1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2022, 09:41:26 PM
Well, that's right.

They'll have that salary cap and that's why some of them has to let go and be traded. As a player goes into a championship, I guess that they're also bound to increase their salaries and contracts.

And the GSW management can't keep with that and maybe, that's a brilliant thing for some of those that wanted to increase their salary but, they'll no longer be part of that great championship team that they've been part of.

The players already knew that they have no choice at all when they are being selected to be drafted so that the team will not pay excessive luxury tax, NBA is business after all as well as the franchise. If the players earn, the franchise needs to earn and save too, that's the point. If only luxury tax wasn't there, I bet the teams in the league will be so stacked up because they will be keeping their players especially the ones who are so vital for the team's win in the championship.
That makes sense.

They would have to do for the best for the team and if that has to let go of some of their players that have been with them and helped to win the title, there's no hard feelings on it.

Yeah, it's a business after all, all the franchises and teams that are in there. They're all doing the same thing and even in other teams, they have their superstars needed to trade for some players just to shuffle and make their roster look better.
1502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How about investing into altcoins? on: September 25, 2022, 12:27:28 PM
ADA is still the top coin, still in the top 10 coins on CMC. I still find it well worth the investment and ADA just completed the VASIL upgrade, which is an important upgrade for ADA.
I didn't know what the vasil upgrade was already done. I don't have a focus on ADA but such updates could really play that swing for ADA and or any project that has such updates.

As soon as bitcoin rises again, I believe ETH and ADA or top coins will go up very strongly. So now is a good time to buy altcoins. Choosing a new coin now is very risky as we will never know when the bear market will end.
That's one thing that we are sure about. Whenever bitcoin goes on the top, ETH, ADA and other top altcoins will also be there at the top.

And before you buy altcoins, you've got to make sure that you own and hold bitcoin.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 25, 2022, 11:24:01 AM
Passion is really something, don't you think? Any person, regardless of age, can create wonderful things out of passio and love for what they do.
There is no doubt that passionate people will continue what they're up to. Even they're already aging as long as the passion is doable, they'll do it whatever it takes.

Before it is too late, I believe that we should pursue our passions while we are still young. We should follow our dreams and make them come true no matter how long it takes, as long as we are happy with the results.
I agree to that, because I've seen old people that has never done what they love to do and they can't do it anymore because of their limited strength and resouces.

That's why we're learning from them and they're also telling and giving advise that we should do what we're passionate with no matter what it takes.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 24, 2022, 09:24:19 PM
Yes, there's no problem with that. I'm just seeing most of the fans have talked about that before but it's no longer a problem. Everyone has to end their journey with their championship team and has to be traded away if that's the management's decision.

They cannot keep them all anyway even if they wanted too. Their salary is bound to go up and if GSW keeps them, they would be over the cap and will be paying a lot of luxury tax. It would not be a wise move. They have to make a choice who to let go and who to keep.
Well, that's right.

They'll have that salary cap and that's why some of them has to let go and be traded. As a player goes into a championship, I guess that they're also bound to increase their salaries and contracts.

1505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Name the biggest problem/reason why aren't there more folks coming on Web3? on: September 24, 2022, 12:41:53 PM
I guess when people have understood how it works like it's just an added feature that you can easily connect your wallet to websites, then that's how they see the essence of web3.

It's still in its infancy and I think the main reason why the learning didn't proceed just like the enthusiasm of many through NFT games is because of the bear market.

This is what's happening when the market enters the bear, interest decreases anything related to crypto.
1506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term investing - Spot, Margin or Derivatives? on: September 24, 2022, 11:48:17 AM
Investing in cryptocurrencies is of course very convenient to do through the spot market,
I don't think that you should let it stay on the spot market when you're just going for long term. Like the majority's concern about holding in an exchange, you have no full control to your crypto there.

I'm sure 99% of people in this world will also make purchases in the spot market and store them in a wallet,
whether it's a hardware wallet or a software wallet. For sure Spot market is the first and easiest choice to buy Bitcoin and altcoins.
Yes, we do purchase in exchanges and should be a norm to keep them in hardware wallets or those wallets good for long term not with exchanges.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 24, 2022, 10:20:20 AM
Well, sad to say about the GSW, they didn't managed to keep the whole championship roster that they've got before as they need to release a few of them and do some trades.

I don't think that's a problem for Golden State Warriors as their core lineup is still intact.

Yes, I agree that those who departed are key players but not to the extent that releasing them will turn this team into the worst one.
Yes, there's no problem with that. I'm just seeing most of the fans have talked about that before but it's no longer a problem. Everyone has to end their journey with their championship team and has to be traded away if that's the management's decision.

The Warriors are still having their championship lineup.
No doubt, the roster is still a championship caliber and they could really get back again to the finals.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins that fell below negative 100% this bear market on: September 24, 2022, 09:18:31 AM
Its tandem, UST.

We cannot be sure in the market and that's why before you invest, you should have done your research before you're gonna be sure with what you're up to.

And for those projects that have been hyped by influencers, people should be double careful with them. Because these influencers are paid to advertise those projects without even looking if it's legitimate or not to their audience.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 23, 2022, 11:59:05 PM
To many teams upgrade their line up so we cannot say immediately that they became a title contender already since many teams create good movements so that they can compete with existing champion next season. I'm still impressed how GSW do to their team because they value to much their rooster and enhance the chemistry on their team. Maybe other should follow this action since chemistry is vital to team the success.
Well, sad to say about the GSW, they didn't managed to keep the whole championship roster that they've got before as they need to release a few of them and do some trades.

But for those teams that are really trying to pick the best for their roster. It's per season that we see them like that because every team's goal to be the season's champ no matter how strong the other teams are.

There are super teams like we've seen in Lakers but they lost so, it's no guarantee that even a team is composed of great players, they can still be beaten.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A good news or a bad news on: September 23, 2022, 11:27:02 PM
You probably heard of it newly and that's why it freaks you out. This has been an issue long ago and that's why it's no surprise if that's what they're asking from the Tether developers which is also connected to Bitfinex.

No need to be freaking out of it and let them handle their own compliance to what the court order has been issued to them.

We'll just wait on how they're going to respond on it.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 23, 2022, 10:57:13 PM
Oh well, it just shows Mayweather is not after the legacy or what not. He is definitely after the money, and he can't blame him, up to this day he can still better performance because throughout his career, he wasn't hit like other boxers and that's why you will hear him saying, health comes first.

So he can have as many exhibitions fight as he wanted, make millions out of it in matter of minutes and then go to the bank laughing when cashing it out. But I guess he will not get the respect of some old and former boxers.

I don't think he needs those respect and approval from old and former boxers.  He is already a legend and One of the best boxers in his era or possibly in the entire boxing history.  Those who frowned  his exhibition match doesn't have the say on the event because they can just skip and not watch it if they are not interested.
I agree, he don't need the approval of the others with what he does right now. He's already proven himself and his record is really at top of the line and it's hard to beat by the prime boxers today.

He should be the one respected by those that are still on their careers because no matter how hard they are, the achievements of what Money has right now is what he has worked for and it's hard to achieve.

Those exhibition matches he's doing, they're all for the money and he just accepts those offer as it's like his paycheck every time there are matches like that which isn't that a lot for him.
1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum drop gets me worried. on: September 23, 2022, 10:25:22 PM
Ethereum drops after proof-of-stake.
Source' channelsnews.com

My worry right now is that, is it going to drop worst more than it has already and what are the chances of it pulling up within the shortest possible period?

As am getting the feeling of withdrawing my asset before it gets worst or am I been too haste.
What's your plan when you've bought Ethereum? Short term or long term?

If you're short term, you better cut your losses and save it from more possible losses because it's really possible that we may see it drop more.

Otherwise, hold it and remove that worry of yours because the market always recover after all of these dumps.
1513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can all (or most) cryptocurrencies rise and fall at the same time? on: September 23, 2022, 09:50:31 PM
Altcoins will always rely on the situation of Bitcoin because as the king of all cryptocurrencies, it always dominates the market. That's the reason why most altcoins pump during the bullish season and dump along with the price of Bitcoin when the bearish situation occurs.
This has always been the matter.

The market is being led by bitcoin and all of the cryptos are going on where it goes. That's why, most of the alts are also going down when bitcoin is down.

And if they haven't seen it yet, during the bull run, it's like the most profitable days as bitcoin moves up then many of the altcoins are also moving up together with bitcoin.

But that doesn't mean that altcoins that follow the movement of Bitcoin are all reliable. You still have to be wise in choosing. The legitimacy of coins that we're investing in always matters because even scam projects go along with the value of Bitcoin.
True, because some of them go inversely.
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 22, 2022, 11:00:28 PM
Casinos are trying their best to stop money laundry that is why there is KYC but this can not prevent money laundry as the big shots are the ones into money laundry and the casinos needs this big shots to play in their casino. So I think its kinda difficult for the casinos, government only have less time to checkmate the casinos and their customers. Government will only have time, if there is a money laundry case which is traced to that casino.
It's like the first place that they'll tracked when there's a case.

The government would go back to the casino at the roots of it when a person has done it. And that's why they just have to check it if the user really has done it due to the casino policies and everyone has to comply.

Just as the casino does as well.
1515  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why full time to crypto why not to Skills on: September 22, 2022, 08:38:23 PM
Because we see in many websites (up work or freelance), the work here and get money as a huge amount.
Not really all will get that "huge" amount.

In relation to the title, the amount will depend on the skills you've got. That's why those with many experiences and they've got a high paying skill, no doubt that they'll get high paying offers.

But to those that are easy skills and has a lot of people knows about that skill already, do not expect to get high paying offers because the freelance market is already not that big anymore for its demand.
1516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ETH/BTC, what does it reveal to you? on: September 22, 2022, 07:46:57 PM
It's just a trading pair but, this is like the most superior of them all for which two coins that are most popular amongst the crypto market.

There's still a need to go over through the whole market and see where you can take advantage based on the market situation if you're a trader.

This shouldn't be a big deal though because most trades have their pairs and if you choose to be like what the others are doing, you can copy it.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2022, 06:53:28 PM
That 4 year deal was already as a good as what he wants to make. Well, he probably have that proud issue then and thought that many teams would like to get him.

He thinks that he is more valuable than a 4-year $84 Million. Sometimes there are players who think they are at the point of their very best performance. Not wrong at all but at least he was able to open his eyes to reality. That deal is already good but since he believes other teams will offer him a $100M deal, that's not what happened.

Not late though. Schroder can show what he got on this season and see if he will be eligible for a much decent contract later on.
He learned a lesson the hard way and that's why every opportunity that knocks, he should grab it. I guess most of the players that are contract delicates, they should learn it all from Nowitzki who stayed with the Dallas until his retirement.

Even if there have been great deals and offers to him, he chose to stay and the same goes for Kobe.

That's the consequence if you see yourself higher. His ego got higher even though he didn't play very well in the playoffs before the offer was made. He expected to be paid at least $100M because that's what his value is at that time. Now his decisions backfired him and possible that it will be his worst decision in his whole NBA career.

The good thing though is that the Lakers accepted him again but now instead of a 4-year $84M, they offered him 1 year $2.6M. Kinda funny TBH after him seeing himself as a player worth a hundred million and now they are offering him a veteran minimum contract. Of course, he has no choice now but to accept it because no team wants him anymore. Now he is back with the Lakers, maybe it's time for him to redeem himself after what happened to him these past few years. Let's just hope that he will be a good contributor to the team.
Funny it is actually.

That when he was offered more than the offer to him today + inflation, it's totally out of the price that he was expecting before. But, I'm sure that he has learned it.
1518  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: September 22, 2022, 06:14:20 PM
Yes!

Definitely, that we're just experiencing this because of the cycle and it's not going to be that low forever. People who have been worried about this dump should look at the charts. Like they should start on 2017,2018 and onwards.

And they'll see how significant this happening right now with the market, it's all about the accumulation period and people shouldn't neglect that opportunity that's in front of them.

Those who will make a lot are made on this situation.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Run and Bear Market on: September 22, 2022, 05:41:35 PM
These your simple question has no exact answer to it, believe it or leave it, Bull Run we soon start, but nobody know exact time when it happen, but is good time to buy and hold.
We just came from it and we're dealing with the bear market.

But, what you're saying is true that no one knows about it when it will exactly going to come. And we're sure about it that it'll come no matter how long this bear market will occur.

It's going to come no matter what happens. The market soon will recover and everyone's going to like the market again when the bull is there.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 21, 2022, 11:47:05 PM
So, before Dennis got an offer from them with a huge contract and he declined it? And now, he's got a contract with them but it's no longer great as before.

To summarize what happened to Dennis Schroder;

- traded from Oklahoma City Thunders to Los Angeles Lakers (2020-21)
- he rejected the 4-year $84 million Lakers contract extension (end of 2021 season) as he is eyeing a much higher deal as a UFA
- he couldn't find his expected long-term deal - in other words, no teams offered what he wants
- no choice but to accept a deal with the Boston Celtics - a 1-year, $5.9 million

He received a BIG LOL from the basketball community because of what happened. And now returning to Lakers with a 1-year, $2.6 million contract, the BIG LOL continues. However, it was reported that Schroder really wants to return to the Lakers, if he says so, then I will buy it. If he plays well this upcoming season, I'm sure the Lakers will offer him a good contract extension.
That's a huge gap from what has been offered to him and yet he still fall back to Los Angeles Lakers that has cared for him. But, not anymore with the high offer that was given to him before.

That 4 year deal was already as a good as what he wants to make. Well, he probably have that proud issue then and thought that many teams would like to get him.

We'll just wait what will the Lakers do once his contract expires.
