It's still at 1.05, but it might go below USD this week
1402  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying- Bitdefender Internet Security License on: March 15, 2015, 05:38:42 PM
That could work you good with escrowing it?

Sure, but I have never really used the forums to sell anything. Who should be doing escrow?
1403  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying- Bitdefender Internet Security License on: March 15, 2015, 05:25:59 PM
I don't have a key for 3 computers, but I could get you a Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 - 1 PC 9 Months Key for 0.02 BTC (bought it here)

1404  Economy / Economics / Re: USD monetary base has increased 3.5x since 2006. Why no huge inflation? on: March 15, 2015, 03:53:33 PM
Or, is it possible that you can have huge increases in monetary base without ever having these increases passed onto the economy?

I guess most of that went to the stock market so it doesn't really make a difference for consumers. If there's a major trend change on the stock markets you might see the prices of goods and services going up.
1405  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Local-Bitcoins.com is for sale!!!! on: March 15, 2015, 03:20:47 PM
It's definitely possible and it doesn't matter if the company is small. 1500 USD is still cheaper than 2200 USD.
1406  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Local-Bitcoins.com is for sale!!!! on: March 15, 2015, 02:47:47 PM
You could probably sell it to localbitcoins.com for very large as well, they will likely want to buy it.

Why would they buy it? They can just go to a court and get this domain for a few dollars - just like microsoft.com took over mikerowesoft.com

Keep in mind that if you buy this domain name LBC can take it from you at any time.
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 15, 2015, 02:07:42 PM
Some people say the the euro is going to $0.85, but who knows it might go below $0.5.

As someone who lives in Europe I think this is bad for the economy.

1409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cashing out BTC to paypal? on: March 09, 2015, 01:53:43 PM
I know VirWox since a decade as I am merchant and designer in Second Life. I can not tell you how often I exchanged between PayPal and VirWox back and forth, it happens at least twice a month since years. My PayPal account is still working, as same as my VirWox account. So, I think you are wrong. PayPal has no problem with VirWox.

AFAIK VirWoX has a special deal with PayPal and is the only Bitcoin exchanger that is tolerated by PayPal
1410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cashing out BTC to paypal? on: March 09, 2015, 11:53:41 AM
If you don't do anything shady, you don't have to be afraid to get problems with your account.

PayPal will freeze your account just for using Bitcoin, because it's against their terms of service
1411  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase. :-( on: March 08, 2015, 11:10:08 PM
Companies like Coinbase only charge a very low fee -  it's definitely annoying for a few people, but they need to have a very high rate of legitimate users (I guess >99%) to be profitable.
1412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cashing out BTC to paypal? on: March 08, 2015, 03:00:49 PM
And how does PayPal get to know that the cash was sent was bitcoin related? Is it depending on the site that sends the payment for bitcoins or if the note specifies the same?

If you trade with a few people some of them will mention "Bitcoin" in the payment reference part even if you tell them not to do this and PayPal occasionally checks user accounts.

The only company doing PayPal <-> Bitcoin with their permission is VirWoX.
1413  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: March 08, 2015, 06:06:59 AM
BTC is real. It's money, and you've got to work to earn some. I hope all faucets will disappear in 2015. Faucets are hurting bitcoin by making some people believing you can get it while doing nothing sitting in your home. No, BTC isn't like that, and it shouldn't be any easier to get than any fiat currency. Even for small amounts.

It's not really worth visiting those faucets now. Better find some small tasks to earn BTC

(I was operating a bitcoin faucet in early 2013)
1414  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] 1Broker.com - Trade forex, indices, stocks and commodities on: March 08, 2015, 02:34:02 AM
Is this a registered company? Because there is no company named "1Broker" in Austria.

According to the Austrian eCommerce Law (ECG §5) all websites need to provide contact information; someone already told OP about this in November 2012:

(afaik Austrian/German websites need to publish a site notice with names and stuff by law)

1415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cashing out BTC to paypal? on: March 08, 2015, 01:55:57 AM
Paypal will suspend your account if they somehow find out it is BTC related. They were still freezing accounts very recently.

I can confirm this. It happened to me 2 weeks ago.
1416  Local / Suche / Re: Suche BTC biete BARGELD!!!!!Nordhessen Umgebung on: March 08, 2015, 01:45:24 AM
1417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any European ski resorts with businesses that accept Bitcoin? on: March 08, 2015, 01:29:16 AM
You can pay with Bitcoin for appartments in Nassfeld (I didn't try them, but I've been to Nassfeld and it's really nice). For hotels, flights, etc. you should try CheapAir

I couldn't find any brick and mortar businesses in ski resorts.
1418  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: March 08, 2015, 01:11:39 AM
I really enjoyed "IT Crowd"
1419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin movies? on: March 08, 2015, 01:03:01 AM
It would be nice to see a list that keeps updated, I am sure in a year or two it would be one lengthy list.

I started something like that  Smiley
1420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best operative system? on: March 08, 2015, 12:55:31 AM
I recommend Linux (Debian or similar). Make sure to use Anti-Malware applications (you can buy Malwarebytes Premium with BTC) if you use Bitcoin on Windows.
