1661  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US agencies can now hack into the networks of criminals and foreign governments on: February 12, 2023, 06:57:47 AM

Is there a chance stolen funds from north korean ransomware, or our 2022 DeFi crime wave might be recovered from such operations?

Assuming the guys at Pyongyang are not dumb enough to leave their war bounty in a hot wallet, I would say there is little chance USA could recover funds. Even if there is a chance, the fact Biden has opened addressed this new strategy just makes easier the adversaries to be on guard.

I think the objective is not actually to recover money from North Koreans but rather provoke damage to their software and hardware, and eventually make it more difficult for them to operate and cost them money, additionally make their future heists less effective, of course.

that's about right and the crypto wallet companies i think may just be a perfect target for this operation.

they will start by identifying who are these people in the networks of criminals and if they say Bitcoin users, it will them the right to investigate software wallet developers and codes. the first aim is always fake like the NKor hackers and the real target is where they can make crypto indsutry vulnerable.
1662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawing Bitcoin off the radar on: February 12, 2023, 06:14:03 AM
there's got to be someone out there who wants to buy BTC and privacy concern individual and wants to buy in cash so there is no KYC as well. finding them is just a needle in the haystack.

transaction in person with cash on hand seems like a robbery ambush waiting. it's risky but probably meeting in public and close to a police station will lessen the risk.
1663  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 11, 2023, 07:13:01 PM
Personally I think breaking $25K this month could be a bit early, especially if most people are expecting it to happen already. I think March is more realistic, though wouldn't rule out breaking above $25K in the next week or two. I think it depends more so if current prices or $21K level will hold as support, if not then it will likely take price longer to consolidate if $20K (accumulation) levels are re-visited.

Easy for me to say of course with the hindsight of the last week, but yeah, it's going to require a full 15% rally, and sustained, to break and stay above $25k. Still very much on the cards, but I wonder if there's just too much uncertainty now to figure in that kind of push in 2.5 weeks --we're about to receive news on full 2022 economic performance and I suspect it will be worse than expected.

But does past economic performance really still have an effect on BTC and the altcoin market?  I feel like after FTX's demise, the crypto market showed that it had nothing more give in terms of sell downs and went down not by much if we compare it with the Luna fiasco.  If the market really had more sell downs to give I think it would've went down to 12k?  Dunno...  But it sure looks like there aren't much sellers at the 16k - 20k range.

A lot of you guys would prolly welcome another sell down to 16k just so you could pick more up.

yep it does look like there are no bears going to sell as such price anymore after it wont 24k last week. but the greed index in crypto market this week is not encouraging. its still in neutral 49 https://www.cointree.com/learn/crypto-fear-and-greed-index/
i guess it also convince investors that we are really no yet out of the woods.

while dow, s&r is already in the greed 70 https://edition.cnn.com/markets/fear-and-greed

1664  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: February 11, 2023, 03:52:43 PM

What governments can do to make it more equitable?

the government will not do anything like that. they are taking more from the people so the people will keep working to pay more for the government.
the WEF is compose of people who are ruling elite of the world which even Putin was a member of it.

the WEF are saying "you will owned nothing and be happy"  this already explains they want you to have nothing. but i don't think you will be happy.

if you own nothing that means someone else owns it and only the rich guys and probably the cronies of the government officials who are among the 20%. its probably less than 20% by now

1665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum cofounder :Vitalik Buterin donates 99 ether to Ahbap Earthquake Support on: February 11, 2023, 03:32:40 PM

Quote
Ahbap's official website says $4,207,562 in crypto donations has been collected.
they gonna need more than this.

Vilatik can influence a lot of big investors in crypto, this initiative of him can help crypto make a good name. this is the kind of catastrophic event that should make the world unite than having a war that actually can be prevented. with cooler heads.

we are not seeing big names yet but we might soon see Charles Hoskinson or CZ also donate a stash. hopefully.

1667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors that US SEC would like to ban crypto staking on: February 10, 2023, 07:53:10 AM

it doesn't sound fud anymore since the news came out just late yesterday that Kraken was fined by SEC to pay $30M for unregistered crypto ‘staking’ product. It's not just one article site telling us this news.

it's a wonder though that it's just Kraken that is attacked by SEC. i suppose Jessie and Brain had been in talks about this before Brain posted that rumor on twitter. he must have been laughing that SEC had not aimed at him yet or Gensler is afraid that coinbase will fight back.

1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors that US SEC would like to ban crypto staking on: February 09, 2023, 08:57:22 AM
probably fud. worse is that it comes from coinbase CEO.

ETH Zhejiang update is fast approaching and because of this update, the validators in the beacon chain can finally withdraw their rewards and their ETH. once staking is banned, they can not get back to becoming a validator anymore. that's tragic for there are too many users and institutions staking ETH. ETH price will be dumped in this isn't a fud.
1669  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to sell bitcoin before the next bear market starts? on: February 09, 2023, 08:26:35 AM

you wanna zoom way out to your monthly timeframe and watch the RSI hit the overbought line and if you see it is overbought. that's a good sign to sell your coins.

the last bull run, the RSI hit 90.99 around March 2021.  the market, however, is unpredictable the price spike higher on Nov 2021 but the RSI is still correct, it is a good indicator for this purpose.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features in Crypto Casinos for the Elderly on: February 09, 2023, 06:58:31 AM

you can explain it better to an elderly as they best see it themselves in action than explaining it on a video. they can easily mess it up if they follow instructions, they may not even know how to google or learn the terms in crypto.

all they need is a wallet. and the games in traditional casinos are almost the same as in crypto. if you mean a bingo game for the elderly, then it seems like there's none yet.
1671  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who really fought the Nazis on: February 08, 2023, 04:34:52 PM
the truth in history is harder to trace when everyone had published a book with a version of the truth of thier own. truth is that all governments are Nazis. they all kill.

but which superpower today is most trusted by the way?
you can't say China because after all newspapers and media today spread hate about China but in Africa, Asia and even in Central and South America, they prefer China. Even Germany and Australia are the biggest trading partner of China.
you can't say Russia, but they are among the founder of BRICS and OPEC countries trust Putin more than anyone.
you can't say the USA either, with all the countries it sanctioned and bombed over the years. but the US has Canada and Europe.

leaders all over the world will not see any of them unifying the world, this is why multipolar is what Putin is suggesting.

1672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do small e-commerce businesses are scared of accepting crypto payments? on: February 08, 2023, 07:36:31 AM

only the bold shop owner who accepts the volatility of BTC.  even investors are fearful of in investing BTC because the volatility turns a profit into a loss.  what they could do is use the platform they could convert the BTC into USD.

i'm not a shop owner but if i have a popular e-commerce site, i would probably try a few selected items to sell for BTC if i'm one. just to test and slowly attract the crypto community.
1673  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VIDEO: Thousands killed in Turkey, Syria following massive quake that struck... on: February 08, 2023, 06:25:26 AM
heard of that thing before. lol
there are theories as well about technology to control the weather which was used back in the Vietnam war and then the technology was banned for use. today however its been used for farming according to some news.  if there is a tech for weather, maybe there is also a tech for earthquake control.

i couldn't help also why Turkey and Syria only. it couldn't be too coincidental. could it?  Grin
1674  Economy / Economics / Re: The Dedollarisation is on the road on: February 07, 2023, 09:21:12 AM
I wouldn't call "dedollarisation" the process which you are describing.
It's just a bunch of countries with totalitarian regimes deciding not to use US dollars. Most of those totalitarian regimes (excluding China) are under western sanctions, so they are trying to show muscles by saying "F**k U!" to the USA and the US dollar.
Does it work? Not really. Is the US dollar under danger because of this? I don't think so. At least not in the upcoming several decades.
I don't mind the US dollar losing a part of it's global dominance. The USA has been exporting inflation for the last 20 years. Maybe this process would lower the global inflation levels, because the world would become less dependent by the money printing machine of the Federal Reserve.

its always printing money as solution but eventually devalues https://youtu.be/ABg3A7yuqAk?t=143

same reason why they started dedollarization because of the inflation that affects all other countries using the USD. before inflation takes the economy to the ground, BRICS may haave to start a unified rules and policies for the countries involved and only them benefits. but because it will take years, governmnets around the world has time to decide.

i think BTC will win over thier currencies they are making though.
1675  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance tax has been launched? on: February 07, 2023, 07:51:09 AM
The tool itself is an advantage for users of Binance who move large chunks of money and have to declare their income and every other details to their local authorities. I don't think there is any disadvantage on this tool. The disadvantage many people complain about is to have to declare income and pay taxes to the government, although it's an inevitable part of the deal when using centralized services.

i'm already complaining before it will be launched in my country. i read the tools will compute each transaction you make. i have no problem paying but what i'm not curious is if the government will ask the taxes on the ancient transactions we did before the crypto tax law.

it's not fair actually for crypto users since our transactions are audited and can be seen on the public ledger. our taxes should also be seen where it's spent on the government's public ledger as well.

1676  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 06, 2023, 05:48:06 PM
Hello,
Has anyone used ChatGPT for trading?
It's called "ChatGPT", yep... Did you see the word Chat?

It's a chatbot, not a trading bot. It being an AI chatbot does not mean it should make trade decisions for you… lol. Forget about it.
If you want to learn about trading, then it might help you with some theory and that is it.

lol this alone will really wake him. i don't also get it why a bot that will reply som,e accurate information on whatever we ask can actually be used for trading as OP thought so.

what i've read was that it can write codes which if it can, a person may be able to request to write a trading bot for the most effective trading system it knew and can be integrated into his tradingview account. it will be cool to hear some success stories about it if there are.
1677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I liked this project let me know about your thoughts on this on: February 06, 2023, 04:48:01 PM

It's been just a few minutes of reading new threads in the forum and i can already tell organized shilling for this $SUGAR.
obviously, the yields are too good to be true. we wouldn't be able to stop you from investing even iff we say NO.

DEFI is really great source of income since 2020, so i have no doubt there will be more projects that will also work the same as it was. as long as you can sell the tokens you hold before all comes crashing again, why not.
1678  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: February 06, 2023, 04:34:42 PM
the person you probably ask for tips in trading doesn't want you to trust him either because he doesn't want you to blame him if incase you lose money because of his trading advice.

trust yourself and trade based on you what you have read on your trading chart. you wouldn't have to blame someone else. this way you will strive to learn with your experience.
1679  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why America Should Ban Crypto on: February 05, 2023, 08:58:38 PM

he could be right about crypto being securities and mostly being dumped to the retail investors for the early investors to make money. but SEC itself is not considering BTC as security and this is why Charlie did not say anything about BTC because he understands there is no entity nor insider trading that could happen in Bitcoin.

the problem is that even if they can ban crypto, it will exist somewhere else. and there is a lot to lose when crypto thrives without the US.
1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: February 05, 2023, 08:08:42 PM

shakur shows high skills every time and is very much exposed to us since he is more covered in media than this Japanese but this tale of the tape shows Yoshino has a large advantage in power over Stevenson, he has 75% knockout while Stevenson's 47%.
