1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free Gambling Course provided by OnlineGambling on: August 16, 2022, 08:11:39 AM
There is something that I have learned over the years, especially with gambling and trading respectively, the first thing is that we cannot think that we will get rich with gambling or trading overnight, people who believe that this is so, they are very wrong and I think they have to do something about it as a protection measure for themselves, another thing that I have learned is that every profit, no matter how little, is profit, it is much better to have a very small profit to a loss, there is no doubt about that, however I have learned to see both trading and gambling as a business, a business where if you get minimal profits we are doing things right, and every time we operate the ideal is that profits are obtained, not extreme, but something.
For trading yes it is hard to become rich in an instant because the coins don't pump a hundred times more overnight but it can take them days or weeks max if they are only a pump and pump coin but for gambling I think it's pretty possible because we have jackpots and then those games with thousands and millions of multipliers.

What if you got lucky and hit them with a not so small bet? You are then going to go home with millions or even billions, just like that. It's not wrong to believe in the impossible but you must still stay realistic most of the times so that you will stick on your limits and won't do over spending in terms of gambling.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 15, 2022, 07:00:40 PM
In last T-20 New Zealand were not doing their best because they already won the series and just do this all stuff for practice which give a consolation win for home team and good one because now they can feel much better after hammering by India and now New Zealand at home I am feeling this is surely the worst ever season for them with these results.
Agreed. After all the big players stopped playing for their international team, they kept losing again and again against teams from around the world. Sad to see a team like WI sink in the T-20 format.
If you can check analysis then surely you can check most of the time teams like Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan have history like this after winning series in last matches mostly they play with new players or soft hands which mean they are obliging other teams for having some better result in this series after losing series by 4 - 1 against India this was expecting they will do something to cheer, and they have lost this series by score of 2 - 1 which is also acceptable for them because currently these both teams are in good form and have ability to demolish any side so having just one win from these two series is also enough for current West Indies squad which is going down and out from international cricket soon just because of their policies and board politics.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: August 15, 2022, 11:30:00 AM
By the transfermarkt calculations Qatar worths under 20 million euros, whereas Senegal worths nearly 300 million euros, that is a x15 time difference. Once again, I am not saying that it is guaranteed because in football, anything could happen, but I feel like there is a good chance we could end up with Qatar losing all games.
Totally agree. This is the first time that Qatar will participate in a World Cup. It's because? Because it is the organizing country, otherwise it would hardly participate. Of course, by being at home, they can have extra motivation, and are preparing as best they can to make a good impression. But honestly I think the probability of losing every game is pretty high.
Even in last few years Qatar authorities are spending some good amount in this game but still it's not good enough for them to achieve anything special from this world cup because they have not good squad and qualify for this event just as host which is having no worth and Senegal are African champions which mean they beat quality teams from African continent, and they can do something special here as well.

Here if Qatar have any chance of a point is it's against Ecuador because they are the weakest team in this group but still it's not easy for them because they will do their best for having some chance to be in next round which is not easy in presence of Senegal.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 15, 2022, 06:38:40 AM
Inter has won the last match, and in my opinion, it was a well-deserved victory for them. Even though it took them until the very last moment of the match to make sure that they would be able to win the match, they were able to do so. In the event that we take a look at the statistics of them to match, we will be able to determine that Inter dominated the match in almost every category. The result would have been unfair if the result had been a draw. Congratulations are due to them for the outstanding efforts that led to this victory, and I believe they deserved it.
Even after having early lead through Lukaku it's still needed some hard work from Inter to win this first match of new season against Lecce with Dumfries D. came from bench and done injury time goal to give them full three points in this match, statistics are showing heavily favorite Inter were in full control still this was not easy like this as Lecce defense was well aware of this all Inter attack, and they have done good job at the end.

While in second half Lecce were in good shape, and they were not allowing Inter attack to play all their own which was good strategy by their coach but still they were unlucky to have goal in very last minute of injury time and fail to have their first point of this new season.
1505  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people more and more people depend from this on: August 14, 2022, 08:12:33 PM
You are talking about "Day traders" and speculators.... not true supporters of the Satoshi vision. The people that wants Bitcoin to succeed in the long-term..are those people who wants to see less volatility and a more stable Bitcoin price...so that it can be used as a currency and not just as a commodity.  Roll Eyes

I do not wake up with the cellphone in hand.. to see what the Bitcoin price is, because I do not care.... I want to see Bitcoin adoption increase and I want people to use it as a currency. (That will push the Bitcoin price to much higher prices in the long-term future)  Wink
I think that traders and speculators are still supporters because they buy btc and they waste some of their precious time to speculate about btc. This still helps btc to succeed. Btc is built to be highly volatile so wanting to see the volatility go down may seem to be impossible.

If you are not like them (traders and speculators) but you are only looking forward to use your bitcoin as a payment method for your business then volatility should not be a hindrance. Look at different companies, shops and people that simply use btc for daily use. I think they rarely complain but are already used to the way btc is created. I thought you don't care about the price? But your last sentence tells that you want the price to go higher.
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm wondering when btc network will launch usdt in the lightning network? on: August 13, 2022, 06:48:05 PM
It is not possible.

It was possible to make use of bitcoin blockchain for omini layer, but that is onchain. Lightning network is layer 2 and it is not on chain but off chain. If USDT wants to be able to do that, its developers needs to create off chain layer 2 means of transferring USDT, but they may not want to do that because of altcoins blockchain options which have low transaction fee.
Thanks to Taproot, it is quite possible to issue USDT or other tokens on the Lightning Network. Check out the protocol proposed by Lightning Labs called Taro:

https://lightning.engineering/posts/2022-4-5-taro-launch/
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/technical/how-bitcoin-taro-protocol-works
https://docs.lightning.engineering/the-lightning-network/taro
So, it is really possible? It's funny how others immediately post that it's not possible without double checking things first in the internet. Things are changing fast you know and experts won't stop until they come up with a better solution which can help improve the lives of the people.

First, we have tron and the next one is this. I think this will attract more people to use tether and forget its flaws because the lightning network is much faster and cheaper compared to other networks. By the way, that taproot name is kinda familiar to me. I know it sounds like a rooting application for android phones lol but I don't know if they are from the same company.
1507  Economy / Economics / Re: Are CBDCs good for the economy? on: August 13, 2022, 12:05:39 PM
Why are stablecoins better than CDBC?
At least with a CDBC, you will know 1 dollar is one dollar, with stablecoins you find out in the morning a UST is equal 2 cents.
Besides, even if stablecoins would be able to keep their peg, they are still doing this to a currency controlled by the same government that issued those CDBCs so, what's the advantage?
Let's add the fact that with stablecoins you don't have to worry only about the government freezing your account but by the ones issuing those stablecoins on top of that like tether has been doing for ages.
So, any reason why somebody would use them over CDBC?
I don't think so that 1 dollar is always 1 dollar but there are times that the dollar can decrease or increase by a tiny percent. Also the stable coins that we are talking about here are only legit stable coins and not those scammed ones like ust and other algorithmic based stable coins. They aren't really stable because they can easily depeg.

I do not think that it would be great to invest in either, I would rather not do that, but if I had to pick one, I would go with BUSD over everything else. Because, I trust Binance more than I trust any other stablecoin or any government, they actually do want the best for you because what's best for you is best for them as well.
Invest? But, they are stable so earning a profit is not possible on them although they are useful to have in hand in preparation for the dip and that is the one that you're going to use to buy a coin. You can also convert your volatile cryptos to it to prevent them from fluctuating. That is few of the benefits of using a stable coin or cbdc. Busd is no doubt a good stable coin and next of it would be usdc and dai.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 12, 2022, 08:00:59 AM
It becomes a mystery if Christophe Galtier can manage these PSG players, else they should terminate their contracts. It is important that the players depend on him and follow his tactics to achieve something as big as winning the UEFA Champions League. As the season is about to start, I cannot say anything early since we have an example already. The unexpected can happen at any time. Could this be the manager PSG needs to lift up the Champions league trophy for the first time?
Not easy how to be PSG manager with many talented and star player, actually Christophe Galtier as new manager for PSG will find difficulty after few match later because will have some player show his personal skill without prefer with team working.  But first winning on Ligue 1 give positive respond for PSG fans, but most waiting on UEFA Champion League how far journey of PSG in this season, will get success until to final stage and get trophy for the first time or keep stuck on 16 round what happened last season were PSG defeated by Real Madrid on 16 round.
If Christophe Galtier wants to have some positive from his current job then surely he needs to manage these all players even he can go with rotation policy and giving chances to all players regularly is also not bad at all because he needs development and good results if he wants to stay here or management needs to cut few stars from this squad because having too many stars are also not helping them in long run just financial burden.

Currently, Champions League is main target for them, and they need to do some extraordinary effort to win this because we have too many teams in different leagues those can go through for this and having enough firepower as well I am having faith in this squad, but just problem is how to manage things for better results main problem for them.
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 truths about bitcoin, in my opinion? on: August 12, 2022, 07:11:51 AM
Tell that to the people who bought bitcoin even at cycle peaks pre-2017. Not sure if they necessarily got rich because it will completely depend on how much capital you allocated, but I'm pretty sure a of them are doing well if they just held.
The issue is that many people are in bitcoin for maybe a year and never really even saw one full cycle. Also many think that the cycles are the same, but actually each cycle is way higher on the chart than the one before, even if the cycles are a little bit the same anytime.
I would guess that the cycles are growing smaller as well. Like when it moved from just under a dollar to over 30 dollars that was x30+ and more, which means when it moved from 100 bucks or so to 1400 dollars in 2014 that was also a bit 14x give or take, and when it moved from 700 dollars to 20k that was about a good chunk I will have to agree with that, but then we moved from 10k to 60k which was just 6x, 7x if you count 68k as 70k.

As we can see, people who are investing now, will still make a good money, better than any stock they can pick or gold, but it wouldn't be as good as the early birds who made x100 and then some on their bitcoin if they are still holding it.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 11, 2022, 09:10:42 PM
Bayern Munich does not have too much trouble winning the Bundesliga title. But on the other hand, Real Madrid has some stiff competition in La Liga. So Real Madrid is better prepared to take on a team that is as strong as theirs, if not stronger. But on the other hand, Bayern Munich gets it easy the whole season. Therefore, they are not well prepared to take on a team that is almost as strong as them.

Obviously, Real Madrid has always played as a team. But Bayern Munich wins a lot of matches based on solo plays. And I have always liked the “never give up” attitude of Real Madrid.
We have two European leagues on same level and mostly dominating by only two teams which are Bayern Munich here in Germany and PSG in French League things could be not different in future for them as they are still in good shape and having few quality players those are going to do something good in this Bundesliga even Champions League is completely different but here no team is in good shape even Borussia Dortmund was having some good preparation but sadly due to Haller issue now they are badly down and have few chances for surviving at top.

Start is also good for both teams with Borussia Dortmund beats Leverkusen and Bayern Munich completely destroy his opponent. There were few expectations from Leipzig, but we have to wait for their results in next few rounds so can they give challenge to any top team.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 11, 2022, 05:25:16 PM
Kyrgios has momentum, he is playing great, had his chance against Djokovic as well, and won all other matches since Wimbledon

not sure about winning Montreal, but after kicking out Medvedev, he has an open road to final stages, and that could be an easy task, if he continues this way

as I already said, Medvedev is not no.1 potential, he ended up there as coincidence
Yeah, I do agree that Nick has now the momentum and I will be riding on his in this tournament. Maybe bet on him if the player that he will be facing is not name Djkovic or Nadal.

As for Medvedev, another disastrous year for him, probably a number 1 seed that is not as consistent as the others before him who become the top seed, like the big 3. Still though, he will have to prove himself again in the next tournament.
In last few weeks, we are having some good changes in Nick Kyrgios, and now he is doing amazing game after losing final against Djokovic in Wimbledon now he is on winning streak and with this win against Medvedev now his confidence and game is on their high level if he is going to play like this for some more time then surely he is going to be at top with some great results and here in this tournament he can win his second title in a row.

Medvedev is surely one of the best player in current era but sadly due to some trouble and restrictions he is facing some trouble, but soon he can fight back and can give his best for the game.
1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth could take over BTC or not on: August 10, 2022, 09:38:30 PM
If you ask me that question, I would say that your expectation is too high. I think Etherium never can take over btc and I also think Ethereum can be replaced by someone else. Currently, if Ethereum would  take over Bitcoin, it price have to be increase about   13.73x.  I also think for the dominance of bitcoin it also not possible on future.
I would like to say that as gold and silver can never be one and also silver can never take over gold, just like Etherium can never take over bitcoin.  That because they each have specific purposes and features
I do agree that taking over bitcoin is something that ethereum will not do for a long time. I am not saying that it is impossible but that is too much of a goal for it right now. Best thing is to go up together, maybe after 2.0 it could have a good increase that will see them closer.

At some point, it reached to a point where it was just double the marketcap and we believed that it was getting there, with the proof of stake increase, if the gas price stays low when there is a lot of attention then it could actually get enough people to spend their ethereum as well. But that doesn't change the fact that it will be a tough thing to achieve for now.
1513  Economy / Economics / Re: Singapore to unveil plans to becoming a Bitcoin hub on: August 10, 2022, 09:05:24 PM
I'm skeptical about these claims of countries becoming "bitcoin hubs" (whatever that really means), because it seems like I've heard this story before and it just sounds to me like they're trying to ride the wave of something very popular but without doing anything lasting or even meaningful.

It's kind of like how every business and a lot of altcoins are jumping on the NFT bandwagon to attract newcomers, which I think is complete garbage--because IMO NFTs are complete garbage.  We'll see where Singapore stands with bitcoin in five years, because that'll show whether they meant what they said, and only time is going to determine that.  Right now it's just a lot of words.
The main reason for that is the fact that we have seen a lot of them claim something like this before and fail, and since we saw them fail before, that ends up causing us to not believe that they would do it now. I do agree that it is not going to be easy, but it could be done. I mean maybe it hasn't been done before, but if you do legal leeway, like not force them too much and very low taxes, or even no taxes at all then it could work.

But, you also need to make sure that you help them out. I do not know how, but convincing them to change the nation they are in and go to Singapore is a very hard ask, so they need to give some incentives as well to make that work as well.
1514  Economy / Economics / Re: Surprisingly, Elon's Tesla is not so keen on hodling BTC anymore on: August 10, 2022, 06:03:19 PM
Musk is playing with market ....I believe one should be as influential as Musk - his one word can move the market upside down.

This is how fortune favors some daring people and Musk is one of them - more power to you man
No, I believe NOT. His "one word" could move shitcoins like Dogecoin, or it might move Bitcoin for one hour, but the market always prices information in. Elon Musk will become irrelevant, HAS ACTUALLY become irrelevant to Bitcoin and the market in general, than when Tesla announced their sale of their Bitcoins, the market didn't react negatively. In fact, it reacted positively. Bitcoin is higher than Tesla's sell price.
He has become irrelevant because of the fact that he is not tweeting about it anymore. But, if he starts doing that again and again like crazy, then he will probably make the markets go crazy too. I know that it is not something we should look forward to, I dislike the guy as much as the next person and even though he created two companies that are amazing, he just took over them and not the actually founder of these companies at all, he is just the investor to them and nothing more.

In the end, he has power, we do not want him to have that power but unfortunately, he does have that power and that makes things a lit bit difficult for people like me and you.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will people finally abandon Tron? on: August 09, 2022, 07:26:30 PM
some time ago I analyzed tron. and i discovered the potential that tron will have a surprise sometime. where the price will skyrocket. Maybe not now. but just look. because tron has been in the sideways lane for too long. then of course after a long sideways will usually be followed by a tantalizing increase. let's see.
Same with me. Tron is being talked a lot before and I think it's going to be the next big thing but I guess the op was right that all of it are just hype. Since when tron became sideways again? If it's before this bear takes place then I think that was already permanent but if it's still doing fine before the bear then there's a chance that its value can improve.

Some people abandoned tron already while there are some isn't because they still believe that this coin can boom like the belief they have in bitcoin and other more potential coins. While there are those who use tron for payment purposes only like in gambling and can care less about its future price since they can just convert later on right after they gamble.
1516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 09, 2022, 03:33:23 PM
I don't think Bitcoin will ever hit 10k. But currently, Bitcoin is between $22,000 and $23,000.In the meantime came up to 17 thousand dollars. But it did not wait there for a long time and the market went up very quickly. If you want to invest, you must invest with your head and analysis and see a good time, don't rely on your hands all the time. You can never invest on your own hands.
Having our own analysis can help us decide on when is the right timing for us to buy. If you're going to hold for long period, a price decrease even a bit will do since its not for short term investment. The problem for some investors are they're waiting for the real bottom not knowing they already missed the opportunity to buy. On the other side, DCAing is a good strategy so we dont need to concern ourselves for the current price.
That’s the benefit of being a long term investor. If you are doing something that is beneficial for you like long term investment, then all those things that "should" hurt you like a short term drop would not matter to you. Like I have been holding for a few years now, saw it go up a lot, saw it go down a lot and none of that mattered to me, I was of course happy when it went up but didn't sell much.

So, people who are long term will not be caring for the drops there are in the price of bitcoin or anything else. This is the approach you could have during bear markets like now, you could buy as much as you can and wait for the long term profits.
1517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Sentiment Infographic for August on: August 09, 2022, 09:35:25 AM
We have witnessed bear markets pump and dumps before which were caused by whales and cryptofunds like Alameda Research through their use of manipulation and leverage. Also, similar to you, I also become very skeptical when analysts like Tom Lee go to CNBC and declare that the bear market is over hehehe.
I personally do not think it could be over just because someone said it. But I do feel like it is over right now not because someone said it but because I think it has been long enough time. Like if the drop started on November, and there was a bit of increase on December then I would totally understand why people may think it is just a dead cat bounce.

But, it happened during early November and has been going down ever since and we are now in august, that means it has been 10 months, nearly a year since the drop, we are getting there. I do not believe that bitcoin stays low for that long, it eventually recovers and we are there about right now and will go up again soon.
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the most bullish altcoin of the week? on: August 08, 2022, 08:49:25 PM
One of the reasons why I chose crypto investing is that here it is pretty clear which way the market is headed. Like, I can confidently bet on Phaver, just because it is: a) something about simple earnings; b) DAO project. That’s it Smiley
So which way the market is heading now, if you think that cryptos are truly predictable? Maybe you would say it will go upwards just because you see that some coins are continuously increasing right?

But, there is no guarantee if they really can continue till a new bull run. We have experienced a bull trap a couple of times before so I believe the same scenario can happen again plus many believe that the bottom is not reach yet for some coins. What is that phase you are talking about there anyway? I think that's a new coin and how can it compete with the others if it can only offer simple earnings? Having a dao isn't also new but I do like dao-based projects.
1519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can trading be likened to gambling and how so? on: August 08, 2022, 08:20:46 PM
I don't think trading is the same as gambling.
In trading, it is we who will determine the profit or loss. if you want to get out of a trade you made at a loss of course you do it on your own. it's not a matter of luck or a guess.
In gambling, when you place a bet, you have no control over your bet. It is the results published by the bookie that will determine your fate whether you will win or lose.
I guess the two are completely different.
It's already given above that they have some similarities but not completely the same. In trading, I thought you are the one who determines your outcome? So, why say trade at a loss? It's possible to incur a loss in trading because we don't have a full control with it but it was the market.

You only compare trading with sports betting but what about casino games? When you are betting multiple times and you use the autobet function, it is always possible to stop it before you lose all your balance. In sports betting, there is also multi bets and there is an option to cash out early but the profits that you will be getting is much lesser.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just my one cent advice on: August 08, 2022, 05:20:41 PM
Anyone noticing new projects still raising millions of dollars? Mohash and Dynamic for example, I think new projects will replace lots of top altcoins in coming years and my advice to young investors is to find new projects to mix with their portfolio, remember that Matic, Polkadot, Avalnache are once all new projects in 2018/2019..
Your advice is certainly understandable in terms of investing in what is new to the blockchain. But at the same time, as newcomers will look for these projects, because this requires analysis and understanding of what benefits the project will bring to the cryptocurrency industry. Everything that you mentioned has already been successfully used and developed further. You need something really new and useful to use, and then it will be a worthwhile investment.
If the newbies do not realize that they need to first understand blockchain and understand what crypto is all about, and learn from the mistakes of others that was done before they get in, before they start to make any investments, then they are going to be forced for a rude wake up call.

This doesn't mean that they can't get lucky, there are times during the bull market that plenty of newbies make stupid investments to shitty stuff and just because it is the bull market the prices go up and they make a profit. But that is not all the time and only during the bull market, which means that they will not have the second chance to do something like that again.
