 35.”
This agrees with statistics by Australian authorities and reported statistics in China, where 69% of Pig-Butchering scam victims were women, with ages concentrated between 25 and 40 years old.
