The Ukrainian people are FOOLS! Zelensky has been paid off to sacrifice his entire country. He is the modern-day Judas betraying his own people for a handful of silver.
...

Apart from your usual bizarre "sources", what Ukraine and Ukrainians do or don't do is not based on what Zelensky decides or says. Fighting in the front is not about one guy  or even a few people in government (in the RF it may be much more like that) because the defence of a country cannot be done without a high degree of support. This is even more true when the enemy is supposedly superior in numbers and has abundant resources (although now that is quite questionable).

The answer is much simpler: Ukrainians do not want to be ruled by Putin from Moscow. It did not go well in the past.

Somebody might say that Islam is a religion. Maybe so. But it is a government, as well.

A person can voluntarily become a Muslim. But if he doesn't want to, one of 3 things will happen:
1. If there aren't enough Muslims in an area, he won't have to become a Muslim;
2. If there are a reasonable number of Muslims in the area, they will nag him in little ways until he becomes Muslim or leaves;
3. If there are a lot of Muslims in an area, they will gradually force everybody else to become Muslims, leave, or they will assassinate/execute them.
That's how Islam grows.

Same said Ukraine. We see it in the fact that the Ukraine government/military started destroying, wounding, and killing Russians and Russia-favoring people in the Donbas area (and other areas) since at least 2014. In fact, it was the Ukrainian military amassing on the borders of the Donbas that caused Russia to move in and protect people in that area.

If Russia had not stepped in, undoubtedly we would have seen a lot more people...
1. leaving the area and moving to Russia;
2. firmly joining Ukraine (Stockholm syndrome);
3. dying.

Ukrainian government methods of expansion are similar to Islam's government expansion methods, even though their religion might be different.

Ukraine, a government of violence... just like Islam.

Cool

Again, failing in the principles. RF annexed Crimea and had two army groups in the Donbass. This is unrelated to the current RF government trying to protect "Russians" (the best way to do so is not to let them be killed in a war), it is related to a medieval concept of dominance that Russia, precisely Moscow and St Petersbourgh reserve to themselves.

On regards to your theory of enough Muslims living in an area etc... A simple theory for a much more complex reality (simple, yet wrong, answers for complex problems, I am not surprised you like Trump), it depends a lot on historical context and how the governments are structured. To live in harmony is difficult, but if there is a will to do so, it is possible. It has happened during long periods in history, usually those of most progress.

in terms of GDP, Russia rose from 11th to 9th place in the world over the year

So the internets is telling me Russia is the largest country in the world (by a lot). And they have more resources than any other country (by a lot).  So...why are they barely cracking the top 10 in countries by GDP?

In Russia, the service sector is underdeveloped, which in developed countries gives up to 70-80% of GDP. Also in Russia, the habit of living in debt is less developed, which also negatively affects the absolute figures of GDP, but is favorable for a healthier structure of the economy.

Wrong - debt can be good or bad, it is about what do you buy with it. Simple example: You use a credit card a 22% interest to buy fancy yet not needed clothes (bad idea) or you borrow at 3% to create a business that generates 15% returns (good idea). Debt simply makes things "shaky" but also gives an edge.

An undeveloped services sector is not healthy. A barrel of oil is pretty much a barrel of oil (not exactly true), an copper is copper...  services are key for competitivity.

be, the GDP of Russia is equivalent to the one of just Italy. The manufacturing capacity of Europe is and order of magnitude above the RF. There is no scenario whatsoever in which the RF gains any short of control over Europe, even if the US decided to do nothing.

GPD percentages are effectively what you need to pay for a war. Europe has no shortage of manufacturing capacity, several times in excess of anything the RF may dream of. If you are arguing that the RF could win a war of attrition, you are severely mistaken. These are hard data and facts.

Apart from data, your assertions collide with reality. The RF advance was slowed, stopped and then turned back because the RF does not have the logistics to carry on with the war.
Your information is out of date. According to recent data, in terms of GDP, Russia rose from 11th to 9th place in the world over the year, overtaking Italy. But data on Ukraine is difficult to find, according to various estimates, its GDP fell from 30 to 37% over the year, and in terms of GDP, Ukraine now neighbors Ethiopia and Sri Lanka.

And all this is unimportant, because it is not the size that matters, but the structure of GDP. In the GDP of developed countries, a large volume is occupied by services and derivative financial instruments. Therefore, it is incorrect to directly compare the GDP of Italy and Russia, although they are close in size. Just as it is incorrect to directly compare the GDP of Ukraine and Sri Lanka, although they are also close in size.

Sure, Italy 2.0 Trillion, RF 2.1 Trillion ... Does this really make you feel more reassured? Is that where your dream of the RF having some hold in Europe is based? From your same source, even without the US doing anything, the sum of Spain and Poland is in GDP the same as the RF. Basically, you are proving one of my points, so thanks.

BTW, the GDP of the RF has not risen, it is shrinking and the forecasts for next year is even worse. Italy's has probably go down, as tourism has been damaged by COVID - and before you say something silly, Euros from tourism buy the same weapons as Euros from oil exports.

It is perfectly valid as for comparison purposes. The GDP of a financial sector buys weapons and manufacturing facilities just as any other. And remember, economically speaking, your beloved leader has managed to get all the EU and other bits of Europe united against him - he is no longer fighting just Ukraine in economic terms. I can only congratulate your Psychos for this achievement that not even the best statespersons of Europe could achieve.

Lastly, a product of 2.1 Trillion for such a large territory and such a large number of people should be something to make you think about. How did the RF got there? Very simple, by the isolation and confrontation politics of the USSR, that Adolf Putin is now implementing. Again, congratulations.

I was a little mixed on war strategy earlier as there was some give and take on both sides, but it's really felt like the past 2-3 months or so Russia has been outplaying Ukraine / the west. Just my opinion. They made some smart retreats from some areas and doubled down on areas to go hard which seems to be having a lot of numbers go their way in a war of attrition.

Russian troops retreat victoriously. Ukrainian Army runs after them in panic.

Got it.

An the RF is far superior in speed. No matter how much the Ukrainian soldiers run to them with white flags shouting "we surrender" the RF troops are victoriously running towards Moscow, to give the great news, even faster.

BTW has anyone noticed that Wagner was one the main "symbols" during Nazism? Interesting name choice.
1423  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people always speak good about the dead? on: January 06, 2023, 10:33:18 PM
It is pretty much irrelevant how they talk about someone who cannot do much any longer. However, it is not true that all dead are praised. Think of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin,... they are pretty much dragged to the mud - well deserved if you ask me.

They problem with what you describe is that other may feel that the behaviour and lifestyle of the deceased was somehow acceptable and take example, so it is all right to say some truth if possible, even if not really explicitly to make sure people understand they are despised.
1424  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Louisiana Begins Requiring Government ID to Access Online Porn on: January 06, 2023, 10:26:55 PM
I am not surprised - the Bible Belt is strong on this one. Now it comes to deciding what is porn and what is not porn, so there should be something similar to offcial censoship in the state. However, this measure is as restrictive as it is futile at porn is widely accessible in the internet an there is nothing preventing anyone from using a VPN if it comes to it. I see the ID requirement much more applicable to live shows.

Smoking is not the cause of this person problems at all. I was a smoker, a chain smoker I mean, big piles of butts left over the desk, lighting one with another... I took responsibility for it and decided that I was an addict, no excuses, I did not like smoking, it did not calm me, it did not help me, it was just and addiction. I decided to quit and I did. It has been around 20 years now. If I could, he could.
1426  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why does celebrity marriage frequently end in divorce?  on: January 06, 2023, 10:14:43 PM
Not specifically celebrities, divorce is quite frequent in countries where it is allowed and more or less hassle free. The reasons for Celebs are a bit different, since for most of the cases it is due to any of the following:

- Cheating, frequently.
- People marry too young and realize it has been a mistake. Incompatibility.
- Addictions or money problems, sometimes stress.
- People decide to follow different life options or paths.

For celebs... divorce does not mean much. Usually the economic side is not important so they feel free to go.

1427  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: January 05, 2023, 01:13:25 PM
.

It is true that if anyone starts a new casino business without having a large budget for the development of his casino, it will be very difficult to be successful. because the tough competition between casinos and others is very tough and if they can't survive, they will go bankrupt and close their casino business.
It can even be clarified here that even thinking about starting to promote and conduct advertising campaigns for a completely new casino on the market without a huge budget is simply not worth thinking about right now.  It's just unthinkable.  I think that those who take it into their heads to enter this market in a serious way are all just a rebranding of existing casinos that already had a huge experience in this market, which is very saturated with gambling services sellers.  So it is extremely problematic for a new casino, even with a large budget, to occupy even a percentage of this market.  And by the way, from the new casinos, I don’t even remember who has taken some serious market share lately.
Like there aren't any???

Money is a requirement for growth unless you plan to go viral. And, if you plan to go viral your are going to have to test that your product has effectively viral characteristics and is able to grow on its own mostly without any further investment. So planning for campaigns of a new site is pretty much a requirement if you intend to have a real business and not a try-out thing.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games plebs like us must play on: January 05, 2023, 01:10:22 PM
I'm not against the use of the Martingale System, I'm merely trying to debate if it's truly an effective betting system to help plebs like us win some money in the casino. I have heard others trying to argue that playing casino games is not for profit/just for entertainment. OK, but perhaps using the Martingale System might make the entertainment last for only 10 minutes in the casino because you doubled your bets to zero. Hahaha.

But as you posted, maybe someone likes to play like that. Cool

I am against martingale system and I think this is one of the worst gambling approach.
You need an endless wallet to be able to reach a win/profit with Martingale system. there are tons of explanation about it, any gambler must be aware of that. also the final result. You will get a win of the initial amount even if you doubled your bets a lot of times. It means you're getting an high risk for a minimum benefit!
Another reason I don't suggest this gambling approach, also because this is the mental result for "addiction". I will bet more/doubling my bet so I can win...

I believe the same argument can be applied in day-trading. If a day-trader's stop-loss has been activated repeatedly and it has caused him lose 20% of his capital, should his next trades be double in size before he lost 20%? NO, that would be stupid, he SHOULD make his trades smaller in size to preserve capital, and wait for a better/bullish situation in the market. If he doubles his/her trades during losing streaks, he will have NOTHING by the time everything is bullish again.

Some people would say that a stop-loss at -10% is the best way to make sure you loose 10% in every single trade. The best moment for trading (if any) are when volatility is high, and that means large variations - so before you get to the profit zone it is likely that the variation has exceeded your stop loss a few times and gotten you out of the deal. I guess that is why day trading requires bravery and perhaps, ignorance.
1429  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: January 05, 2023, 01:08:31 PM
It is a good decision but not for all users. I don`t see any problem to root phone, but it is not standard.
I don't think rooting a phone is necessary just to remove some apps. Unless you want to remove system-protected apps, which in most cases will likely brick your phone even if you use a custom from. Not to mention those big apps are mostly web browsers, games, and so on. Chrome for example takes around 1 GB (IIRC) just for the installation files and necessary data, so if you have multiple web browsers removing some of them will give you a decent amount of free space.
I think that we are talking about RAM. It is not a problem to free space in modern phones. But it can become a problem if you use an old phone and not only for gambling. In such a way you can have big apps you can`t remove.
Running a website does not require a big of RAM. A device with only 1 GB of RAM can run a websites smoothly. Nowadays no phone is manufactured with less than 3 GB RAM minimum. And ROM is needed to install additional apps so RAM doesn't play a big role here on the number of app installs. But RAM plays a big role in running those apps smoothly. So 2 GB RAM will serve you well enough to install and run a gambling application smoothly
My mom has the phone with 3GB of RAM. Next time, she will cry that the apps don`t work - i`ll say her that she has enough RAM.
Yes, we can use the old phone for websites, or for gambling, or for some other app. But if we want to use them all the same time - we need at least 4GB RAM, but i prefer 6GB. The last phone i used with 3 GB can work only with 2 apps the same time.
For a mobile phone to run well, its chipset plays a greater role than RAM.  So if you are using an iphone which is made by A bionic chip, then in this case even if you are using a iphone with 2 GB RAM you will not be able to slow it down in any way and will you be able to run all kinds of apps very smoothly which can't be done on another normal brand phone with 6 GB RAM like Xiaomi, oppo , vivo , Samsung etc......

One of the problems I find with phones and when trying to adjust the cost and performance to my needs in gambling is the pace of the technology updates, sometimes done just for the shake of it, providing very little additional safety or features that a regular user is actually going to appreciate. Looks a lot like the early stages of Windows and the "PC Compatible" in which every year you'd need to change.
1430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 05, 2023, 01:04:39 PM
A lone sports bettor, in my opinion, is someone who does not rely on another person to interpret the odds and advise them which sporting event to wager on. Before placing a bet, the lone gambler conducts his own study and analysis.

In contrast, a team sports bettor, in my opinion, is a member of a betting community or group on Telegram, Facebook, or Twitter that is led by a self-described expert in sports betting. He or she chooses the game on which to make their wager after conducting the necessary research and analysis on their behalf.

Which of these categories do you belong to and why?

Under your definition, I do not think anyone is properly a lone bettor. You eventually are not immune to the noise and the news that are out there unless you do not talk to anyone, listen to any news nor have any world contact. It is for each to decide how to filter that noise and how to make the best out of the limited information and the limited reliability of such information.

Could this potentially even affect the reputation of Real Madrid?
1432  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: January 05, 2023, 12:23:53 AM
Apparently, the RF Chief Psychos think that it is a great idea to make their young unprepared and sometime enslaved soldiers sleep on top of the gun-shells, just in case someone tries to steal them I guess.

Any RF soldier must know how little they care about them dying - there is a lot of people in the RF that are spendable to them.

It's kinda surprising that they admitted significant casualties ("Moskva" sailors say hi from their new submarine assignments).

Now it's already 89 dead and probably rest few hundreds will be announced as gone without any sign
BTW, Russia already made ''revenge'' for it. They attacked ice arena Altair in Druzhkivka. Maybe some of you already saw this video when moment of attack was caught live on French TV:
https://twitter.com/Flash_news_ua/status/1610044712215257088
Guess what Russia said about it. They destroyed 2 HIMARS systems, 4 RM-70 Vampire systems and killed 120 Ukrainian troops:
https://meduza.io/news/2023/01/03/minoborony-rf-otchitalos-ob-udare-po-skopleniyu-voennoy-tehniki-v-druzhkovke-ukrainskie-vlasti-soobschali-chto-tam-razrushili-ledovuyu-arenu-altair
Here is ice arena looks after attack. I don't see any signs that it was base of military. If things that Russia says would be true, I think that this place would look similar like school in Makeevka after attack.
https://t.me/uniannet/85434
BTW, about destroyed HIMARS. Russia now already had destroyed 27 HIMARS, when Ukraine had only 20:
https://imgur.com/3EsVRw0
So, now Russia destroyed more HIMARS than Ukraine had and Ukraine somehow still manage to destroy occupants using it. It's material for Veleor who said that Russian Defense ministry and state owned media never caught lying.

Aside from the convulsively absurd revenge propaganda (we destroyed the evil HIMARS! and killed 100500 Ukrainians!), Russian MOD also figured out who's responsible for the Makiivka attack... it's the soldiers themselves because they used cell phones and Ukrainians triangulated them. The relatives of the deceased must be thrilled with these findings. As if cramming so many people, vehicles, and ammunition into one building wouldn't be noticeable from any drone or satellite... but they can't possibly blame their glorious generals of being so negligent after months of Ukrainian strikes on ammunition depots etc, can they.

Oh, and some deluded Russian "senator" seems to imply that this attack is a NATO-supported crime against Russian citizens. If even a "senator" is not aware that they're at war, then what can we expect from ordinary consumers of Kremlin fairy tales like Veleor.

The theory of the soldiers using their phones and being spotted is technically very dubious, not impossible though. A phone can typically reach an antenna at less than 50 miles, but probably can be detected at 60 miles with proper equipment. I would say in the is the range of the possible.

However, I think is much more likely that military communications themselves are detected. If they were not encrypted, well, it does not get any easier to hit munitions and kill anyone around them. If they were encrypted but geolocated, there is still a good chance that they are interpreted as movement, simply by the volume of communications on the area.

My guess: an increment of comms in the area are detected, this is brought to the attention of "the eyes of the heavenly gods" which may have confirmed supply convoys, too much unexplained movement of vehicles or, if the RF army is stupid enough - and we have seen plenty of that - plain sight supply operations.

We may have not seen the last of this. There are thousands of troops and depots in HIMARS 80km range. In fact I wonder how many of these cases go unannounced.

There seems to be some RF soldiers smoking where they should not in Sebastopol.

https://t.me/Pravda_Gerashchenko/58861

On the "crystal ball" I can see that the numbers of RF troops in the south are thinning. I would not discard an Ukrainian advance in the general direction of Melitopol from Zaporilla. A less likely one, a push from Kherson to create a perimeter, strategically convenient but hard to execute.

Ordinary day in Ukraine

BTW it seems that a HIMARS strike aimed (probably) to a munitions depot has also killed between 62 (official RF figure) and 300 (Ukrainian estimate) soldiers.

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukraine-shells-donetsks-makiivka-hitting-military-quarters-officials-2023-01-01/

Quote
Jan 2 (Reuters) - Russia said on Monday that 63 Russian soldiers had been killed in a Ukrainian New Year's Eve attack on their quarters, triggering furious criticism of the military leadership from lawmakers and pro-war bloggers.

Footage posted online showed a building purported to be a vocational college in Makiivka, a city in the Russian-controlled part of Ukraine's Donetsk province, reduced to rubble.

Thank you so much for this wonderful topic, I truly appreciate because I have a lot to talk about on this topic, our life ends as we keep silent to those things that matters, I suggest trump should be in a permanent prison, he should just face what he has commit in the nation, there is no too much questions for someone who is against the rules and regulations of the nation, trump is not obeying the rules, and his bringing violence to the society, my opinion is that a fast reaction is needed to take before trump now.

So, you think Trump did bad things? He didn't do anything nearly as bad as the presidents of the last 3 decades. But he did hundreds of good things. See a short (dozens) list of them here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313290.msg60834577#msg60834577.

Cool

You don't get it. Trump did not do "bad things", he broke the law as it is written and as it is intended to be enforced. It does not matter if other people broke or did not breal the law in the past and it does not matter if you agree with him or consider him someone of value. It is about having rules and following them. The guy is so used to doing whatever he wants since he was a child that does not even know right from wrong anyway.

May I ask where would young Brits are thinking of going? I mean, the IMF is speaking of a simultaneous recession in China, EU and US. Most of the world is about to have two consecutive quarters of negative growth. If you think of it, the UK may actually be one of the less worse places to be, as even when the economy is not great, there is still a certain living standard.

^^^ They really don't have an answer. The few documents that Trump had under lock and key, are nothing compared to the docs and other criminal activities that Obama's doing even today.

Cool

He actually stole thousands of government documents, over 300 of them were classified.

You don't know that he stole them, and I believe that he had the right to take them (if he did) and maybe the duty.

Cool

Fortunately, the law does not care about "what you believe" or if you "think is right", it is in written and only a judge - someone who actually understands the law and cares about it - can up to a point decide on interpretation.

Everything points out at your loved leader (I am starting to think he may be your dad), broke the official secrets law by taking documents that were in point A, where they belong, to point B, where they do not belong. That is illegal, period. If proven, he has broken the law - and really important one.
1437  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SBF get prosecuted, Elon got away from laws, why double standard? on: January 01, 2023, 07:38:24 PM
Double standard? No, the standard in US has always been the same: good lawyers require 1000 an hour plus. If you have them, the public prosecution will fear you to the point of accepting any ridiculous deal to avoid spending tons of public money that may go to waste. If the case is clear and your funds are blocked, the system will roll over your ass without any problem.

Sarcasm apart, the case is very clear and there has to be an exemplary public punishment to it.

Congratulations! You have built the post with the largest length to rational thinking ratio of the thread. I could even say one of the most propagandistic despite the lack of style and effectiveness.

Most of you assertions are wishful thinking... "when Ukraine runs out...", "when Ukrainians realize this or that"... As I said in many posts, patience is important for people who think like you. You can spend lots of time waiting for all of that to happen. Or you whole life waiting for it sometimes.

As of now, none of the facts show any ability from the RF to reach objectives others than wanton destruction and other war crimes and crimes against humanity. No military achievement that could remotely match the death toll and the economic impact for the present and the future.

Keep up the trolling, you are doing a favour to Ukraine.

...

be, you are dreaming. Only with an increase of a 1% of GDP in military spending in the EU the military power of Europe would surpass the RF. And that is happening already - guess thanks to who.

Not to mention the abundant evidence given by the RF not having most of the claimed capabilities, the number of vehicles, the technology, the manufacturing capacity... This war has evidenced that the RF army is unable to reach any objective even against a theoretically inferior enemy, with a weaker economy and a bad starting strategic situation.

For example, and I take this with a "pinch of salt", a brit general recently declared: "I am going to inform Putin of something that his generals do not dare to say: You do not have enough artillery shells for fighting". An American sources says that there's a "critical shortage" of shells and even other war "staples".

Instead of dreaming of the great Russia, you should be waking up to the harsh reality of a broken system.
I just realistically assess the situation, it seems you are dreaming and fantasizing here. Europe is now almost completely demilitarized, its armories are almost empty. She would be happy to increase the supply of military aid to Ukraine, but she cannot. And an increase in military spending by 1% of GDP does not solve this issue in the near or even more distant future, because GDP percentages cannot shoot. And Europe cannot accelerate military production, because it is in a state of severe energy shortage and is more concerned about how to survive this winter on the accumulated gas reserves in storage facilities, and then how to fill these storage facilities again by next winter. Europe is not able to defend itself, it is forced to rely on an external security guarantor. Today it is the USA, tomorrow it may be Russia. Europe will fall under anyone who turns out to be stronger and spreads her legs herself. After the Second World War, this position is familiar to her.
...

be, the GDP of Russia is equivalent to the one of just Italy. The manufacturing capacity of Europe is and order of magnitude above the RF. There is no scenario whatsoever in which the RF gains any short of control over Europe, even if the US decided to do nothing.

Apart from data, your assertions collide with reality. The RF advance was slowed, stopped and then turned back because the RF does not have the logistics to carry on with the war.

by doing calculations with economic experts they have disvored next prices.

If you live in generally canada you should earn at least 3500 in order to function normally.
Euro zone it's about 3500 EUR
In USA it's varied but If you live in los Angeles or new York it's a 7000$ + for sure
In UK London is more expensive but its about 4000 + for sure.

The goverment should restrict prices of rent for example If you rent out the Property goverment should check what could be the price of rent so to make sure person who rent will not use most of the work salary for rent

If we talking about countries like Norway where food price Are very high then Norway minimum wage should be atleast 100,000 NOK + it's about 10,000$ value.

Business who dont comply with minimum wage rules should get highest penalty and not allowed to operate anymore.

If person have more skills and experinces then salary should go up immediately otherwise penalty for company.

If we do this then instant paradize all around the world

No, you do not need 3500 per month I assume to live in the Eurozone. There is in fact nothing like the wage of the Eurozone, as the regions vary greatly in prices and income. Southern Italy, Greece, regions of Spain and even in France allow people to live even with 1200 Euros a month (no luxuries). Some people manage to do so with 900 a month. So those numbers do not make sense as they are.

There are thousands of people (I dare to say millions) living in London on less than 2000.

Regarding rent prices, restricting is not the solution, but rather building more houses and having social housing.
1440  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 30, 2022, 01:18:41 AM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single, earn $3,000 after tax per month, you will probably save $1,000 if you, let's say, spend $500 to $800 on rental, a guest bedroom in a shared house/apartment, $500 on food, $50  on utilities, $150 on phone/internet bills, $400 on commuting costs or gas/maintainance if you have a used car, $200 on occasional entertainment or others. This $1,000 savings will allow you to invest or place a house down payment when time is ripe. Is this possible based on where you live ?

Of course, with those numbers anyone could save not just 30% but probably 50% if that were the objective. The problem of people who do not save is, most of the times, that their income is not great. I am not saying that earning a lot means you'll save, because you can manage to spend it, I am saying that many people out there have just enough for the basic needs.
